I wouldn't follow this. Please listen to real players who play the style you want to learn instead. The grooves shown in this video are lifeless and inauthentic. The samba in particular is bad-it is not even close to a real samba. Go watch Raphael Burata's lesson on samba, or Edu Ribeiro has a good lesson with Open Studio. Or Gina Knight has a really good intro lesson too.
I'll slightly correct myself-the samba beats are weak but not thaaat bad. At least the second one is mostly acceptable. However, for a new player, it's still really bad. Please go watch real drummers play instead of reading drum patterns from sheet music. Latin music isn't meant to be learned through sheets (they can be helpful resources, but you really need to learn by ear or you'll miss the all-important details)
