Regarding weight loss, I was 540 pounds and dropped down to 295 pounds in a year, 245 pounds lost. That's about the limit of rapid weight loss while under the supervision of doctors without starving myself. I'm so much healthier today than I was a year ago when I started all this. Glad to hear that you are on the mend, keep positive, much love.
There’s nothing better than going for a long walk by yourself or with you dog. It’s good to get out, feel the sun on your skin and breath in some fresh air.
0:15 Aging truly sucks, I don't even choose to celebrate my birthday anymore. It's just another day for me. I know that sounds cynical and depressing but I just prefer not to celebrate it.
Holy shit! I did not know what was going on. I hope that you and your family are doing well. Good grief!!!!!:( What in the hell! I am 47 and I have a curvature, due to a "batwing sacralization" so what to expect for me (sorry to be briefly about me), i am glad to have you to enlighten me/us with the fucked up skeletons to understand. Billy forever!!!!!! Jay is OK...LOL:) Dodongo is king. Melvoir is prince of Nerddom. Chris reigns supreme! Figure out the hierarchy you bunch of chodes! We love you all now and forever for who who you are to us! So never mind all that is said.
I get the name thing my older cousin is 43 his name is Timothy but growing up everyone called him TJ for most of his life but as he got older in his late 30s he started going by his birth name more and more….good to hear your on the mend but sounds like you got more healing to do
Yeah my name is Phil and at my job I call insurance companies and stuff and I spoke with someone last week and she's like it's Phil short for Philip? I said yeah I said I'm 45 but I still go by Phil. But my professional name is Philip lol. Wtf. Yeah I've got back issues too man but mine are at the bottom. I'm currently going through something feels like a torn rotator cuff which is very very painful I don't know how it happened but I have degenerative disc disease so it's slowly affecting me at my age to the point where I get up and I can't even walk. I don't want to do surgery but I feel you about doing other stuff to avoid surgery. Definitely don't want to have surgery in like you said get one slip of the knife and you're in a wheelchair the rest of your life. Haven't finished the video but I figured I would put my two cents in and hope everything is well and hope you get through whatever else is ailing you at this point. Getting old sucks.
I hope your back/neck issues get better man. A lot of dudes, I've found, seem to think that "working out" or "getting in shape" basically consists of, as you rightly call it, "body-builder training". Basically JUST doing weights, and trying to build up muscle. Problem is, you can get buff as fuck, and still be in horrible health/shape. When I could afford a gym membership, I wouldn't have "leg days", "back days" etc. I would just alternate significant cardio (mainly an elliptical machine), and arm or leg weights, lighter weight, higher reps. It worked well for me, as I wanted to get in shape, not get "swol". And as someone else here mentioned, I supplemented that with regular walks as well. Just going on walks, or if you have access going swimming (which I haven't done in years) are actually excellent for you. Low impact, but still great for your body. Also, some mild yoga-ish type exercises can be really good for you too, nothing extreme, just some good back stretches and bends, hip rotations, building up that "core" etc. I say all this as someone who has been in declining health/shape for the last several years, to the point where it's actually become physically difficult for me to exercise more. But I still need to try. But I do know, back for the stretch that I WAS a "gym rat", what worked well for me. Wish I could/would have kept it up.
Hey Billy, I’ve been a fan of your and jay show for years and it’s the first time I left a comment. Hearing about your health issues saddens me and I’m not quite sure what your doctors told you. Do you have a scoliosis? If that’s the case buddy I feel for you I’ve lived with a scoliosis all my life and I do have metal rods in my back all I will say to you don’t stress out by it much but I understand your frustration. I know there’s no magic cure for it but rest a sure things will improve, and if you feel down about it don’t because there’s a lot of us out there who suffers with the same problem. Just to let you know there are some wonderful support groups out there witch can help you and can you can find them on Facebook. Anyway, keep positive stay strong and have a beautiful day
I have a condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome that makes it where all my joints are super lax and the connective tissue is too loose. I dislocate my shoulders rolling the wrong way in bed. I understand how painful your body can get when it's not in the right position. I have to wear braces and be careful how I move and what I lift or I damage joints. Be careful with yourself. I'm 38 and my body is totally broken. Be careful.
