  • Hello UA-camrs! It is the end of Erg Week and I have filmed the whole thing to show the Yamsquad what an entire week of training looks like for me at the moment. I have been posting snippets of each day on Instagram but this is the full week in one episode with more of my thoughts and feelings surrounding the workouts as well as the workouts themselves! I ended up completing over 200,000m or 200k on the rowing machine plus the cross training and weights sessions so was a pretty full on session! Getting some solid training in and excited for what the season holds.
    If you're looking for any of the weights kit I used in the video head over to mirafit.co.uk and see what they have for you!

      @@giolgoeire392 so close! you'll get it next time. During my race I got 6:48. For me, what helped was drinking tons of orange juice before the race, creating a short playlist of songs that pumped me up / distract me from the pain, warming up like 30 minutes before and staying somewhat warm leading up to the start, but what messed me up was getting 4hrs of sleep before the race.
      I also did like 1-2 months of zone two before the race and days before I stopped weight lifting and doing intense workouts for 3 days. Good luck!

    What are your thoughts on running for zone 2 training vs rowing for zone 2 training? Do you think it can be as effective to run for 1 hour at 130 bpm vs row for 1 hour at 130 bpm? I find it easier for time to pass running at slow pace vs rowing at slow pace.

    • @CameronBuchan
      @CameronBuchan  Рік тому +4

      I think it works quite well! It also depends on the goals. Ultimately you running isn't going to make your rowing better as such so depends how much time you have and how many sessions would be running vs rowing. Generally I will see a higher HR for running than rowing but that can be different for everyone. It is also nice to get off the erg once in a while!
