"1.9 threads are a slightly easier way to level your buildings". I just took an Arc from level 54 to 55 and I only paid 80 FP out of my own pocket (I saved 2795 FP or 97%). I think that is a little bit better than "slightly".
1.9 Is just the best hands down. Doing swaps is just brutal unless your leveling the new Titan GB's and you'd rather swap to get a profit over time. As with 1.9 you never profit, just spend.
1.9 threads are amazing, they helped my progress so much: BPs, medals for expansions, a way lower price to level GB. My first GB I am working on is Arc, it is going to be 2 months soon, currently level 55.
Whilst I don’t fully agree with all that you have said, your video inspired me to shake up my city, which gained me space that I didn’t know was there, and I thought I was good with roads. I also kicked 30 high ranking players off my friends list to boost my food pool, which has already earned points. So thank you sir!
While it definitely the fastest way, it does not add fp to your bankroll like sniping or strategic swapping will. All you will ever do in a 1.9 thread is break even and burn your own for doing so. I use 1.9 thrwads but only once I reach the sweet spot on a building and choose to sacrifice my own do for power leveling. If you really want to bank fp though then the 1.9 doesn't help.
@@frugephoto2191 For building your FP bank, sniping is your best bet. And 1.9 does help in building you FP bank if you have the arc over level 80. I agree that the returns are probably not worth the investment. And my comment was regarding levelling a GB, not making FP profits.
Disagree about avoiding the 1.9 threads. The guideline is that for GBs under L10, use guild swap threads (easy, doesn't matter much). For GBs from L10 to L20, try to do most of it with a dedicated swap partner or two, ideally where you can arrange for one of them to donate more (50fp/day some of the time, 100/day some of the time) as needed. For GBs of Level 20+, you definitely want to use 1.9x threads, at least for the first two places (and your swap partners can help you with the lower reward places). The rest is all SOLID advice, recommended. More tips that you missed out: when starting out in the game, try to focus on completing special events, to get a max level main event building. The most recent event buildings are FANTASTIC for new players, and will really help you get a lot more attack boosts, goods, and forge points etc. Secondly - don't rush the technology tree. Hang around in lower eras (or advance slowly) for a while until you have got your Arc to L80 and your attack boost to 300%+. The game increases in difficulty with each era - defending units can have higher attack boosts, quests require more goods/supplies/coins etc. If you are trying to advance into the Modern era with Iron Age buildings, you are just asking for a hard time.
I still only have an 18 Arc but I try to post all my GBs on 1.9 threads. I'm with a diamond guild and the spots get taken very quickly. Without 1.9 threads, I'd really be struggling to level my buildings.
There are tricks to get less roads in the city. First there is no need to have all the roads connected. You can make two different branches from the city hall. Then you should put a great building on one side and make the roand ending straight ahead in it, whith smaller buildings on each side. Every building that is not square should have the road on the shorter end, or have the street ending on any side if it's one of the biggest ones.
Going 1.9 costs the owner a fraction as much to level. Its definitely the way to go. Snipe your neighbors and do swaps for lower level buildings for prints and FPs but go 1.9 once your GBs hit Level 15 or so.
In swap threads I would often add more to the gbs to snipe them sometimes even under 1.9 then basically level my gbs for free. I would even have people at 1.9snipe those players. I had arc at level 140+ and alcatraz at 120 in just 3 months from a complete beginner, I basically profited off the main resource in this game: other players, but i don't play the game anymore because I need time to study, at the time i saved 100K + fps. and had over 80million points
Absolutely correct to focus on getting Arc at the exclusion of everything else. Arc 80 I suggest is the level to aim for. Find a guild which has plenty of existing Arc 80 members. The one I belong to takes Arc positions at very small profit to help members get to 80
Good video, but one small comment: leveling any Great Building past the basic level *requires* 180/190 contributors. It is impossible, for example, to self-level an Arc to 80. Swap threads and swap partners are essentially only useful for print hunting. As for the profits made; this is really only for those with arcs past level 80. I have a level 80 arc and I give 190 to my guildies which means I net no profit other than medals and prints. Also, those who take their arc into level 90 or 100 or even above kind of deserve the profit for the almost imaginable investment they have put into it. Anyway, a level 80 arc requires 189,000 fps. No way you'll self level that, swap partners or not. Also, case in point, consider an arc in the sweet spot. Going to level 51 for the arc requires 2670 fps, only 32 of which needs to be provided by the owner if you get 190 contributors! That leaves 2638 given to you free. No way you're going to get nowhere near that profit margin on swaps. Bottom line: 190 contributors is the best way to level any GB, no contest.
