Ah so glad to see someone else loving this tablet! Been using the 15.6pro for over a year now. I’ve used Wacom before but this tablet in my opinion is far better, best part being the pen nib doesn’t wear down anywhere near as fast. Scroll wheel works fine for me, so it might be another tablet driver interfering with your software.
@@alex_5199 The drivers were constantly bugging out, and the pen nibs wore out so fast that I had to put a sheet of acetone over the tablet to slow it down. For the price point, they make things that feel flimsy and made to break.

It’s probably my biggest pet peeve with XPPEN, but I’ve been able to deal with it because of the rest of the pros of the tablet.
This is the exact same tablet I bought for my ex-gf 2 years ago to give her an upgrade to a screen tablet - after hours and hours of research. im using this tablet since april for graphic design and im really happy. The price was great, the performance is really good (need some color correction/calibration for high end retouch) my biggest problem is serious scratches in the screen. I know you can buy screen protectors but they are not aviable in my country, are impossible to find, and there is no official suport in here.

I have an Xp-pen tablet without a screen and the bouciness of the tip is not in your head lol. It's because it has a spring inside so that's what makes it move as you press more. Xp-pen has a new stylus for their Xp-pen artist 2nd gen tablets that is thinner and doesn't have a bouncy tip. Personally it doesn't bother me, Im used to drawing with ballpoint pens and it reminds me of that but some people don't like it.

I use the 22E pro and love it due to its VESA Mount. Bought the cheapest Mount for under $30 on Amazon and it works great. I couldn’t go back to a smaller tablet not because of the size, but due to the lack of vesa mounting. I can position the tablet at an angle above my mouse when I’m using it and like a normal display when I’m not drawing. My mom was looking for something to modify images into coloring pages for her class so I recommend the 15.6 artist pro for her to use. After using it myself, my favorite feature is definitely the wheel for changing brush sizes. It’s a feature I wish my 22E pro had. I personally don’t use the other shortcut buttons as I like my keyboard shortcuts, but adjusting brush sizes or zoom just feels better on a wheel then spamming a key. Though the Huion Remote is a great stand-in for this feature for a crazy cheap $20 (good macro pads are hard to find for under $50)
books can be stacked under the stand to increase the height. I burnt out 5 nibs in a year. the matt cover has scratches now but still usable. Xp products are nice, affordable and one of the top best.
Thanks for this. The shortcut buttons have sold me on the XP over the Wacom. I'm always surprised to see a female artist drawing Escher girls (I never fully recovered from breaking my back, so this particular Escher is extremely hard for me to look at).
For traditional artist or people who used to draw freely with clean lines on "clean" background 15 inch etched display is super small and very "dirty". Even 24 inch 4k is a bit small, 27 inch 4k would be perfect, but most of "top" tablets got bad etched glass, even wacom.. Very bad. Some people dont see much, but holy cow its bad. I pad looks perfect, but its good for portability and not a tabletop thing mostly. Any way so costly for wired monitor with that quality.. I hardly understand people, but happy to see people use it and happy.
without even planning it, but because it happened, i ended up buying this model, and it's partially thanks to your review! thanks for showing this to me :) i'm loving it
I picked up an XPPEN Artist Pro 24 a couple of years back, I had so much trouble setting it up on a Mac. The guidance on how to do it wasn't great, ended up following a bunch of videos to get it sroted. another issue I had was my settings getting wiped randomly, or the penactuating at a different point to where I was drawing, a lot of troubleshooting went into resolving everything. That all being said, they did release some new software that made it better, but my feelings were already coloured by my experience so I'll stick with Wacom next time.
Damn, I'm in between this tablet and the 24 artist pro... I only ever used a Wacom Intuos (old ones) and the prices are sending me lol... but ugh, the huge screen vs something I can carry places... ahh... I can't decide 😭
I had the Wacom 16inch Cintiq. And there was definitely less latency and space between the pen and the screen digitizer. Sold it and went back to a Intruos tablet with no screen.

My 11 year old nephew asked for a digital drawing tablet for Christmas. Does this tablet work like an iPad or does it have to be connected to a computer to work?
Not having the eraser on the bottom end of the pen is a pretty big downside to me, im constantly twirling the pen from pen to eraser, I think I would find it really hard to kick that habit, cool to see what xp pen has to offer tho
@@cleanclouds Not rich, I bought my original drawing tablet second hand in an auction and used it for 8 years even though it was broken, I just spent so long on this old tablet that I didn't realise that all the newer tablets don't have the eraser feature. Feature rich as they are, unfortunately these Xp Pen and Huion "Screen Tablets" simply do not last. The failure rate compared to cintiq is atrocious. Lines in screen, ribbon cable fails, no screen, etc. And worse yet, it seems to happen after the warranty ends. ): Hopefully this changes, but until it does, I cannot recommend them. I know so many that went back to their cintiqs, ones who could afford them anyway. ): The non-screen based line is fine though. For screens I recommend cintiq , ipad pro, or samsung Galaxy Tab S line. If you really feel you must buy a kamvas or artist, get a 4 year protection warranty!
No idea how many time NIPS will need to say why it's that way. Maybe look into their other videos, otherwise you are fine just putting lol 2 times in a sentence.
Try to look for a used one. Or get an affordable one without a screen. They are not that bad and they are better for good posture. If you can produce results on a cheap tablet, it may convince your mom to buy a more expensive one.
this is the 3rd review i went through and I decided to order it today for only $240 on Shopee :D
