After all these years, I still come back to these vids. ZL1 & 1LE are special! I’m shopping hard af the moment. These cars have sky rocketed. Some correction post Covid, but still. I’m actually wanting a manual and now looking seriously at the 2SS 1LE…..as the bargain shopper. Fun factor? Is $25k more for a used ZL1 or ZLE worth it? I track, hoonigan at night, and most of my pass time is car related activities. But spending $70k on a Camaro still doesn’t add up to me. C8’s are cheaper and protects your ego if that matters. I’m to old for that, but Camaro vs C8 pulling up to your favorite valet restaurant still makes an impression. Either way, this platform is awesome. I want a manual 2SS 1LE as new as possible, a ZL1 or ZLE. The 2SS 1LE seems like a “who cares kind of fun car” you can burn the tires off and replace. The ZL1’s seem more like an investment, park far away, and manage consumables b/c you feel those costs.

Yes, the ZLE is worth it. I had a zl1 a few years back and...it's still a monster. The ZLE is so sticky, feels glued to the road and I also feel will retain more value over the years. I never considered the vettes, the driver's compartment feels too small.

I bought a 22 ZL1 1LE thinking it would be fun extra car to have. It looks and sounds amazing with AWE exhaust. However, it you just want the look of the 1LE but don't plan on road course tracking it. Do yourself a favor and just get a regular ZL1 and get the exterior upgrades to make it look the 1LE. The suspension on the 1LE is very stiff and not comfortable on city roads. My better half used it to take the youngest to her soccer tournament. They did get a few favorable comments from the soccer dads. However, they both said the ride was very uncomfortable and they haven't been in it since. New plan is to trade it in on a CT5V Blackwing.

I can't tell you, depending on what you want to do is what trans you should get. I have a 2019 zl1 a10. My buddy has a zl1, 1le manual. In a race stock for stock, I put 2 to 2.5 cars on him from 70 to 140mph. All his cars are manual trans, so he knows how to drive them. Also, drag strip, his tq mgt would not allow him to get the 60 foot and the car was only in the low 12's where mine went 11.2@127 stock. He doesn't care for the stiff ride but he does road coarse racing where I do not. My car is not stock anymore and I have 842hp on pump and 894hp on E85. His car is catback, intake, E85 only. I'm a drag racer, roll racer so the a10 is better for that. I also gained 3 tenths with just a trans tune. If you want to have fun and enjoy shifting, but will not out run a tuned a10, manual is for you. If you dont mind feeling every little bump, the 1le is for you and looks better in my opinion.

1le is slower ,stiffer ride , more drag.
Difference = high wing , solid aluminum bushings , thinner back glass , 19" lighter wheels & 1 hell of a rough ride 😂

I’ve had both.. of you go for the manual just be prepared… for me it’s not so much the ride as it is running at 2300rpm doing 70 with the manual lol. That 6th gear is way shorter

Truth. The 6th gear on 1LE is basically 5th light.

I like the look of the 1lE better but don't know if the harsh ride is worth the extra track performance.
