I have the Torp tc 500, on a 2022 stock Ron, with moto tires and 42t sprocket. My field weakening is 44. I average 34 miles per ride, top speed I've hit is 56mph & i have 5100 miles on it. Still runs great.✌🏾💜
have you tried regenerative breaking with the break levers? i get quite a lot back from it i dont have any data currently but im gonna take a look how much power i get back from it.
In Eco i do ride with a bit of regen on the levers but for wheelies in daily or sport mode i prefer no regen at all for better back brake control! 💯🔋⚡️
Did the battery ever gave you warning about overheating when you had the stock motor or is it just after getting the aftermarket motor replacement for it? Because my friend did told me the surron do overheat and do blow up sometimes because your seating top of the battery. I am not sure about that much about my surron things.
The battery over temperature warning on the display is the warning of the battery getting hot before it gets to a dangerous level and eventually cuts the whole bike out. When the warning appears that the battery is near the temperature limit it will decrease the power of the bike to potentially stop it properly over heating. I’ve never over heated a motor before but when riding 72V batteries with a stock motor it definitely can happen. The motors are more likely to melt than blow up but there is a potential the stock motors can go with a bang if the magnets inside come loose. This would be a very, very rare occurrence though and i’m yet to see anyone have this problem!
It’s sometimes can happen probably to do with voltage or some other issue. Not every battery and motor controller can handle the power and voltages so best thing is to know more research more about it.
I’m using some cheap Chinese tyres that come on the milk racing wheels. I recommend the dunlop mx33 tyres for the stock surron wheels. They’ll perform just fine💯🔋⚡️

Is that with a Torp controller running at 8.6kw? Is that riding as fast as possible?? Also you have to bare in mind the other changes i listed like the motor and wheels that have added weight. The torp motor is capable of higher RPM than the stock motor so that would also make a difference in range as it will use more battery to reach the higher RPM. I’m not saying you’re wrong but even stock my bike never did 60 miles on a full charge. Maybe if i stayed in eco and stayed at slow speeds but thats no fun🤷🏻♂️😁🔋⚡️
got my torp a couple of weeks ago mte after watching ur vdeos went for it i wantedthe motor and 72v battery aswell i just decided go big but the motor was out of stock whichgave me a little time to really think about spending the best part of 4k so i hit the brakes and just ended up with the tc500 for now im happy and and s is my bank account.well not really cos i then went and bought for a small graphic design busness but at least thatll give me a return hopefully,m thinking of doing suuron graphics but if u need any custom vinyl stickers or custom printed merch for ur brand hit me up ill send u samples iv sunk a lot of money in to the equipment so will be quality stuff anyhow top vid as per mate

What size sproket you running? I top out at 48mph with the tc500 and I'm running 42t sprocket and supermotos. I'm 99kgs though lol
yea heavy riders got much less torque and speed
I’m on a 54t sprocket so it is geared for more torque and less top speed. Field weakening is what will make a difference on the top speed mainly. 🔋⚡️
