This gown is so iconic for Marie Antoinette because it was supposedly too simple. They described it as being almost to her posing in her underwear than in actual clothing. So... Kinda like having a member of the royal family get their nudes leaked.
@@tlaoltjenbruns9580you’re thinking of the chemise a la reine which the dress in the video was not. I think it was a robe à la française . Pardon my French.
@@tlaoltjenbruns9580 In this video she dresses in the French Robe française (18th century Rococo style dress), And you wrote about the style is clearly called 'Queen's Shirt' (Chemise de la Reine) The Queen spent huge sums on outfits, and discontent in the country grew all the time. So over time, she began to try to demonstratively give up luxury. In addition, as she grew older, she looked for ways to highlight her fading beauty and hide imperfections. And the queen was often pregnant and needed clothes, first of all, that were comfortable. The influence of the ideas of the philosopher Rousseau, who called for a return to nature, and the growing popularity of the English costume (more practical than the French one) also had an impact.
Deve essere stata un' esperienza emozionante indossare l'abito di Anna Bolena, così ricco di particolari. Senza contare che per una volta hai avuto delle ancelle che ti hanno aiutato, come una vera nobildonna 🤗🤗🤗
You look gorgeous in both and they're both exquisite gowns - I prefer the Tudor one as I enjoy that silhouette more in general, but man you make me want to bust out my sewing machine!
Both are beautiful for very different reasons. The Marie Antoinette dress reminds me of the chemise a La reign (I’m definitely not sure of the spelling!) but it is a more simple dress when she wanted to play a shepherdres at Versailles! Please keep up your great work in all you do!
They are both gorgeous! The creativity and craftsmanship is amazing. My favorite is the Anne Boleyn dress. The layers, fabrics, patterns, and colors just draw me in.
Both are stunningly beautiful... but given the choice? I've always been enamored by the outrageous, over the top flamboyance of rococco fashion...Marie Antoinette is the queen of my dreams! 💖
I love Tudor dresses and their history but seeing how easily you transformed into Marie Antoinette made me want to learn more about that era of French-wear
I love the square skirt 😭 It’s just such a beautiful shape!! And so obviously decorative, which makes it clear that it’s expression of art through fashion, and not some impossible-to-attain body-shape ideal (my new ideal body type IS square tho). The Anne Boleyn costume is just so rich, though, with its colors and layers! It reads sophistication, but that might just be because of our modern interpretation of what LOOKS sophisticated?? I do appreciate the sleekness of that design, though, and I LOVE the layers. I love them both 😭😭
I honestly just love anything Rococo. I took an art history class where we studied that time period of art and I fell in love with the style of the era. “The Swing” is my favorite piece of the time.
As much as this was gorgeous. I can’t stop looking at the wig gap on Marie Antoinette’s. The gap of the wig and the head is the “seen and can never unseen” thing. But lovely work
Marie Antoinette’s dress is surprisingly simple compared to Anne’s, which I was not expecting

@@tlaoltjenbruns9580 you’re definitely thinking of the chemise lol
@@christinareynolds8179 oh, well whoops! I thought this was the dress, since Marie was well known for being over the top with most of her gowns.

You are very talented! Well done
Personally, I love yours
Marie Antoinette will always be a favourite historical figure of mine, for fairly complicated reasons
Anne Boleyn is and will always be my favorite dress. It's what got me obsessed with Tudor period dresses
The Marie Antoinette one looks so nice. Despite the layers it doesn't feel heavy, it just looks kind of playful(?)
I would DIE if I got to dress in Tudor period costumes. So gorgeous! I'm Anne Boleyn for every Halloween lol
You look gorgeous in both and they're both exquisite gowns - I prefer the Tudor one as I enjoy that silhouette more in general, but man you make me want to bust out my sewing machine!

Marie Antoinette’s is so gorgeous!! I love the white, super feminine look!!
I think I prefer the Marie dress because of the colours, but the Anne hairdo is WAY nicer to me

El vestuario de Marie Antoinette es mí favorito xq me parece resalta más el cuerpo, y lo hace muy femenino.
You look good on Anne Boleyn style
I love the structure of the Tudor dress
Anne Boleyn's dress is gorgeous 😍

The dark colors of Anne’s dress do it for me! 🖤⚜️🖤

I'm a complete Tudor fanatic Asta and I adore your Marie Antoinette dress but I'm freaking out over the Anne Boleyn gown 😅❤❤🥰❤
I love Tudor dresses and their history but seeing how easily you transformed into Marie Antoinette made me want to learn more about that era of French-wear
Anne, it looks gorgeous
I love Tudor Era gowns

Anne's one is so rich, formal and sophisticated. Wow
Anne, she looks like a real queen.
The Anne Boleyn one is gorgeous. Rich dark colours and sumptuous textures.
I love anne boleyns dress so much layers texture and the rich black and gold.
But anne boleyn will always be an icon for her necklace
This made me smile. I love historical costumes. Both are FABULOUS but if I have to choose one, I got to give it to Anne. 💜
Ahhh, how are we supposed to choose when both are so beautiful! ^^;
Marie Antoinette

Anne without a doubt no wig. And rich colors fabrics and fur.

Anne Boleyn! It's such an elegant look from beginning to end!
Anne Boleyn!! Is gorgeous!❤
I’ll vote for whichever one has cake.
Tudor really really suits you
