That pink jacket looks fabulous on you. And I really like the black detailing on the lapels and pockets. The black canvas shoes look better.
This video came at the perfect time. I recently discovered a 1940s pattern for waistcoats, gilets and similar (to wear on their own or over blouses/jumpers) and will be making some to use up the bits of fabric in my fabric collection but they will also mean I can mix and match my skirts getting more outfits from them. You have given me some great ideas (and I don't wear sleeves shorter than 3/4 length).

Definitely the silver tipped heels. The neutral ones work but they don't look as sharp as the metal tips.

I bought a men’s waistcoat in the thrift store for about $5. I wear it in the cooler months open, over a button-up shirt or a turtleneck sweater.Trousers or jeans for a casual look, or with a skirt to keep things a bit more feminine (referencing your recent live stream on creating contrasts). In the fall I hope to take the waistcoat to a tailor to have it fitted to be able to wear it closed, as you have demonstrated today. Thanks for the inspiration!

The flowy dress and waistcoat are wonderful with the red belt! The same ensemble might be nice with dark boots in autumn.

Funnily enough today on a cool day in the UK I was wearing a navy babycord waistcoat over a white long-sleeved tee shirt, a blue/multi coloured scarf and some dangly blue glass earrings with navy linen cropped trousers (I know you dislike those haha)! I felt comfortable and co-ordinated, the waistcoat added a little bit of style to an otherwise unexciting outfit and maybe made a more flattering look too - I also love the look of open waistcoats, it's more casual but also stylish at the same time :)

@@MarieAnneLecoeur I wore my herringbone waistcoat today with a pair of white jeans and white sandals (it's supposed to get up to 106 degrees today!). I felt very polished even in the heat and it was definitely a step up from jeans and a t-shirt. :-)

My personal style skews toward menswear/academia, so I love, love, love a nice vest, whether tailoredor knit. I usually wear them over a turtleneck, blouse, or tailored shirt with a scarf or mens' necktie, paired with straight-leg jeans, tailored trousers, or a trumpet skirt. I cannot wear heels, so I prefer loafers or Oxfords as footwear. I am now inspired to try one with a summery dress 👗 and neutral sandals, paired, of course, with a fabulous pedicure.

When you had the light jeans on I thought for a second that your mic wire was a super cool accessory like a pocket watch chain or something!

As for the White denim and t shirt - I loved it with out the best so it would not cut the waist a more continuous look not cutting the torso - just my humble opinion if it were on my bigger body

I love the black and white. You have great skin for an older lady. I couldn't have bare arms.
I bought a beige linen vest/waistcoat this week and I'm wearing it with lightwash jeans. Or with beige linen trousers. Or with white cotton gauze trousers. Or with khaki shorts. Or with a pair of linen trousers i thrifted with a vertical stripe in cream, beige and peach. I also have a beige and white striped loose linen button-down blouse that looks good under the vest, and still feels cool in our hot Massachusetts weather!
