Successful Coyote Hunting In Kentucky!
Great review, I am highly considering a purchase.
How far can you shoot the 425 accurately
I would say 50-60 yards pretty easy.
Do you have to use a the crossbow sled style rope cocker or can use the normal style with the hooks
i saw 1 thing that wasnt safe make sure when u load the bow to grab at the end of arrow before the bolt never put hands in string area when cocked bc of course its dangerous. But yea i jus got the same bow almost month ago its awesome bought it used for 150 jus for bow ended up paying 225 for everything else also came with a tenpoint scope so jus wanted to share that wit u guys.
How is your crossbow doing now? I’m thinking about getting an Amped 425, let me know how it’s doing please. Thanks
It is still doing great!
@@HuntingHospitality Thanks for your help!!!
Adjust the screw on the post
WOW they way you loaded that bolt you put your fingers in the triangle where the string if it goes of will take your fingers right off or the meat to bone. You are supposed to load it from the front outside were the string if it accidently went off will not hit your fingers our hand look up some crossbow safety video's and i'm not trying to be an asshole just don't want to see anyone get hurt be user error....
@@johnsmith-oh2xo thanks for the concern. This has already been addressed and noted.
@@HuntingHospitality Good deal didn't want to sound like an ass lol nice crossbow for the price and good video too would like to see more of this kind of content have a great day...
Looking to get one next weekend center point makes a good budget crossbow it will be the secont ive owned first one lost in a house fire yr before last had great luck with it
@@kevinsloan3019 this one is still going strong! Zero issues with it
What Broadheads do you use? Arrows required to be 20” and the channel for broadheads is pretty tight.
We actually switched to a 22 inch bolt to shoot the Rage broadheads. They would not clear using the 20s that it came with!
@@HuntingHospitality that’s the problem I’m running into. I guess I will have to go with 22”. It operates ok with 22?
@@SaintJames40 shoots great with a 22 inch bolt. Give up some FPS but pick up in the kinetic energy department! Might shoot little low outside of 20 yards or so if it was sighted in with 20 inch bolts. Hope this helps!
Looks like it’s time to sand and restain the old deck you just damaged!😂
some years ago, '20' bought a Charles Daly 601 or very similar. after a time, the firing pin failed, sent it back, they repaired it and no troubles since, tho seldom used. attached note said, after some use, the buffer from the bolt travel could become worn and if so, return and they would take care of it. good repair policy. become my home protection, with buck.
How is this crossbow working for you 1 year later?
Fantastic! It was used this last fall (2023) on a great KY Whitetail in velvet! Be sure to check it out!
good job Red. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Agree in 5 to 7 yrs is enough time for that to be discontinued and not as good . But a rifle still has gone unchanged for 100 yrs just think the prices of those things are out of hand cool yeah but so expensive
......uh.....that's way to much bs to reload.
TenPoint has the worst customer service of any bow manufacturer I have dealt with. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS!!!!!
Sorry to hear that! What kind of issues did you have with the product?
I have to disagree. I own 3 tenpoint bows and they have been great. The problems I did have were self inflicted and Randy from Tenpoint took care of me and exceeded my expectations.
@@iBleedStarsAndBars What does owning 3 crossbows have anything to do with the garbage customer service at TenPoint?
@@xGoobeyBearx my crossbows are all Tenpoints and the customer service I have recieved from them has been excellent. Might wanna try joining crossbow nation forum and getting to know Randy that works for Tenpoint. He will make sure any problems will be solved. You are probably just a Ravin fan boy trolling here anyways
Is there any wear on the cables right where they cross by the plastic clip that divides the cables i got a used patriot 425 and its not looking good right in that spot guy said its only a year old an hasn't shot it much im sacred its gonna blow up on me
I would probably take it to a shop and make sure the cables are on correctly. The split (where the cables split) can be on the wrong side on the rail. Hope this helps. Most of the time I believe they split to the right side. But I’d have it looked at. Hope this helps!
I got a Ruger shooting precision rifle 308 with sig scope that will last many many years for under 2500..this crossbow is well over 3500...no waaayyyy dude
Happen to catch where it's made?
We did not. I’m not sure if the are USA or not. I’m sure on the website it will say.
$4,000 after arrows, Broadheads, and tax😥
MSRP?
They didn’t have an exact number but said it would be under 1000 for the package
So $999.99. Got it
@@chadlutz7198if I was to guess I’d say around $800 for the package. Just my guess
I was really looking forward to Prime’s bows this year. I know speed isn’t everything, but Prime just flat out lied about the speed of these bows. Unfortunately it’s common practice amongst all bow manufacturers to fudge the IBO speed numbers, but primes advertised speed this year is 20+ fps less than advertised. That’s the most “off” of all the brands tested this year (by a lot).
It does seem that some manufactures will do that. Numbers aside, those 2 bows shot GREAT! Draw cycle is top notch! Thanks for the feedback
These things are really getting ridiculous, for the price go buys firearm
The prices are getting out of hand. But the same can be said with a very high quality rifle, those are not cheap and are made for a lifetime. Just have to make sure to compare apples to apples. Thanks for the feedback!
