- Over 90 people were arrested as protests across Britain descended into violence on Saturday, with the courts to be kept open for 24 hours to crack down on 'far-right' disorder across the UK.
Ministers for the new Labour government have been locked in talks to bring in emergency measures to deal with an influx of riot-related charges.
Far-right riots have swept Britain since the killings of three young girls in Southport last week, and more unrest is expected in the coming days, a police chief has warned.
Courts will be ordered to stay open all-day to deal with the new cases, according to the Sunday Telegraph.

Protesting is fine as long as it’s peaceful. The violence and destruction we are seeing is absolutely unacceptable. It might be worth noting that the damage to property, police vehicles etc is all going to be paid for by those who pay their taxes, so all your doing is making it harder on the rest of us. Those who are acting this way should feel the full force of the law including prison sentences, we should not be living like this. I’ve seen comments about living standards etc but when we had Brexit it was all about migration. There was loads of jobs that became available but yet we still have more unemployed then we do paying tax to the system, how is that possible? We are also forgetting about what happened in Southport and the appalling events there but it’s been high jacked by people who clearly just want to make it about themselves. And people like Farage are only igniting this further. I hope Labour and Sir Keir do whatever it takes to tackle these events unfolding. I wouldn’t blame the government for putting the army on the streets and curfews in place for all citizens who are not essential workers. It’s not ideal but carry on and there could be repercussions for everyone. This violence is doing NOTHING just adding to tax rises that may have to come to pay for it all!

I wasn't allowed to leave they blocked us all into an area and started arresting people pretty violently. They punched one guy in the face while cuffed. Police where mocking and laughing at people. To be honest I was disgusted.

It is outrageous, people are just turning up to cause trouble, there was women with children at the protests in Liverpool, I am all for peaceful protesters and also from Liverpool but I am ashamed to say that, and people who are blaming the police are thick, the police are advised by the government so blame them, they have created all this.
i know the rioting isn't right but the government surely must realise the British people aren't happy.
