Ouray, Colorado and the Owl Creek Pass

This is the third and final installment of the journey I took with my mom from CA to CO in October 2022. She was a real trooper and held up well on the 4100 mile journey through seven states. Although we kept a torrid traveling pace of approximately 500 miles a day, she never napped in the passenger seat. I think it was because she enjoyed being back on the road again after at least the last 10 years before dad passed. I’m fact, one reason for the journey was to return dad to CO where he found a home he never wanted to leave. We found a campsite on top of Owl Creek Pass and scattered his ashes.
