This is like 100 times better than the original theme. I mean, a song about meeting a girl in a bar? Aha... A song about molecules? It's unique! And then the glucose shows up... geez, I'm shivering! 😂 This is so awesome!
I just wanna dip the fact that this was so mind boggling to watch. Mainly because of how in sync the music was with the theme of the lyrics. It starts simple, the basic melody while explaining equations that will take place in the atomic chemistry later on, the music building up expanding on everything that was prepared for until finally ending off with a harmonious sound that creates a feeling of an expanse space while the lyrics describe how truly massive everything is, how everything that was explained is "all over your body", which felt absolutely radical. It really makes you inspired to learn the bare basics of chemistry to slowly begin understand the tree that it forms above it. It's so strange to see how simple mathematical expressions work in explaining atomic interactions which in turn shows how molecules work and bond- all leading up to just a basic organelle, one of many in a cell, the smallest unit of life. Then you take a look at your body, and realize just how complex everything truly is and see how far as a civilization we have advanced. I just wanted to dip my thoughts k bye
Honestly, i'm really impressed by how much information he manages to pack into these songs. Like... going from molecular orbitals and quantum mechanics to polymers? That's a feat right there.
It's a pity. The song sucks so hard that I had to stop the video after 4 seconds. God damn the music industry and the robots raised to it who clone the same shitty song over and over again.
If I do well on my test Wednesday it'll be because this song has mnemonics for the past three weeks of lectures embedded within it. If I do poorly it'll be because I was watching this video repeatedly at 1am instead of studying. **UPDATE** I got an A!!!

I got shown this in my university chemistry class and I cannot _tell_ you how much I absolutely loved it. I was grinning like an idiot the whole time! And somehow, every single verse just gets better and better and hohohoo, seeing all these things I had learned over the years sung in such perfect lyrics was like a religious experience. This song is incredible.
Not only is this such a perfect parody, it actually helped me understand a few things about chemistry i didn't fully understand. Thanks for making this absolute legend!

Found via reddit front page, blown away at the execution... accurate information, useful diagrams, informationally dense, and a close sweet sounding parody to my ear (not awkwardly forced without an understanding of the underlying music, or poorly sung even if composed correctly). Totally impressed and instant subscriber. Can't wait to listen to more!
Man the la-da-la-da-la-das before that are my second favorite part of this song, that and that soft clap works really well. But my favorite is just "come bond with me baby."

@Chuck Bartowski this is not about IQ. A person with avarage IQ can find this very much simplified, if he learned it. And a the most inteligent person could find this interesting, if he didn't learn about this.
This was just spectacular. Not only u did very well with the cover, the singing and the acapella part, but u also developed completely new (and also very intelligent) lyrics for the song, and not forgetting the stunning animation work (I'm an animation lover btw). To be fair, a lot of the earlier jokes are less chemistry and more quantum mechanics (like the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, up and down spin electrons that are quantum entangled, and dirac's equation)
Dude, a lot of what's in here is, like, high school basic chemistry. Inorganic chemistry, Nucleic Acids, polymers, and that type of stuff. If you don't get that, i'm sorry, but that's a little hypocritical.
Very little in the video is about high school chemistry. It's about bonding theory. The education system works in a way that first you are taught basic generalizations and consequences of the higher level stuff and then made to understand it on an increasingly deeper level. Saying that you understand nucleic acids and polymers "and that type of stuff" under a video about quantum chemistry is like saying you know everything about hydrodynamics because you can swim.

This is like 100 times better than the original theme. I mean, a song about meeting a girl in a bar? Aha...
A song about molecules? It's unique! And then the glucose shows up... geez, I'm shivering! 😂 This is so awesome!
And then it becomes Glycogen.
Everytime I hear the original song playing now, I wish it had these lyrics...
you sound like a redditor
Very well thought out and comprehensive comment. You really understand what Tim is saying in this.
Honestly, i'm really impressed by how much information he manages to pack into these songs. Like... going from molecular orbitals and quantum mechanics to polymers? That's a feat right there.
Including DNA and proteins!
I realize, those are polymers, but it's worth mentioning that he's truly singing about the shape of your body! XD
Thus bringing the lyrics around to echo the original song. This is a work of genius.
Science and music? I'm sold.
You're such a nerd. Loved it

It's a pity. The song sucks so hard that I had to stop the video after 4 seconds. God damn the music industry and the robots raised to it who clone the same shitty song over and over again.

I don't comment often, but I just have to say that this is absolutely phenomenal. Apart from the amazing background music, the lyrics were so perfectly fine-chosen to fit the original song melody. Yeah, that's what I tought. Pretty complex stuff.
@Chuck Bartowski this is not about IQ. A person with avarage IQ can find this very much simplified, if he learned it. And a the most inteligent person could find this interesting, if he didn't learn about this.
@Chuck Bartowski but more importantly, an inteligent man wouldn't feel the need to show off how he sees everything oversimplified around him.

Flippy Sidee chemistry is Quantum Mechanics
