I've had a sneaky Pete holster for my glock 26 for over 10 years. Ridden my Harley 50k miles...in a dozen states...I've worn one with dress clothes (I wear a tie and tucked in dress shirt and work in finance) off an on during those years... I've worn it with shorts.... nice one ever said a thing in my point. Absolutely a comfortable way to carry! I wear a safariland horizontal mag holder on my belt too... simple and no one cares.

I love that you pay attention to " gun free" signs. That is so cute. I thought those were strictly ornamental.

Don’t take your weapon off for a store sign. It’s not law and all that can happen IF they figure out you have one is they ask you to leave. That’s a fact. ✌️

Good video > Thanks for sharing. I normally carry my Ruger LCP Max 380 Front Right pocket - with a small pocket holster that covers the trigger and NOTHING ELSE goes in that pocket > ONLY the Ruger.
but for riding a bike and other activities I might consider a pouch like you talked about.

First, I don't ride a motorcycle, so that's not a concern. But I have done a lot of traveling while wearing a plain leather Sneaky Pete holster for about six or seven years and never had anyone ask what was in it. Actually, I own one holster for a .380 and another one for a 9mm.

I currently use a little tool pouch for an LC9. I don't think the tool pouch has ever raised an eye brow. I fear the Sneaky Pete magnetic flap would open while on my motorcycle. The apple symbol looks like it would invite a pick pocket to grab it (especially secured with a clip).

Great review! I've been looking at Sneaky Pete Holsters for sometime now, first I need to purchase a subcompact to put one in. Sneaky Pete will definitely be the one I purchase. As far as subcompact pistols go, I was considering the Ruger LCP until my gunsmith (Dan) pulled one off his bench that was used as an indoor range rent pistol. What Dan showed me was alarming to say the least. Only after about 1000 rounds the Ruger's slide had pounded the chamber to the point of being nonfunctional. Dan said Ruger has a definite metal hardness issue and advise not to purchase one, hopefully the issue has been resolved and your Rugre is not in that number. So I asked Dan, what pistol would he recommend? Dan pulled another range pistol off his bench, a Smith & Wesson Shield. The Shield had been pulled from the range case for routine cleaning. Dan said the Shied had over 300,000 rounds through it and still going strong, you guessed it, Dan recommended I purchase a Shield.

It's funny you mentioned this (5 years ago). I just came back from the range this afternoon (and on a whim) had rented the LCP Max. Every 3rd or 4th shot, the slide would not fully close/lock shut. You would have to hit the back of the slide for it to fully close battery. I'm thinking it's the same issue you mentioned with this being a high shot count range rental...

People will see what they expect to see. Hiding in plain sight was a good choice. One down side I can see from this holster is someone targeting you because they think you have a $1,000 iPhone on your hip. They grab the pouch and pull it off from behind or they pull a gun on you from behind and ask for the pouch. I'm not saying it's likely but it's possible.

I have a sccy cpx 2 and bought a Boraii holster and as far as I'm concerned, its the only way to carry. I have been carrying my gun in my pocket for a few days now to get used to it and by far it has been the best way to carry. It does not get in the way when I sit in a chair such as my puter chair. and in my auto it feels just fine.

NO, if it explicitly says no fire arms allowed then no fire arms, BUT often the signs can be misleading and will say something like "unless being legally carried concealed" but it will appear in such a small font that you have to really look for it

    • @armedanglican6361
      @armedanglican6361 4 роки тому +3

@@Shelka04 - I will explain: A business owner has the right to post a sign that says "No Firearms Allowed". And I have a right to bear arms. The business owner is choosing to infringe upon my rights. I have the choice to either not do business with him or, if I want to, to go ahead and enter the business - armed and concealed (what he doesn't know won't matter). IN MY STATE, if the owner of a correctly posted (they almost never are) business sees that I am armed he can ask me to leave. That's all. There is no law broken unless I refuse. If I refuse, he can call the police. If I am dumb enough to stick around until they show up, I can be written up for a misdemeanor - for TRESPASSING. And the cop would tell me to leave. If he calls the police before asking me to leave, he has not complied with the law and the cop will educate him and tell me to leave (And I will say "sorry, I didn't see the sign". As I said they are almost never posted in the lawful place).
If we are talking about a Federal building (or some State buildings) it may be a felony to enter while armed. I choose not to go to those places. For instance, I don't go to the Post Office, and if I am called for jury duty, I decline because I believe my Constitutional rights would be infringed by having to disarm.
I have been carrying concealed for a long time. NOBODY has ever noticed. When I first started, I remember being sure that everybody knew!!! They don't.

@@armedanglican6361 What state are you in? We're in New Mexico now, and the law of the land here is pretty much if the law says no guns, (ie court houses, bars, air ports etc.) then ya don't carry there, but everywhere else.... that's just fine. I don't think i've ever seen a civilian posted no guns sign here. They wouldn't be open long if they did. BUT we moved here from Oregon and I carried concealed there too. There were more places there where you couldn't carry concealed, BUT you could carry open. It was one of those insane paradoxes the smack in the face of logic. Thanks for the comments.

Edit. Not a fan of the apple logo unless youre carrying in a no carry zone so as to not be asked if its a gun, they would just assume its an apple phone. at this point it could be a pocket ostomy bag, my point being that regardless of what it is, I've never gotten shit let alone question one about wearing any place i've gone and 2) in this day and ae it's a hell of alot easier to ghost around in society with this on my hip then a blatant open carry. (I suspect those days are over for the sane / normal person). But hey thanks for the look and the comment.

Please do not clear you weapon as is shown in this video. He covers his left hand while racking the slide. Bad technique, especially if you don't want your wife opening your ketchup bottles for the rest of your life. That being said, very good video, good pros and cons. Excellent job sir.

OK so here's the criteria. Be able to access the weapon, whether sitting standing or on a bicycle. Be able to put the weapon on and off numerous times a day in a very public environment (envision a tail gating, or Disney parking lot) although those are not the locations I am expecting, it is representative of the type of prying / un-understanding eyes. SO with that in mind i'm open to suggestions as to what you think would be a better option. Looking forward to your reply

Just carry a bag of the appropriate size. Not a backpack, but a bag. An EDC bag with/without firearm. Your choice.
This is where someone says a bag isn't masculine. Why should women be the only smart gender?
Women carry their stuff in a bag. But personally, I don't give a rats as what someone thinks of me.
I've carried fanny packs, but they were too small for all the stuff I like to EDC.

@@gilbert3152 I can see you are interested in the subject. Started carrying the bag when I lived in the Philippines. It's really hot there, so I went around in gym shorts and t-shirt. No pockets.
Lived in a four bedroom, four bath home. Big. Meaning sneak thieves could sneak in. The only way to make sure your wallet and anything else wasn't stolen was to carry it from room to room. They were so pesky and persistent, I learned to always lock the bedroom door when I slept.
After 13 years of such foolishness, I moved back to the States.
But still use a bag. It's too useful to get rid of.