@@dreadfulcadillacs2627 I used to think swap threads were great as well, better than 1.9x. But if you make the calculations, it's actually the other way around. Unless you consistently manage to snipe your guildies via swap threads (which has its own ramifications, when people catch on), 1.9x is better in every aspect. Made me chuckle, when the dude started the video criticizing some other resources out there with crappy or downright false information and now does it himself.
Erkki146 I know that, that’s why I’m saying this comment is so true. Being a self leveler is bad, but Doing 1.9 is completely different, and it’s amazing.
well you are talking to somone who has a level 80 arc and never got a 1.8 or 1.9 trade on his arc. i went from level 30 to level 70 in 26 days. my income was around 100FPs daily and i spent around 400mil in coin plus the 2000FPs i had banked. at level 38 i only had blueprints to open one more level. i gave my guildies the profits on my arc they put just enough to lock the positions and no extra. im sorry but if i was self leveling i would have to spend forge points elsewhere on arcs. your math does not consider those facts. i used trade threads and straight trades ( i traded 3rd positions with another guildie at the same arc level moving at the same speed as i was) those trades gave me just enough BPs to keep ahead til i got into the 50s at which point the BPs flowed in quicker than i needed them. i will make a video soon on how to manage FPs using my guilds main system. it is much different than others that i have heard of. and i feel it is better for the economy of the entire guild.
@@foetipsfromatozed4233 your sooooo bad at this game, what's the problem with taking 5ths on arcs in 1.9s you just sound really salty and probably wasnt allowed in the 1.9 because your a bot
My ARC is at 106. Being retired I can play most anytime being about six hours per day at four times per day. The Guild I am in is ranked at 32. About up to 10 players seem to live in the guild, unless they have something keeping them from place of living it seems they are playing the game. Thanks for the video.
Dark Doorways are indeed compelling options for FP income, but now there are many ways to get FP's. Cultural settlements are a great way. Ancient Egypt which is a recent settlement has a timed reward where if you complete the settlement in a certain amount of time, you can get an ancient obelisk which is the same 2x2 size as a shrine of knowledge, but instead of 1 FP, you get 2 FP's and 4 random goods when motivated. On top of that there's a 6 percent defense bonus for your attacking armies which will help if you battle for points. I try to find something that is an upgrade but hopefully doesn't take a lot of space.
@@literallypatrickbatemen Ancient Obelisk gives fps, random goods, 6% attacking defense bonus and gold in 2X2. The Egyptian Bathhouse is what gives units, fps and goods.
1.9 threads are far more effective than fp swaps. You may spend some extra fp, but you will be able to level all your buildings much faster. Most of the top guilds don't even have fp swap threads anymore. Plus, the higher level buildings take thousands of fp. Which often takes multiple people donating, so if you aren't the top person to donating to a gb, you will lose fp all the time.
Little example, Random Gb, my share 130fp, 1,9 help 3200. I can make 3-4 lvls a day. Swaps are good for the big ones who take advantage of smaller players. I do swap up to lvl 25 since i do get back more then i invest or little minus but its like stealing from your smaller guildmates.
How do you gain army units without building military buildings with each world progression? I’m trying to fight more but never seem to have strong enough units or enough units to keep fighting. Plus the military buildings take up a lot of space.
Thanks. I know the arc is king. What I dont know is what other gbs are critical for growth. Discuss & explain power levelling gas. When should we change guilds? My arc is lvl 40 and I am in ham era. When should I age up? What are the issues to consider for each issue. Kiwi Anzac
19:10 "Which is why I have so much in my back account". Bro has 18K FPs in virtual age losing points in trades, instead of having arc 100 and making off people in 1.9 threads. Yeah. Found this video randomly in 2023 :D
I guess that’s why it took you so long to grind for the arc. I do at a minimum 1 level a day, sometimes 2 or 3. I look for the most effective way to level, the fact they may make a profit is irrelevant. You can pot on 100 trade threads all day and not lock a spot and loose your investment, why would anyone want to do that?
