Granny was the best sitcom character of all time. nobody else could have played that part better. it's funny to see her not being Granny. how they could do a scene without cracking up every time she spoke must have been tough.

The line in her song that got the most laughs was: "Now I could waylay some aging roue And persuade him to play in some cranny But it's hard to believe I'm being led astray By a man who calls me "Granny". This was of course the year after "The Beverly Hillbillies" ended.
I bet you anything that for the lightning round there are a couple of guys below the desk pushing up the right word with their hands. Sounds kind of silly but it is far easier to do it that way the rig up a lot of machinery.
