When we were there in August, we went to Hoop Dee Doo and at the part where they ask folks who are celebrating their birthdays, anniversaries, etc someone said they were celebrating being breast cancer free and the whole place erupted & they got a standing ovation. I still get teary thinking about it.
Same here. I've been staying away from social media and tv news, just reading some romance books and watching my fave completely news-free YT content. I need the comfort. Thanks Jen.
An amazingly relaxing video. Watching this helped to lower my blood pressure. Yes. I am watching on election night. 😐 I did, indeed, need this. 😅 Thanks for sharing, Jen!
I need this today as I weep for my girls' future and as someone who finished treatment for breast cancer back in June and am waiting to get a biopsy done on the other breast.
Your so right Jen and I hadn’t even noticed… There are far fewer Disneyland bloggers these days. I never knew you could walk between the Magic Kingdom and Grand Floridian. What a great place to walk and for the children to let a bit of steam of or just get food and chill out there…. I love the way you do Disney…no rushing here and there at break neck speed,no hassle. I would love to do it like this, instead of how we usually do it with the grandchildren and their parents. So lucky here in the UK…we have regular free mammograms every 2 years, and bowel screening. Just had mine and all good. Thant the Lord. So greatful, for that…. That salad looked amazing. Keep well Jen…
Thanks Jen! Loved this relaxing video! Regarding your lunch conversations, I am also a breast cancer survivor. Original cancer was in my right breast. I chose to have a bilateral mastectomy and they found 2 other cancers in my left breast. So happy I listened to my instincts and did not just get the lumpectomy the doctors were pushing for. You are your best healthcare advocate - listen to what your body is telling you!
It's so important! I was raised to never question doctors and the truth is you HAVE to question EVERYTHING especially when your gut is telling you something is off.
Just what I needed this morning! I’ve often wondered about what to do with my DVC points in five years when both kids are off to college (because hubby only tolerates Disney) but now I know - I’ll go alone! ❤
This is perfection! I needed this so badly today! Thank you!! Assignment completed last Friday and I keep catching myself holding my breath. This is the perfect video for today! 💙🇺🇸💙🇺🇸💙🇺🇸💙
Jen.... Less than a moment into the video and I became so emotional. I think everyone should take a solo trip at least once, or more (for all Disney adults). This video gave me a clear Zen feeling. Loved it! 💕💞
As a hospice nurse, and also a middle aged woman with late diagnosed ADHD, my brain is busy all.the.time with thoughts bouncing around about life and death, mixed with the personal need for dopamine, distraction and escape. This video reminded me of how the last trip to WDW with my family gave that. Amazing family memories. Heaven. But the first time I went to Disneyland CA a few years before, it was so hard for me to remove the images I saw in my head, not all that far from the park, of real life struggles: the unhoused, drug addiction, mental illness. It made me think about how the Disney experience makes all that seem so far away. An alternate reality. It was jarring, and hard for me to reconcile such different realities. Or rather, realize that nothing about the Disney experience is reality. When you transitioned from sharing about the heavy, but meaningful experience you had with the ladies talking about breast cancer in the cafe, and how that affected you, back to talking about the park, and the fun stuff - I wondered if you ever feel that way too. There’s NOTHING wrong with having an escape. I need it regularly. Sometimes I just need to kayak to the middle of a small lake in my town and just sit there. I don’t need to feel guilty about it. And I LOVE to travel. But for some reason, the Disney experience is a double edged sword for me: the over-the-top experience(the elaborate ride facades, the food, the music, the friendly cast members, everything clean and perfect) is AH.MA.ZING, but makes it harder for me to enjoy, in light of knowing that human suffering is not too far outside the gates. Ugh. I’m sorry. That was a lot. I want to figure out how to be a socially conscious, thoughtful, aware traveler. Some of your videos suggest to me you might have similar leanings. I would guess being a content creator is a minefield - you have followers with myriad views. Would it fit with your brand to do a video about how to travel with all this in mind? Or - I’m overthinking all this. It’s what I do. 🤷♀️😊 Thanks for your great videos. I really enjoy your perspective.
When I was a pastor I used to struggle with this a lot. I would leave the bedside of a dying child and her parents and then need to go home and love and parent my own kids. Or have a counseling session with a woman who had been assaulted. Any number of horrific and sad things. But even on vacation the bad things are still happening all around us all the time. I had to learn to find my joy and peace in the midst of all of it. Because even walking down Main Street you may be next to someone who just go the worst diagnosis or a child who’s been abused or a woman who just spent her rent money on a disney ticket. The peace and serenity has to come from within you because you need to access it not just on vacation but all of the time. At least I do. The struggle will always be there when you are a compassionate person and the alternative is no way to live. Hang in there.
That’s a great perspective. I can’t imagine what that was like for you. Thank you for sharing. yes- it’s daily work to keep finding joy in the midst of suffering. But I love what I get to do, so it’s worth it. Thanks for your thoughtful reply. ❤
Such a beautiful day at Disney. Loved this so much. When we first started going to Disney I would plan every moment. I learned quickly that going with the flow made for better trip. Every time you saw a monorail it was like “squirrel “ 😂😂
God bless you for doing that walk. I’m a local and 67 years old. I would and could not make that walk. I should have went to the parks today. Such a calming day. 😊
I was watching this and my kitten decided to sit next to the TV and bat at your dangling, pearl, earring, on the screen. I took a video of it. Hopefully I can share it with you, someday. It's pretty cute. 😊
This is maybe the third time I've gone in early on the morning of a Halloween or Christmas party and unless there's a holiday or something to muck it up, it's typically quite lovely.
Thank you for the breast cancer talk. I personally have always disagreed on when ANY screenings should get done since I've grown up with Crohn's Disease and have had several colonoscopies. I saw my new PCP in September, and she said that either this year or last year that "they" pushed back screenings to 40. I'm 36, so I guess it was 35 previously. In my 20s I actually followed someone on here (defunct) who got breast cancer at 30. Whoever pushes these age brackets should be sued. I will take care of myself, thank you again 💙💙
Thoroughly enjoyed your video today Jen. The crowds did seem very manageable today and just loved watching your adventures today. I hope you enjoyed your dinner! Thank you for taking us along!❤
Such good timing to watch this on Wednesday! Thank you, Jen. I am excited for the new Tiana ride, but I'll skip the Country Bears (no nostalgia for me). Glad you had some "me" time and enjoyed yourself!
Thank you for this and everything you did for the election. I will always hold that in my heart. Resting today to get ready for the coming years of action.
Oh my goodness... bubbles. You didn't say a lot, but I think we feel the same way about SO MANY bubbles.😬 And the Introvert's Bench? Love that! Thank you for pointing that out. I went to D23 with my hubby and friends this year and I NEEDED and introverts bench. 🤫 💜
The horse drawn street cars are one of my favorite things here at Dland and at WDW (really the horses more than the cars). Thank you for opening with that. Looked like a beautiful Magic Kingdom day!💜
Well! That was fun! I haven’t to WDW since 2017, but at that time I stayed right about where you are with the Savannah view! You brought back some good memories! Thanks!
I love your ability to have a “vacation” at Disney. Trying to plan our trips with more downtime so we don’t need a vacation to recover from our vacation. lol. Wonderful video.
I’m so happy i found your channel Jen, loved your little seat, at Disney you need those little moments of peace, glad your having a relaxing fun time x
We went to Disney World a few years after it opened and we were all so small there weren't many rides we could do (or that many rides to choose from!) but the one thing we all remember was the Country Bear Jamboree! Do they still sing "Blood on the Saddle"?
That was so much fun! Thanks for taking us along. I love Disney World , but it has been years since I was last there. I did not know you could walk to the Grand Floridian.. Thanks for sharing info on breast cancer. God had a hand in how that all came about. Love the introvert bench. Glad you zoomed in on those zebras - that was cool! Loved the tours of the rooms. They are so well done. Do you, by any chance, know if the Lodge was at capacity while you were there? Just curious. Love you, Jen❣️
I have a Disneyland AP so all of those little purchases add up in both money and space. I just got back and was disproportionately proud that I didn’t buy anything but food. We will have to see if I can manage to pass up the holiday merch.
Good luck! And yes money and space are both limited commodities and I have to be sure I live the item more than my money and more than the space it will take up!
Mostly not spending a whole day at Epcot! Only slightly kidding. If I'm doing an entire park day I'm going for my Altra Running shoes but I rarely do a whole day in the parks anymore.
I wish I could show people this video when they make fun of me for visiting Disney because they “don’t get” why I would want to visit a place for kids, especially since I don’t have any.
I don’t have kids and I LOVE WDW-so much that we bought a house just down the street from the parks! My friends were sure I was crazy too! I love every day here!!!
There had been a bunch of schools on fall break the week before and also there was a Halloween party that night so the park closed early to regular guests so that usually helps
Thank you for the mammogram reminder. My Dr. has recommended a breast MRI and I’m wondering how different it is from the traditional imaging? I’m a massive introvert with sound and touch sensory issues and I’m wondering what I should prepare myself for? I love your videos and thanks for any advice. 💖
The MRI is the best diagnostic tool especially if you have dense breast tissue. My MRI place had music (I chose a Fleetwood Mac playlist) which helped a lot!

