I have the same compression tester from Amazon and mine gave the same reading first time I used it. I just kept the smaller adapters from the set to use with my good tester and threw the rest in the trash where it belongs😂
them cheap amazon compression testers are horrible they always say 0 compression or give some very low compression number i had a push mower i was working on for a customer used that cheap exact amazon tester it gave a reading of 25 psi then i grabbed my Snap-On $600 compression tester and i got a reading of over 100 psi . do you have a favorite brand of compression tester?

Most of time on sthil it’s the primer bulb it’s self or fuel line. They get small small crack in them and won’t dry gas up been there many times

You can pull the muffler and see the piston and cylinder for scoring.
