    The crossbow went together quickly and the general fit and finish is a bit above what I expected for the price. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx5B43Qabqt1HedUJyfEqxiwBCfaooIH52 The adjustable stock is a little loose. I had an issue when I tried to cock the bow for the first time with the safety on. The string set in the trap box, held just enough to build up enough tension to rip the string out of my hands when it let go. No significant damage was done, and once I got it sighted in, I wrecked a couple bolts by sending one straight down the shaft of the first. I'm holding ~2" groups at around 50 yards, and I'm not an expert by any means. Best part is that they supply all the replacements parts you may ever need

    I’ve always been a firearm hunter but since I lost 3 fingers last year the pain and ache of the cold weather on them is almost unbearable. So since I don’t wanna give up on hunting I figured I’d get into crossbow and hunt in some of the warmer months. I think the crank will help so much with my one hand that only has a pinky and thumb 😅. Thank you for the video

      Hey Travis, if you haven't done so already, pick yourself up a pair of heated mittens for the cold winter months. I lost the tip of my finger plus I have poor circulation in my hands and I could not find any gloves that would keep my hands warm. I finally bought a pair of heated mitts off Amazon and I absolutely love them. Oh, buy some extra batteries for the gloves while you're at it! You can wear liners with them which I do, so when it comes time to shoot your trophy buck, you can take the heated mitts off and still have protection.

    I made the mistake of releasing the crank before it was fully cranked and when I did that, the handle came spinning back at a 1,000 miles a hour hitting my thumb and almost breaking it! It also broke the butt end completely in two! My thumb is swollen and black and blue! Lesson learned the hard way. Thankfully Dunhams gave me a new bow no questions asked

      These bolts are 20 inch Carbon Express Pile Drivers. They performed great. If you plan to shoot Rage brand broadheads (or any other rear deploy blades) you may have to switch to a 22 inch bolt because the blades will hit the rail/head of the crossbow. New to bow hunting and want to buy a bow.
    I’m curious, what the difference is between the power draw crank and the silent crank?
    Also, would you recommend this bow for a person new to bow hunting? (I rifle hunt usually) or is there another bow you would recommend?
    I’m left handed and short (5’1”). I’m only getting into bow hunting since we got some land that is good for hunting but in an area that only allows bows. Likely will use the bow 2-3 times a year. I want a bow that will work to kill a deer and is higher the lowest quality; however, I do not want to spend too much. Ideally around or under $450. I am also open to a compound or a crossbow.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    • @HuntingHospitality
      @HuntingHospitality  Рік тому

      Yes this bow would be a great fit for you in my opinion. The difference in the cranking device is the overall design. The silent crank is a much better design, and is 100% silent. The power crank works fine, but can get twisted up much easier than the silent crank when not in use. I would recommend this bow to anyone, New to bow hunting or someone just looking for an upgrade. I hope this helps!

    i bought this bow last yr cause of a bad shoulder and usin it this yr. . center point kinda plays down the sights and bolts, i did get different bolts but the sights are dead on, adjusted at 30 and the 40 is spot on. i`m from the recurve time so use to close shots, 15-25 is all i`ve ever taken and passed a huge montana elk at 35 because with the compound i had at the time i limited myself to 30 yd. in an open field i dont doubt this x-bow at 50 yd, but its loud to me, but so fast. maybe i got a jewel but i`m not spending more for a better scope when this one is smack dab on, i think they underestimate their bows scope and would recommend this bow to anyone.
