TWO GEEZERS, A SOLDIER, AND A DOG: Hiking the Perimeter Trail, Ouray Colorado and Cascade Falls

The Perimeter Trail in Ouray Colorado is an adventure for sure. It includes narrow trails along cliff faces, Cascade falls after a steep climb and a path behind the falls, and tons of smaller water falls as you make your way around the town of Ouray. The trail tops out at an elevation of 8500 feet, right after one of the most beautiful spots covered in Aspens. There is also a huge Box Canyon with falls and a tunnel. The town of Ouray is also delightful with excellent restaurants, historic buildings, and beautiful flowers. This was a new area for our group although we have all hiked a lot in Colorado -- it did not disappoint.
