Being the proud owner of a 2022 ZL1/1LE, I would have never bought that car in an automatic! There is nothing better than rowing through the gears of a six speed manual! Beyond happy I bought mine in a manual! Great review as always. 🇺🇸
These gems have shot up in value, can’t fine one in California used for under 75k , I’ve seen some used sell for 80k. Definitely would chose this over a hellcat.
@@mustang8206 very relevant comment - just bought one selling my regular ZL1 - a d now thinking of actually canceling my Challenger Widebidy Jailbreak 2023 last call allocation - it's one he'll of buy before they are gone and far more limited than even a GT500 CFTP - only about 30 cars I could find across the US for 2019 onwards model still priced very well!!
My 1LE in tour mode is better than my wife's FRS. Yes I know the FRS is an entry level ride but it is fun to drive. The Camero ZL1 1LE is a beast. My only thing about the car is it drinks more gas than I do beer LOL
The steering was numb because of the tires you had on that car. I believe those looked like Nitto Invos but I could be wrong. The stock GY3R or Michelin PS4S tires provide tremendous feedback. It has a thinner rear glass for less weight and sound insulation. It also has a cardboard trunk liner. Think of this as GM’s attempt at making a M3 CSL for the US market. The ZL1/1LE is extremely rare from a production standpoint even compared to Porsche GT cars. What’s more - the ZL1/1LE did a 7:16 (Unofficial time of 7:13) at the Nurburgring back in a 2017 in a Manual! Hagerty has already claimed the ZL1/1LE a future collectible. Best part is that it’s still available in a Manual.
Its a on order ready car. They dont just produce them because its track specific. It is also designed around the Goodyear F1 tires. So its SLICKS OR GOODYEARS and nothing inbetween. The car is faster on track than ALL LAMBORGHINIS before the Aventador and newer Huracan models, McLarens bread and butter 570s, Ferrari 458 and pretty much all Porsche GT3 models in the 991.1 generation. This is a serious car meant to be driven on track.
Best car for under 100k and it’s not even close. This one is also in the best color. Should have kept the matte black hood though. I daily my ZLE in LA traffic no problem on the stock 3R tires. The only ones who say it’s uncomfortable are old men with bad backs
6:16 the visibility aspect of the Camaro is so overblown it’s crazy, I drove my 14 SS for eight years straight and never had trouble with Blindspot, turn your head before you change lanes

I have a ‘21 1LE and swapped out the tires with Pilot Sport 4s’s and it changed the ride quality to a much more bearable ride! I can daily it with the 4s’s no problem. It’s still no Escalade with air suspension, but better than the GYs that come on the car factory 🎊🎉🎊

@@brutustheoldeenglishbulldo8672 You're absolutely correct! I daily my ZL1 1LE (26k miles in 2 years), and you can do it with no issues and very little performance sacrifice with having 4s's. In fact, I find it to be comparable to track mode comfort-wise with the SS1LE I had before.
@@brutustheoldeenglishbulldo8672 what car would you compare it to in drive quality, like how smooth is it. Because the 1le is the perfect package the only problem is the suspension
My 2022 has finally been given a production date. I did not choose the 1LE because I wouldn’t enjoy it as a street car. The magnetic ride suspension in my 2012 ZL1 is perfect because I get to set it to tour, sport, or track with the touch of a button.
Good video! I like the ZLE but I also like my SS 1LE I just got in rapid blue too for my channel! I feel like the manual transmission fits these cars better but the A10 is fun to drive too
Hold the paddle down and it will downshift to the appropriate gear for you. No need to shift through 8 gears. Did you change through the steering modes?
