      Haha, new tricks are such fun Mally. Keep learning. It’s good to see that you found the Bodies and Components tutorials, even though there are only two of them, they are good to follow up the 16 Basic tutorials. You might like to take a look at the intermediate series next. Click through to the channel home page by clicking on the little FE logo and then on the Playlists page.

    Thanks Arnold, I’ve been using Fusion for a couple of months now. I’m a retired Electrical Engineer but an aspiring Mechanical Enginner😊. You have succinctly demonstrated the value of doing designs in an organized fasion. Keep up the good work.

      Thanks Jim, stick with the journey, I hope to see what you make eventually.
      There's a lot more to say about bodies and components, and I'll be looking for some interesting models for more demonstrations so you can practise, practise, practise.

    Thanks for your videos. I got a 3D Printer this winter so I needed to learn a CAD program. I learned more from Your 16 tutorials than everything else I watched put together. I think the way You gave out the sketches first was really helpful. I'm amazed that with Your teaching style how quick I was able to make fairly complex designs. This series about components and assemblies is just where I was starting to getting stuck, so it's good to see You continuing. Your a great teacher Thanks

      That's encouraging Matt thanks. I need to do a few more on components, I've only just begun to realise that most people need a good foundation in the control of the browser structure to avoid the knotty problems that come up there. Keep going.

    I create my 3d objects in F360 and export using the .3MF extension as that opens easily in Cura for 3D printer slicing. I notice the circles are really multi-sided polygons when I open the 3MF file. If I export as STL (takes longer) I get better resolution on the round parts. Is there a setting I am missing to get better resolution for the 3MF files?

      @ArnoldRowntreeTeachesFusion360  3 роки тому

      I haven't been able to find any way to control the colours George. Are you sure it isn't that they are just not the active components? Activate one that is wishy washy and click somewhere else in the window. If that doesn't liven up the colours I'm stumped.

      Crozwayne, have you worked through the 16 basic tutorials? This Bodies and Components tutorial is pitched at beginners level but really that means those who have gone through the practice and discipline of the first 16. Its the next step. I can assure you that this will work the same way in all four license versions of Fusion 360, there are so many things that can trip you up with new software. I have to apologise for taking five days to respond to you here, normally I can help a bit more promptly.
