    This video saved my life. I've got serious knee issues that I almost had to stop taking dance lessons. Doctors didn't help, but thanks to this exercise which I do regularly, I am able to dance again. And dance is life, so that is why you saved my life. :) I have also found my life partner thanks to dance lessons, everything is connected. :)

    The exercises are good only if you can set the camera to wide shot. Sometimes I have to wait for the camera to move to that part to understand the posture. Thanks for sharing.

    I found this video extremely helpful. I didn't think I would make it through because I workout before it, but just when I was about to stop, I noticed I only had a few minutes left! The next day, I had so much energy and no knee pain at all! Thank you! I know this video is a bit older and I'm not sure if you've done others like this, I'll have to check, but a little feedback for you, I'm sure someone else has mentioned this. It would help to film your whole body because it's hard to begin the exercise with you if we can't see what you're doing down below, especially when you're new to the video. I will be checking out your other videos! Thanks again!

    I'm waiting for a scan on my right knee after it gave way painfully three weeks ago. The scan is on 19th. Im not waiting till then to end up with weak knees so I began other gentle exercises a week ago only to find this. I've begun tonight and will do this again tomorrow. I'm 50 and had crunchy knees for years...ran since I was 9. I'll keep subscribing and working out till scan. Thank you so much

      Helen Morgan if you have someone in your area that has extracorporeal shockwave therapy, try and get some for your knees. It will break up scar tissue and stimulate new cartilage growth. Also, PRP Jackson’s can help stimulate new cartilage

I had issues with my knee for a long time (lots of pain, couldn't walk for too long) after a bad accident and no physician I visited managed to set me straight. This very week -after a couple of doing this routine- I managed to get back to running for the first time in two years! There are no words to describe how amazing you are, thank you so much.

    I´ve been doing metabolic conditioning programs (calisthenics-based with occasional dumbbell-based work) for years and - even though I thought I was in extraordinary shape for a 47 year- old man, I developed knee and shoulder (rotator cuff) issues that began to bring me increasing amounts of discomfort and pain.
    Out of desperation, I began to look around UA-cam for rotator cuff rehab workouts. That´s how I came across your shoulder workouts and began to do them before I moved on to metcon. The relief was immediate.
    Then, I got curious and started looking around the channel for knee workouts and found this one, which I did today following the shoulder workout. Now, I´m suscribing to the channel. These workouts are great.

They gave me print outs as well as an app linked to them exact same exercises as we see here . Hi Adam,
    Thanks for this exercise routine. I enjoyed it. However, since I have bad left knee, it was too painful (with cracking noises) to do the exercise starting at 10:08. Is there a less difficult variation? Thanks!

      I get that. Really try to engage your inner thighs while you do the exercise. Otherwise, just to a shallow squat instead. Also, check out my other knee rehab videos (playlist). This one is a little more advanced. And find someone to do some ESWT on your knee.

    every time i attempt to do anything to benefit the muscles near my knees, after a week or so pain develops and eventually fluid builds up and than i have to call out of work for 3-5 days, so i end up skipping anything to do with my legs for months just so i can build up time at work incase i decide to give leg workouts another go in fear of yet another flare up. Also i can't ever find a doctor that will even just sit down with me and help me explain of any underlying causes to my flare ups that which seem to happen no matter what around fall (usually between September and October)

      icynok I want you to get some big ice packs and start with my beginner videos. After the videos, wrap your knees and freeze them for 15 to 20 minutes. Let’s see if this decreases the flareup.

    • @dradamfields
      @dradamfields  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for letting me know. You may have some type of internal derangement or a tibia misalignment. If the tibia has gone posterior, we often see the knee "give out" when running/walking down hill. I want you to do the DEEP muscle work/foam roller at the ITB/Vastus Lateralis junction and stretch out your popliteus multiple times per day. If you were in my office i would be adjusting, possibly using ESWT, checking your hips, looking for myofascial trigger points and possibly ordering an MRI. All that being said, I would continue to do the exercises while you continue your search.

      Blew When you are doing rehab, you can take six days a week. After you get them feeling good, go with three times a week. Hopefully, you can just get into doing exercises that usual eggs rather than as much rehab.

    During these exercises, should the standing leg be completely straight or slightly bent?

    • @dradamfields
      @dradamfields  4 роки тому

      Wondered about this as well coz couldnt see it in the video. But i think i prefer Taichi's rationale re proper knee alignment. Legs ahould always be SLIGHTLY bent for stability and balance. A taichi instructor once told me to stand wirh my legs straight and then gave me a slight push. I stumbled back. When he showed me the proper stance, i couldnt topple.
      This aside, the vid is very helpful for muscle training i need for the new normal.

      @@dradamfields Another area you may want to improve in future videos is to get the camera pointing at the body parts we need to see. Several times I tried to understand what I was supposed to do with my legs while the camera showed your torso. :-D

    • @raynehall5464
      @raynehall5464 3 роки тому

      Each time I try to follow the video, I find more contradictions. So often, tell the viewers to do one thing, and do something different yourself. This makes it awkward to know what I'm supposed to be doing - follow your spoken instructions or your demonstration?
      When you tell us to hold at the top for one second each time, but don't hold for one second yourself (for one tenth of a second perhaps), what are we supposed to do?
      Also, are you aware that with some movements, you're you're doing the exercise with one leg twice, and with the other not at all?
      Each time I try to do this, I get more confused.
      Have you watched it yourself, critically? I think you may be surprised how many contradictions there are. Perhaps it would be good if you could get future videos checked before you publish them.

    doing exercises that help tone and heal people (something like that). Lucy, is really delightful 🤗, lovely and you can tell that, she really cares. I have being doing her workouts for some months now and every single one, I enjoy and feel like she is in the room with me. Lucy, has over one million subscribers, everyone just LOVES Lucy🥰. Anyway, that was just a thought of mine, I thought I would share with you because, you kind of give the same feel that you get with Lucy but, the male version. Ok, I am off to do my jaw exercises haha 😂. Seriously, I do them most nights before my bedtime yoga 😴. I do yoga with, 'Boho beautiful' another lovely lady and her husband is also really nice. One of their really good videos that provides a good idea of what they do is, 'yin yoga 'forgiveness'. Night xx now hopefully I will have my own inspiring ideas YIPPEE!😜