There has been changes and additions to the game since this video was made. I have some disagreement with some of his strategies and information. So here they are. I spend hours planning. Round robbin donating 100FP can be sniped (position taken away from an intended player) and there is a waste of FPs at the end. If you do not SEED (prime) your GB no one will donate to it unless you are in a round robbin thread. A 1.9 GB leveling thread is designed to get your GBs LEVELED. 1.9 mean players have an ARC that is at least level 81 which will give you 1.9 times the basic reward of P1 (1st position on a GB) You can still be in this group but you should be leveling your ARC as a priority. Sure, the contributors are making a profit off you, that is their reward for helping you. You are getting your GB leveled so it will serve you better and there is no better way to do this. it all falls down to how you SEED your GBs so they can be ready for contributions and that is done by banking FPs. Also doing quests and making special materials will give you points. A high guild will give you a boost from the guild's Castle and other boosts. BUT if you are always in a good guild you will never have your own guild if that is important to you. An ARC to at least level to 81 is a great help but having a good balance of some of the other GBs that will help you is good. The biggest draw back in this game is the lack of land expansions and the game tends to be very slow, to slow for some players. My comment covers a lot so many parts can take a lot more explaining and there are a lot of debates over what to do in the game, that is why I spend a lot of time on the game.
Buying diamonds to start progression clearly👌 Hate people bragging about towns when clearly used bought diamonds. Can tell by the Town. Plus the game is a hell of alot more easier than was at the beginning, used to take ages to motivate or Polish going in each friend town at a time.
i have not bought many diamonds. and the diamonds i did buy went to expansions. i am not against the purchase of diamonds. FoE has made a great game and deserve to make some income off of the game. personally i am just cheap, lol. if there is a way to progress in a game without spending real money i will.
I don't disagree on the game providers getting money from players for creating this game. All your event buildings are from use of diamonds and that's a key point to let player's know that simply playing from the beginning without using diamonds and without big help from fellow player's it will take everyone a Long long time to progress.
MOST of my event buildings i get without diamonds. i use diamonds for expansions and to speed up the settlements. i have only actually bought diamonds 3 times. 2x for $20 when i first started and once when they had an amazing deal and i needed a bunch for expansions for $79 about 4 months ago. almost all of those went for the expansions i got when i moved to VF. events are geared so you can get the buildings if are diligent in doing the quests and managing the side game well.
@@foetipsfromatozed4233 It's the rows of zen buildings and elephant fountains. Yes win from side quests, but I've always done side quests. Nothing wrong spending money on diamonds to get a Head start, but should mention that to viewers that without diamonds it'll be a very long progression👍
@@stevep1685 Totally agree, every video is the same, someone who obviously spent a fair amount of cash to get big...then downplays that fact to the viewers in a way that glosses over the "how to" of how one gets off the ground to say, acquire an Arc and level it to 80 while building a city without spending a bunch of money on diamonds
Which GB should I get while levelling Arc or should I just focuse solely on the Arc until I get it to level 70? Edit: Also are there anything I need to know while levelling my Arc?
Focus solely on your Arc until level 80. However it is good to have something like a Zeus, Temple of Relics, etc to put points on if you ever get stuck for prints, but otherwise focus on the Arc. Once you have a powerful Arc, the entire game changes.
Hi there Zed,i have a big problem with fighting in EMA,just because still cant get rogue hideout. Now must play with 7 barracks to do more then 10 fights per day,but this cost to me much space. I play every daily quest for this rogue hideout,i try everything to get it,but still cant. What you suggest to do ? I have Coa,Aachen and Zeus on lvl 10 and now invest only in my arc,but still give many victims in GbG after 10 fights daily.
My advice is to hang in there. work your Arc. you will want an Alcatraz so the need for barracks goes way down. you will only need one barrack and a hideout or 2 and you will get unattached troops to fight with. until then just do what fights you can.
Thanks buddy for this video! I am a newbie in the High Middle Ages and I think I REALLY need your help. I have decided to NOT spend any real $$. Maybe its more challenging that way, but I spend enough dollars on other games so I dont want have to spend any here with FOE. My questions are-You said to get an "Arc"-How can I get one at this point in the game? Second question-Is there a way to join a particular guild? I think I found someone who understands some of the concepts you mention here... Thanks in advance for your answers!
I hope you got an answer to your question on how to get an ARC by now but if you did not here is what I did to get an ARC before I got the that city level in fact I got several GB way before. All you have to do is go to your friend list and find ARCs that are actively being leveled and try to get the number 1 position to get the most. The when you have all your ARC Blue Print slots filled go to some high level players on the leader board and ask where you can BUY the goods for an ARC. The normal fee is 1 FP = 3 goods but it may be more because the demand for ARC goods is a priority. Some players take advantage of novice players so just ask for the 1:3 and also what trade good to use and what ratio, 1:1 or can you do 1:2. The transaction goes like this for a 1 FP = 3 goods and trade for all 5 ARC goods. (350, 450, 300, 400, 375 ARC goods) at 1:1 of HMA goods (you lose what ever city level goods you choose to use) 1st you would donate your FPs, 350 / 3 = 117FPs to the GB that the sell wants you to donate to. 2nd next you make a trade 1:1 of your goods for the amount you need of ARC goods (350 HMA for 350 ARC goods). Once that deal is complete move on to 450, then 300, then 400, then 375. or if you trust the seller do them all at once. Remember you need all the goods to trade that you and the seller agree on. So once you have all the blue prints and all the goods you are good to put the ARC into you city and start leveling right away to level 81.
