Better than a roof top tent? That's a no. You have to pull all your gear out the the bed you are carrying to set up your tent. How long is that going to take to do? Imagine doing that in a rain storm. Anyone else's Jeep clean when out trail riding? So you're setting the tent up in / on mud or anything else that has been spilled or gotten in the bed.
There are drawbacks to both. A rtt will be significantly more costly and heavy, not to mention you have to buy a rack as well. You are more portable in a bed tent. Also you're going to rake out all your gear anyway, primarily water, grill, chairs. The negatives of the cab tent, yes you have to take everything out, however you don't have to take it down to drive around the campsite. Also you don't have a bed cover? That solves that problem, plus you don't want to make a pit stop and have all your gear exposed anyways.
good idea but we campers tend to pack too much in the bed of the truck that would have to be emptied out for the tent setup. For the price, it may be worth a test.
Like what? Real question. Seems like a compact roof storage system would work and keep things more organized. Any camping tables, chairs, cooking, tarps etc would be removed anyway. I’ve only done camping if I’m traveling and want the option of not staying in a hotel if the area is particularly unusual or beautiful. Kept the sleeping bags, lanterns, clothing, air mattresses and solar gear up top. It would be cool if there was a zippered opening in the back of the tent corresponding to a sliding window to the cab of the vehicle
Seems like just a few adjustments would make this even more convenient. Adding a feature to cover that space between the dome and cab would give you access to the back of the cab This would allow you better access to any power source, food, clothing etc. Especially helpful because it kind of looks like there’s room behind that back seat. As for the rear it seems like squaring off ( by ‘squaring I just mean a maybe just a pocket rod that’s a bit higher with the rod arch extending out farther aligning with the truck. This might even be just a zippered extension like many soft sided suitcases and an extra rod like than the natural curvature and longer to the the foot area for taller people and a spot for your outdoor clothes as you come into the tent. I’m not talking about something There are probably a million reasons this can’t be done, but I think they’d make things more convenient connecting to the ground, just an extension changing the circular to a slight oval allowing access to that would still allow you to sit on the tailgate
Sure! It's a universal style fitment, you should be able to install the tent with the tonneau rolled up against the cab, might just sit a bit different than if it wasn't there.

Clearly doesn't fit the gladiator correctly. It's meant for a 5.5' bed.
Need a new jeep but would be happier if Quadratech would do my deceased sons cherokee and ironically I. Live in the hometown of rough country !!!!!
Does the Cherokee have a roof? That’s quite an obstacle for a truck BED tent

U might be carrying to much stuff...idk
A bear will eat you but the red keep will hide the blood so there's no problem selling it .
I feel like it needs another set of bows to keep the door flap off your feet. Especially with the Air Bed.
We'll pass that along to the Lost Canyon product designers!
The only thing I see is that when it does rain. Rain is going to get inside just as soon as you zip the door open. It needs a canopy over the door
Thanks for the suggestion, We'll pass that along to the Lost Canyon product designers!
That was my second thought.

Who cares about that stupid tent the mom should have been arrested too
What brand of running boards on this gladiator ???
The rain fly doesn't cover the front. What's up with that?
That's just the design of this tent.
That's why I'm getting a better design. @@Quadratec

What's your question?
@@Quadratec It's being currently answered on another vid, thank you.
Factory roll up tonneau?
