So, to turnaround this, I used to hold back my sword _(each time it was drawn, to kill the guard in 1 hit, ridiculously easy btw)_ , fighting with fists vs weapons, which quickly became tiresome, whenever a bunch of guards approach. At least in AC 2D 1 kills guards from a kind of sect. So I play those. 12:09, if that works like the old Vikings game, it'll be great! 12:26, here things can get bad: either game as a service or poorly made free stuff. 12:30, and here it is: "very stereotypical" often means "lack of soul/heart" by the artists.

She had a taste for adventure and archaeology from a young age, but it was the Himalayas that made her finally see that she would have to defy her parents demands in order to live a more fullfilled life. To Lara, those artefacts were hers. She was going to have them and no man or beast was going to stand in the way of that. During her aristocratic upbringing, she was always doing or trying to be what the socialites expected from her. Lara was a strong, independent woman. She always worked alone. She was not lonely. And just because someone chooses life, learning and adventure, doesnt mean she is a lesbian. Why cant we have a fantasy figure? Why she gotta be traumatised or obsessed or have some mental illness? Why cant she be the inspiration she always used to be, just because she can? My wife is a HUGE Tomb Raider fan, she loved the 90s games on PS1, loves the remake made on the PS2 (TR: Anniversary) and even the movies starring Angelina Jolie... She's so heartbroken over the recent news.
Its shame what all these IPs are becoming these days. I dont know if it was on more platforms or just PC but there is Tomb Raider Ultimate Edition, not sure if its still being sold somewhere but i got it for cheap and it includes all 5 original Tomb Raider games, Angel of Darkness, Legend, Anniversary and Underworld. Its one collection to remember what was great about good old days.

The main problem that Crystal Dynamics has with a new Lara Croft game is they have decided that the main foundation block to build the game is Laras identity. They have decided Laras identity FIRST and they are trying to build a game out from that identity. That is simply a dumb place to start and is the reason this game will 100% fail. I remember when 2013 came out so many of the reviews I saw started with some variation of "I was never a Tomb Raider fan but this game is amazing!" I knew then that Tomb Raider was dead and was never coming back. Tomb Raider needs to be taken away from CD and given to someone who actually wants to make Tomb Raider games.
I wasn't staring at Lara's chest the entire time I was playing the 2013 version. However, her chest was certainly above average size, and honestly it didn't matter to me either way. I just enjoyed the game and story. But that was 2013. Who knows what we'll get now...

At this point, I ain't the least bit surprised. They've been trying to bastardize the TR series for some time. Can I just say that I'm glad my favorite series, MGS died when it did outside of Metal Gear Survive? I absolutely refuse to play Survive because there's no Metal Gear in it, no Snake to play as, A generic Zombie survival game with base building, and monetization, micro transactions, and having to pay to create a new save file. They did peak my curiosity of The MGS3 remake. But I'm cautious, partly because they could wokifiy it. But also because their last remake, MGS Twin Snakes wasn't that good. Keep your fingers crossed.

My wife is a HUGE Tomb Raider fan, she loved the 90s games on PS1, loves the remake made on the PS2 (TR: Anniversary) and even the movies starring Angelina Jolie... She's so heartbroken over the recent news.
Its shame what all these IPs are becoming these days. I dont know if it was on more platforms or just PC but there is Tomb Raider Ultimate Edition, not sure if its still being sold somewhere but i got it for cheap and it includes all 5 original Tomb Raider games, Angel of Darkness, Legend, Anniversary and Underworld. Its one collection to remember what was great about good old days.

Crystal Dynamics made the crappy Avengers game (which should have been an easy home run) and lost Square Enix millions. Why is anybody letting them work on anything important?
The main problem that Crystal Dynamics has with a new Lara Croft game is they have decided that the main foundation block to build the game is Laras identity. They have decided Laras identity FIRST and they are trying to build a game out from that identity. That is simply a dumb place to start and is the reason this game will 100% fail.
The correct place to start building Laras next game is simply the world shes going to inhabit.

Agree. Skill trees in Tomb Raider are nonsensical. They made even less sense in the reboot where you had to level her from 0 in each game, even though she had ostensibly developed skills in the previous game.
I will ignore any Tomb Raider release that is not another remaster from Aspyr.

I remember when 2013 came out so many of the reviews I saw started with some variation of "I was never a Tomb Raider fan but this game is amazing!" I knew then that Tomb Raider was dead and was never coming back. Tomb Raider needs to be taken away from CD and given to someone who actually wants to make Tomb Raider games.

I wasn't staring at Lara's chest the entire time I was playing the 2013 version. However, her chest was certainly above average size, and honestly it didn't matter to me either way. I just enjoyed the game and story. But that was 2013. Who knows what we'll get now...
I just hope Crystal Dynamics next game doesn't sell at all. At least I know I'm not buying, I'm happy with my remasters.

At this point, I ain't the least bit surprised. They've been trying to bastardize the TR series for some time. Can I just say that I'm glad my favorite series, MGS died when it did outside of Metal Gear Survive? I absolutely refuse to play Survive because there's no Metal Gear in it, no Snake to play as, A generic Zombie survival game with base building, and monetization, micro transactions, and having to pay to create a new save file. They did peak my curiosity of The MGS3 remake. But I'm cautious, partly because they could wokifiy it. But also because their last remake, MGS Twin Snakes wasn't that good. Keep your fingers crossed.
We need to make sure these remasters sell well. I did my part.

Definitely won’t be buying this game. The developers need to stick with the cannon and source material of the original games. Lara Croft needs to look like LC from the original games and not be dumbed down due to DEI woke agendas. There should be no identity politics in the game etc etc. Gamers need to speak with their wallets and ensure this game is a financial and commercial disaster and that another studio gets closed down.