I just got teary eyed reading this!
This video is my sole comfort the morning after the election. Thank you Jen!
I wish the comfort wasn’t needed but I’m glad you enjoyed it. Heartbroken over here too.
Same here. I've been staying away from social media and tv news, just reading some romance books and watching my fave completely news-free YT content. I need the comfort. Thanks Jen.
Perfect Election Day distraction - thank you, Jen! 💙
Absolutely my pleasure. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Yes I agree
An amazingly relaxing video. Watching this helped to lower my blood pressure. Yes. I am watching on election night. 😐 I did, indeed, need this. 😅 Thanks for sharing, Jen!
Oh, good! I needed to relax too.
This is the perfect “soak up the vibes” video!!!! Thank you
💯 support for grandmother energy. I try to travel with granny vibes, myself.
It is the best!!!!
I'm going to pretend this is where I am today, just watching giraffes and relaxing.
Same.
I need this today as I weep for my girls' future and as someone who finished treatment for breast cancer back in June and am waiting to get a biopsy done on the other breast.
Oh Amy. That’s too much for one person. I’m sending you love from here.

The first few minutes of this video is Magic ASMR. Love.
Hurray! That was my hope!
This brings back so many memories of my trip last year!

It’s seriously such a great use of our membership!
100% the right video for November 5th. The content we needed! Thanks!

I miss these good old MK Jen Lefforge videos!!!! Love love love ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you, Jen. That's all . . .
Your Introvert’s Bench commentary warmed my heart! lol
You know what- I think I’m going to plan on a Disney trip about four years from now. Best for mental health 😂
@@RamrodRedfish we are also doing that! As a form of celebration after these next very uncertain 4 years. But now we have disney to look forward too