I have a question but i am not sure if you read it. How is your name in foe? I do not found it on forgedb and i want to see your city after all, how is your progress then in this video, you know what i mean? Best regards!
What's not so great is how the most profitable snipes require 1k plus putting down! The donation of level 80 goods in AF is 26k, OF is 29k, and VF is 33k! But I always miss high profits as when I find them I never have enough, but leveling partners aren't worth it! I just prime my GBs to lock 1 and 2 then the rest for locking 3, and 4 and 5! I did leveling partner and FPS to 10 and it took me 4 months to reach 10 then I just used 1.9 and got to 80 in 3 months! Also on the fighting buildings I think that getting the additional 30% on Z And Aachen with having to spend 59 levels of FP just isn't worth it until I've gotten the rest up, as I get my defense and attack up by event buildings and Decor that helps I have a level 7 Z and 6 Aachen and attack is 532 defense is 312! But ARC is def the most profitable GB! It just is a lot to go through all the hood checking each GB!

I have noticed that advice for how to best play this game varies greatly among players. There is some very good information here. However, I'm amazed that this player is in VF with an Arc at level 70. Not the best way to play IMO. Perhaps that's why I abandoned my game and started from scratch again in another world after making a million poor decisions So, I'm not bashing this guy, just offering other suggestions. The most common mistake I see is that players tend to move to the next era too soon. In my 2nd try, I found a great guild and stayed in Iron Age until I had an 80 level Arc and other carefully chosen Great Buildings above level 10. Therefore, my top 5 suggestions for a very successful game: 1. Join a good guild. 2 Get and Arc as soon as possible and raise it to 80 or higher. Also, while working to get the prints and goods for the Arc and raising it to 80 or even higher, make sure to get the basic GB's for military boost (Zeus, Cathedral of Aachen and Castel Del Monte). As mentioned in the video, fighting is very important for progress in this game so a high attack/defense boost is needed for successful fighting. Get as much boost as possible while raising your Arc to 80 or higher. 3. Don't move to the next era until you can fight well with few losses. When you can finish 64 encounters of GE with not much trouble and you are a prominent player in your "hood", then it is time to consider a move forward. 4. Get a Traz(Alcatraz) and learn how to use it but don't waste time on a lot of pretty GB's that will take up a lot of space but offer not much help. You can always build them later. Raise the ones you have to a high level, especially the ones that offer military boost and/or FP's 5. Ask lots of questions and do lots of research. There are many secrets to this game. Look for better ways to accomplish your goals. The game is designed to make you think but also it will trick you if you just blindly follow the questline and not plan ahead. So, play smart, not like most everyone else. Did you notice I mentioned getting the Arc to 80 or higher" several times? That's because it's a really big deal. Military power and a high Arc are the 2 best ways to "win" in this game.
Do you have tips on how to get an ark? I just started the game and seems near impossible to get the prints for it. Every person with an ark has all the spots that reward prints taken. Often with a lot of fp even in the 5th spot. The advice to get an ark is great, I see the benefit but how do new players get all the prints

Pros of 1.9 thread: 1. Guaranteed 50% of your FPs to turn into packs for all 5 members 2. Cheap for owner to level up building 3. Guild elders get extra medals and BPs for free (w/arc lvl 80) Cons 1. Owner must save up enough FP to level up bldg 2. Snipers from lvl30 to 60
Swap Threads Pros 1. All members of the guild can participate 2. Collect and dump FP to other buildings easily. 3. Exchange of rewards for players instead of donate to self Cons: 1. No dedicated 5 members that's why bottom donators will have 0 REWARDS (even though they invested 50s, 80s, or hundreds of FPs) if there are more than 5 donators ln that building 2. Easily sniped 3. No room for owner participation/donation (leading to #1 con) Conclusion 1. I prefer 1.9 than swap threads at least there is a GUARANTEE of 50% of my FPs to turn into packs than swap threads and easier to level up

There are plenty of good FoE channels on UA-cam. FoElite, FoEhints, Mooingcat, Lilliana the Magnicicent... Global ranking points are meaningless. You can have all of the great buildings at level 1 and have lots of rank points, but you're doing it wrong.