What about the other new cameras?
Unfortunately we got cut short on time and didn’t get a chance to make a video on all of them.
@@HuntingHospitality bummer. Thanks for the content.!!
I'm thinking about getting one. How was the cycling?
Cell cams should be illegal.
Some would agree and some would disagree. Thanks for the feedback!
Deer will never hear the camera moving lol 😂😂😂
Apparently it is very quiet.. not sure how accurate that is lol time will tell. Appreciate the feedback!
Will someone in their customer service actually answer the phone when you try to warranty them WHEN they fail??? Worst customer service ever
info@gsmorg.com or 8772698490 Maybe try to reach out to GSM. They might be able to connect you to someone from Stealth Cam. Hope this helps!
Where is it made?
Game changer for sure!
For sure! Definitely going to give one a try this season!
What ever happend to ur new sticks u were supposed to come out with
How do you think the reliability and maintenance of this bow will be in comparison to the tx440? The 515 I can see would preferred hunting option but what about shooting groups at distance and with some hunting? Would the 440 have a bit of an advantage for more of the dual role purpose, recreational shooting and hunting?
It would be nice if you told us the price ! Wow
They did not mention exact prices to us. But we did hear that total package price would be under $1000. (Saddle, sticks and platform)
What is it going to cost ?
Said budget friendly…so really expensive still if tethered
They did not mention exact prices to us. But we did hear that total package price would be under $1000. (Saddle, sticks and platform)
What retailers???
Will this help me wound small bucks like in the Latitude Grit series?
Not totally sure what you mean?
I’m really curious to learn more about the tx440.
We will try to get that for you!
@@HuntingHospitality thank you.
A regular lawn more probably could have done what that was working on.
Maybe so. But unfortunately we can’t get a lawnmower up to this property. Pretty much has to be 4 wheel drive to access. Thanks for the feedback!
I got mine a out a month or so ago for under $190
That is a great deal! Are you happy with it so far?
Do straight corn with attractants I'd be interested in that for sure and I think this was a success
We will probably start doing some other feed videos here soon! Thanks for the feedback!
I can get one for $199 right now. I think its worth it even if I just use it as a fun range toy.
Definitely worth that! That’s a good deal
First: thanks for reviewing this gear. Much appreciated. These videos don't make themselves. Second: Ignor the haters trying to make themselves sound intelligent. Avoid getting in pizzing contests with them. Been away from hunting ( life gets in the way) but tried saddle hunting a few years back. I have an old "antique" Trophy Line tree saddle. They were one of the very first but Im ready to get into a new saddle. Thanks for helping me with my decision. 👍
Thanks for the advice! Hard time dealing with some people. This video/channel was made to help people, we’re not pro’s. Thanks again and hope you have a great Christmas!
Excellent review. You're the first one to mention its seige/havoc heritage, and what they have updated to the flatline.
ATA 2024 is in a few weeks. We will see what they have new for 24! Stay tuned
This is not for bigger guy's l have one its broken
Sorry to hear that! Did you contact the Hawk? How was the customer service?
@@HuntingHospitality no l never did and why would I.
@@scooterb9162was just thinking they would help you out since it broke..
Just wanted to find out how you wife reacted your crossbow drill.
She actually took it well! lol Was not happy but she is pretty understanding
cam the platform it will bite at the top
We tried that. It still did not want sit in the tree properly. The pull strap does not seem to be the best quality in my opinion. We installed a ratch strap from XOP and it worked great!
Don’t buy the back pack, they look great but cheaply made. Sent 2 emails because straps came off and never took to the woods and no answer back. Bought over $1,000 worth of equipment less than 30 days bad customer service Charles Remy
Sorry you have had that experience! We are currently using the Cruzr saddle and love them so far. Have not used customer service. Thanks for the feedback!
@@HuntingHospitality I love there saddles and foot stands ! There fast shippers but the back pack straps are not sewn in good . Cruzr won’t even respond to me and it’s not even 30 days old !! I’m getting ready for our rut hunts in Florida . They have terrible customer service and I just spent a little over $1,000 last month there
Same as the 415
Set the bolt with the nock in boiling water for a few minutes, this melts the glue. Take a 22” rod 3/32” in diameter. Use small hammer and those nocks will pop out with ease.
I will have to try that next time! Thanks for the feedback!
Seriously, you need to be careful when you buy one of these. I bought the center point patriot four twenty five, which is now the amp four twenty five. First off. It was sold to me as one that I would be able to pull back on the street if the Crank was unavailable but when I opened my box inside the box. That contains the power crank there was a completely different crank in it Crank was unavailable but when I opened my box inside the box. That contains the power crank. I don't know how they thought a 5 foot. 2 female was ever going to be able To pull back on it without the crank
Have you tried shortening the pull rope? Most models allow you to retie/add new knots to adjusts the pull height for the manual rope, Depending on the height of the user. Hope this helps!
Does the hawk have Mole capability? I can’t find anywhere online if it does or not
Yes. It has a single row at the very top of the saddle. Hope this helps!
