the fact that the Blackwood house once ruled in wolfswood makes me think that the house forrester is a distant cadet branch of the Blackwoods, a small headcanon of mine
I'm of that same thinking. They're distantly related or former vassal. And the Starks saw them as a great continuity for the region and the ironwood trees
Loved this video! I’m new to CK3 and GOT so this helps a lot, not sure if y’all plan on making more of these of the rest of the regions but please do 🙏🏾
The north always felt kinda on par or weaker then the other kingdoms but has the most potential with all those holding slots but takes insane patience.
It's definitely more on par since the most recent update, but in the previous where it had no tax base buildings it definitely had a massive difficulty curve
Actually deserts can be cold as well. The Artic and Antarctic regions can also be classified as deserts. I'm not sure but it's possible the game distinguishes between the hot dry and cold deserts. If it is a general modifier that'll be funny since there's no way the Red Viper will be comfortable leading armies in the North.
Can you please make a guide for Dorne? I would love it. ESPECIALLY how can i make enough money if i play independent and want to have a dragonpit asap :)
Luv me North, Luv me Starks, Luv me King in the North 'ate the Boltons, 'ate the Wildlings, not racist just dont like em. 'ate the schemers. Simple as.
I'm all for the debuff as, the story makes it seem like they're "poor". But it's not, Ave the debuff being that ungodly high is dumb. I'll give 30% at worse, but 100% is broken

Dorne nd Reach
the Crownlands feels like an obvious next
hopefully you do all of them :)
@@Midgeman reach probably, best region in the game.
The Vale, shouldn't take so long compared to the other suggestions and it's an awesome region
Dorne
Never been a big player in the north, largely because it felt very empty. But this is gonna give me a reason to try it out!
Liar...
And I've added a lot additional special building 3d models in the North with COW-AGOT to help make more playthroughs feel unique.

I believe the Forresters the lore are as old as the starks as a house so they probably all share blood of the winter kings

We're certainly thinking about it!!
The devs released a new build yesterday that adds a new model and restoration events for Moat Cailin as well!
I saw this!!! Literally 5 hours after the guide came out 😂😂😂
@@MidgemanSo will there be a video about the unique events of CK3AGOT?
Maybe but that takes some of the fun out of playing. If there's enough love for the base guides - perhaps some more deep ones like that
These AGOT guides are amazing! Please make more!
Thankyou
Love your videos!
Thank you!!
I wanna go on a Skagosi Summer Holiday 😤
We're all going on a skagosi summer holiday
It's TaIGA not TaGIA, great video but that drove me nuts
Same lol, i love this guy and his videos but taiga cant be this hard to say.
See my brain will always read that as Tiger so it double autocorrects weirdly
@@Midgeman ahhh lol, fair enough bro

Dorne would be very interesting as next region
Good to know!!

Iron From Ice, The North Remembers!
THE NORTH REMEMBERS
can we get this for all the regions?
Maybe 👀

Oh absolutely some of the coldest places on earth are deserts! Totally would be funny though 😂
I like how they recreated north. I wonder if other regions are equally well made.
As in the physical structure? I think map accuracy is one of the biggest and most faithful elements of the AGOT mod
@@Midgeman I'd say in general. Also, non-canon stuff that they added seems pretty cool.
New Midgeman Content just dropped!!! 🎉🎉
absolutelyyyyy

Seeing a lot of votes for Dorne so it might have to be the next big one
@@Midgeman Great thanks ^^
Please do a crannogmen play through I’ve been waiting for one on yt since I found out about agot
They do look really good fun
For the next video could i suggeat showing default men at arms as i point of reference as its hard to know how much better or worse it is.
A great suggestion
@Midgeman awesome video btw, starts me thinking of doing a Jorah Mormont adventurer playthrough to reclaim Bear Isle.
@morrischma9565 oh that could be really fun!

I think generally it's fine now that they have the ability to build farms. Back when there was no taxable buildings was just unplayable