OK not bad but! Some of your advice is wrong. Specifically raising GB's. You promote swops, with friends or through Guild threads. You denounce 1.9 along with 1.8. I agree 1.8 is abusive. 1.9 not so although when someone has an Arc above 120 they could be considered to be profiteering.
What's wrong with profiteering though? If a player spent the 60 or 70k FPs required to take their Arc from 80 to 120 then they deserve the little profit. In actual fact those people tend to move on to 1.93 or 1.95 threads reducing their profits and helping others grow faster. Nothing wrong with that.
@@frugephoto2191 1,9 can be quite profitable if used with a high cf. You will mainly get goods/supply and coins but you can also get fp. So no 1,9 can definitely be quite profitable.
I agree 1.9 is the best
I still only have an 18 Arc but I try to post all my GBs on 1.9 threads. I'm with a diamond guild and the spots get taken very quickly. Without 1.9 threads, I'd really be struggling to level my buildings.
There are tricks to get less roads in the city. First there is no need to have all the roads connected. You can make two different branches from the city hall. Then you should put a great building on one side and make the roand ending straight ahead in it, whith smaller buildings on each side. Every building that is not square should have the road on the shorter end, or have the street ending on any side if it's one of the biggest ones.
1.9 threads over trades all day everyday
Truth!
Managed to get Arc lvl 80 within 2 months using 1.9 threads. 1.9 is the optimal strategy.
The ancient obelisk gives units and such, i think you mean the ancient rune from the viking settlement
@@literallypatrickbatemen Ancient Obelisk gives fps, random goods, 6% attacking defense bonus and gold in 2X2. The Egyptian Bathhouse is what gives units, fps and goods.
@@chucklindenberg1093 oh thx, I've just been doing the viking settlement amd thats it so far
Yeah, I don't know why someone his size will have such a bad take.

19:10 "Which is why I have so much in my back account". Bro has 18K FPs in virtual age losing points in trades, instead of having arc 100 and making off people in 1.9 threads. Yeah. Found this video randomly in 2023 :D
As many have said.. 1.9 is one of the best way to level your GBs
I prefer 1.8
Buying diamonds to start progression clearly👌
Hate people bragging about towns when clearly used bought diamonds.
@@foetipsfromatozed4233
It's the rows of zen buildings and elephant fountains.
Once you have a powerful Arc, the entire game changes.
why have two rogue dens and when one is enough plus you dont need it to be connected by road
My problem is to have enough population. It's like I have to build 40 houses, which takes up space.

Fair length for this video would be 10 minutes.
What great builds are best in order plz. You get some GBs too early some too late
Good info! I’ve been playing for 2yrs now and your video taught me a few things thanks !

Did all of your investing take to the amounts of diamonds. That alone seems to be a greatest help?
(350, 450, 300, 400, 375 ARC goods) at 1:1 of HMA goods (you lose what ever city level goods you choose to use)
1st you would donate your FPs, 350 / 3 = 117FPs to the GB that the sell wants you to donate to.
Thanks a lot!!!
I have a question but i am not sure if you read it. How is your name in foe? I do not found it on forgedb and i want to see your city after all, how is your progress then in this video, you know what i mean?
Best regards!
let just say we compare this two AO or Cape which is better cheaper to invest which one gives u more points and profit in bigger picture thanks
AO
Do Cape 1st. Takes up less space and is much cheaper than AO. Once CC is to 65 then u build AO.

Pros of 1.9 thread:
1. Guaranteed 50% of your FPs to turn into packs for all 5 members
2. Cheap for owner to level up building
3. Guild elders get extra medals and BPs for free (w/arc lvl 80)
Cons
1. Owner must save up enough FP to level up bldg
2. Snipers from lvl30 to 60
Swap Threads Pros
1. All members of the guild can participate
2. Collect and dump FP to other buildings easily.
3. Exchange of rewards for players instead of donate to self
Cons:
1. No dedicated 5 members that's why bottom donators will have 0 REWARDS (even though they invested 50s, 80s, or hundreds of FPs) if there are more than 5 donators ln that building
2. Easily sniped
3. No room for owner participation/donation (leading to #1 con)
Conclusion
1. I prefer 1.9 than swap threads at least there is a GUARANTEE of 50% of my FPs to turn into packs than swap threads and easier to level up
There is no profit in the 1.9 thread unless your Arc is over level 80. At 80 you break even.