@@Billychaser unfortunately it is. I've dealt with it so much so that my pain tolerance is unnatural. Nothing the pain docs give help except microdosing oxycodone or morphine. Unfortunately it's led to my body just failing under me. I'm pretty sure you've seen me scooting around Retropalooza in a wheelchair. Walking and standing is just not my thing. Albeit I can do it but it's exhausting and the disease also makes my heart weak. Take care of your body, you don't want anything like this. Trust me lol 😂
Everyone I know has spine and neck issues. Been wondering whether it is genetic, lifestyle or a combination? I have never been successful at weight training and eventually accepted being skinny. Being tall usually means back troubles. -Going to be 55 in three months. Good that you are improving, your common sense approach is going a long way to improving your results.
Did not realize your neck had got that bad, see how you go, regular walking is good for your core muscles which hold things together. Make sure you are looking slightly up at the center of your monitor when you are working on the computer and your feet our slightly elevated on a footstool or use a fit ball. I have similar damage (although mine is triggered by degenerate disc disease), I have had C4/5 Fusion, and C5/6 artificial disc - they went in through the front of my throat - I had lost most of the use of my right arm, so I had no choice to go all in with the operation. Been much better since. Have more damage at L4/5 and S1/2, but I can still walk (for the moment) so not planning the next stage as yet. Hope your situation stays stable and you find an exercise balance that works for you.
I also want to publicly apologize to you Billy. Awhile back when Roe V Wade was taken away you made some political post about high taxes or some shit I can’t remember and I jumped on you and brought up the abortion thing, you got pretty pissed off and said some shit, I felt bad and kind of had a hard time watching your show after that, because I felt like a twat. I just wanted to be a man and apologize, hell I don’t even know if you remember. Either way, I hope your back issues get sorted out, from a longtime fan.
I had(have?) Kyphosis. Basically, think Scoliosis but instead of the spine twisting it curves. I was all hunched over in Elementary school, and I ended up having a crazy 13-hour surgery where they put steel rods that run pretty much the entire length of my back with hooks and stuff. So I know how extensive a procedure like that can be. Plus there’s recovery time! I hope you find whatever works for you! I’ll go ahead and say again(I feel like its an annual or semi-annual tradition for me haha) that I need to catch up on tons of Game Chasers etc.! My life has had many ups and downs over the past handful of years and my mental health has really suffered, so I’m trying to not only catch up on life but also creators I enjoy 👍😃
Glad you're doing ok. It's crazy how much we took youth for granted and it creeps up on all of us. I can relate to the name thing. Timmy used to bother me and the older I get the less I care. Worse things in life than a name lol. Keep on keeping on my friend.
Good update; and good thing you were able to pivot on time. I hear ya on the gym. I went regularly but w/two toddlers I dont have time. So we walk more as a family in parks etc. Always have to adapt. I do minor exercises but lifting my kids keeps me a little bulked, so i havent lost too much size. Stay healthy Billiam. P.S. watch the vid I sent via Twitter
I’ve had people call me Joey and it always creeped me out; however, I don’t think Billy ever wears out its welcome. Also, you should do neck workouts with a neck harness. That helped me correct a lot of my own neck pain and back pain issues - don’t get too crazy with it, though.
"Every year I get older."- Bill If you're looking to still get the benefits of dead lifting but don't want the strain on your back consider trap bar dead lifts. The weight is centered on each side rather than in front of you so it relieves some of the pressure on the back and moves it to the quads. An added bonus is there are higher handles on most bars so you could reduce the range of motion, even more so by putting the weights on blocks. I hope you feel better Chode.
I highly doubt that game collecting content creators talking about personal things like health problems are looking for English classes as if you're their mum.
Billy, working on your core, bar hang and other workouts might be perfect for you. In general, if functional strength is what you're looking for, get into calisthenics.

Billy suits you. Its not childish, its a welcoming and friendly name.
With a heart defect and a pacemaker, calisthenics and yoga is the way I go. Plus, my cardiologist always told me no heavy weights.
Billiam's car videos are the truth.

Hi 👋 from Dubuque Iowa
Glad to hear you're feeling better, William 👍

No worries, pepperoni pecker is a very common condition for men your age.

hearing you call yourself Bill just sounds so wrong, but I get it. Works for willy nelson though

I remember the last video, sorry youre going through all that. Glad to hear it is improving somewhat.

A lot of people named "Billy" aren't actually Williams, they were named Billy at birth. So I think there's no shame in it!

I doubt you would like this advice, but if you quit drinking completely, it will improve your health.
That wont put my spine into place
I think you're probably 'wary' (i.e., cautious, alert), not 'weary' (tired). Hope your back improves.
