My favorite songs on the soundtrack are " Carrying The Banner " " King Of New York " " Once and for all " and the sooth melody of " Rooftop " Whenever I go hiking or whenever I am at the beach alone, I always have " Rooftop " playing on my Mp3 player, it's such a relaxing song.
The inspiration for the choreography for Mr. Ortega was none other than Gene Kelly. He was on another set shooting Xanadu. He would stop by rehearsals and give critique. Mr. Ortega mentions he found his input invaluable and was the soul of the film.
I love this version of the song more than the Broadway version because Davey was literally against the strike up until the very end, when he finally starts singing along. He gave in too easily in the Broadway song.
ShawnDude82 I disagree and think that Jeremy Jordan had an even more loud and commanding voice. No hate on Christian Bale, because at first he didn’t even know it was a musical lol, but the only reason his voice might have come out more demanding is because he was half-singing, half-shouting the lines, unlike Jeremy who sang the entire thing.
Jessmuell25 I think Christian Bale brings more of a longing to go to Santa Fe. I feel like it’s like a kid wanting to go somewhere. It feels more raw from Bale’s performance and it fits with the character of Jack Kelley. Also I love Christian Bale

No, I understood you. But I'm simply in disbelief. Aside from the girl who plays Sarah, who I am convinced cannot act for her life, I believed everyone else to fit their roles. They don't need to be A-list actors in order for you to believe them to be what they are portraying on the screen (aside from Robert Duvall, who IS an A-list actor. He totally nailed his role as the neurotic Joseph Pulitzer). For you to say otherwise says something about you, not their acting.
