That ROB is stupidly accurate ngl. Also, the symbol still works on the back of Zero Suit’s torso seeing as how there actually is a symbol there in-game. Another fun fact, green Pikmin do exist! While not explicitly being named green Pikmin, Glow Pikmin are, in fact, green.
Thanks! I was aware of glow pikmin's existence but since they float without legs and are more of a glowing neon green, I didn't feel they quite qualified
Only thing I'd change about ganon is the hair personally, the widow's peak in the same color feels like it would fit a lot more. These customs are sick though, love em
this is amazing. i've been scouring youtube for lego ssbu purists, so finding a video in my home page that was not only from a channel i had already subbed to but also incredibly fresh just made my day. the customs were quite amazing and i definitely have to make some of these on my own. keep up the good work!
I’m so glad you found it useful! I’m definitely gonna make some more fighters. Ideally I’ll make every fighter eventually but we have a long way to go!
You can make the perfect Lucas with the red striped version of that old pirate torso you used for Ness, and then using the CMF series 22 Figure Skater hair.
I remember watching videos like these more than 10 years ago and being impressed with them, im glad to see people still making their favourite characters in lego
If lego and Nintendo actually partnered up to make super smash brothers all they'd have to do for a set is make a bunch of mini figures and a simple final destination platform and it would sell like hot cakes! Personally I wonder how Ridley could be done. Maybe build him similar to some custom xenomorph designs I've seen before with a custom head.
You nailed Rob's design so well. I wonder how other big characters such as King K.Rool or Ridley would look. Nonetheless, I'm impressed with all these character's designs
Ganondorf was an awesome surprise, he looks great! One thing I did different with my Snake figure is Dr. Strange face from 2016 to add in his beard. Great video, I'd love to see a Dark Pit using the Githyanki knives as the Silver Bow!
These turned out really good!! For some reason I didn’t expect them too, but I shouldn’t have doubted you, these are great! My favorites I think are Pit, Captain Falcon, Olimar, and Mr. Game and Watch
Improvements: Zelda: I would personally replace her hair with that of Galadriel from the LotR sets, as the color and style match LttP Zelda better. Ganondorf: The hair could be better, but the only better options I could find in Dark Orange had Light Nougat ears, so that wouldn't work. Samus: Maybe use a trans-neon green head instead of a solid green one, though those can be hard to come by since trans-neon green got discontinued. ZSS: A more neutral facial expression, like that of the Chell or Natasha Romanoff minifigures would look better, but otherwise pretty good. Fox: Since he's shorter than most characters, maybe medium legs would work better. ROB: The black-and-white spine stands out quite a bit, maybe using an all-white or white-and-gray pattern would look better.
These are awesome! I love how you made official Lego pieces work for what you needed instead of using third party/3D printed/painted/etc. I'd love to see Bayonetta, Ridley, Min Min, the Belmonts, and the Fire Emblem characters! :D
i would like to see a part 2! Dude you literally have potential! When i saw that Lego R.O.B. mr. game and watch, and samus, They looked so good! You should try mega man, pac man, shulk, and ryu next!
These are actually super impressive. Best renditions I’ve seen throughout the years, truthfully. I know my friend and I tried to make some back in the day and… well, it didn’t go so well. 😂 But regardless, great video man, I admired how smooth most of your transitions were between characters and how the music came in at the perfect time for each!
The editing, pacing, and transitions on this video were really nice to make it enjoyable. I also appreciate how real pieces were used and cited where they came from.
These look phenomenal, dude! Well done! I think Ganondorf and Falcon are my favourites, I would love to see you take on the Belmonts from Castlevania if you decide to do more of these Would also be super cool to set up a stage diorama for all the fighters to fight on lol
I really loved all of your customs, all the pieces look like they were made for them to be used as a custom piece to match the characters, even more that captain falcon helmet. I was hoping for a Shulk custom but great video even tho :)
@@redsuitstuds I've seen some good references on reddit for the monado as well! I personally find the figure a bit more complicated. Could be bc of my shulk bias (he's my fav character and xenoblade my fav game) so I want it to look as accurate as possible so no pieces satisfy me 100% 😔
@ that’s fair. That’s how I felt with link before the deku tree set came out. No official Lego pieces perfectly portrayed aspects of his look so I never bothered doing a custom one.
Really cool mimifigs and builds. I think the metroid is my favourite. I never get over how Lego managed to make all of those Chima heads so creepy. I have a couple of wolves, eagles, ravens and a lion and they all looks horrible. Their masks/helmets are cool though.
I think ROB and Samus are my favorites. While the fact that the waist doesn't quite sync up irks me, the rest of the design feels very much like what Lego would do if they made a Samus figure!
I also make Smash Bros themed customs (not an expert, I just use whatever I got from when I was a kid) and for ZSS I honestly just used Wasp's torso and legs from the Ant-Man and the Wasp set. Anyway these are all much better than anything I've been able to concoct, amazing job
This video is amazing, I was constantly going :o with everything you added. Amazing job, please do more of this Edit: lol just found out there's a part 2, gonna go watch that now
Very nice builds once again sir! My favorite is the solid snake one, I really like what you did, especially the box and exclamation point. Looking forward for more!
These are all so cool! I was wondering how the heck you were supposed to do Game & Watch, but it came out really well. I also appreciate the inclusion of the bonus metroid in the Samus build. Speaking of Samus, my minor nitpick is that a red scuba tank would be more accurate. Hard to tell in Smash renders, but the boosters on her back are typically red.
Not a single figure was bad! They were all awesome! And I also saw some of your custom minifigures videos which inspired me to make my own! I just recently made 2 UA-cam shorts of a custom Venomized Deadpool, and a Squirrel Girl, both from Marvel Comics! So thank you for inspiration! 😃
These are great! Very refreshing to see almost entirely purist takes on these characters too. I feel like a lot of the “I built ___ character” videos I see on UA-cam use third-party accessories. Your Captain Falcon is especially cool!
Those figures are really accurate to the original characters. You definitely put a lot of thought and effort into this video. (Btw when are you doing a Mega Man Lego figure?)
For MegaMan you can create a pretty accurate mega buster with a red unicorn horn inside a blue 1x1 cylinder as you can fit the tip of the horn inside a mini figure’s arm in place of a hand
@redsuitstuds maybe do something like the lego Minecraft display that cheesy studios is making but with smash bros Also I know it is basically impossible but please make archie sonic lego builds
