There is no single greatest country in the world. There never was and never will be. Every country always had, has and will have its own unique flaws and qualities, ups and downs, pros and cons. All of them unique and not comparable. You can't say that one country has the least flaws and is therefore the best - It may have less in quantity, but more in severity. There is no way to measure the single greatest country in the world, and that's the way it will always be.

That’s partially because today the Republican Party has ditched any remaining diplomatic nuance for power driven populism. Trump is not the root cause but he certainly made things go from bad to worse. A president that tweets like he did during his term is simply not going to calm hints down. And on the other hand, social media made echo chambers go from bad to worse too.

There is no way to measure the single greatest country in the world, and that's the way it will always be.
There will always be greatest country, but not any flawless. (i would say it's finland).
