Roman is a terrible tfl Ambassador and really needs to retire. Someone in the company needs to grow a pair and let the old man know that he's terrible. Between mentioning Tesla every 2 seconds, then accusing this company of copying them and finally coming out with that whole "you Europeans" comment.
Watching this video was like watching a bad movie showcasing at obnoxious American Tourist character. Aren't you guys embarrassed by this?
Tommy, it's time to take over the reigns, your dad has reached the point where old people get where they think they can say anything that comes to mind with no filter.
While that is funny now and then, it isn't when on TFL channels.

I know two Polestar owners that were Tesla owners in the past - They say there is really no comparison... the Tesla is just OK as basic transportation, but lack any sort of cache, or occupant involvement. BUT... the Polestars were given total love from the owners... Polestars are getting much more popular here in Vancouver, British Columbia, to the point that people are waiting for their new cars.

Just ordered my polestar 3. Can't wait. I drive my polestar 2 for three years and overall very satisfied, especially how it looks l, the materials used , the overall quality and the safety. Most importantly, the drive experience, so good, polestar team is a professional car racing team, the adjustment to the drive is great. Most of people didn't know polestar, didn't try it out, so they thought didn't worth, however, once you drive it for sometime, you will love it. By the way, don't say polestar is from geely, geely just the largest share holder, geely is also largest share holder for Mercedes. Indian now owns Land Rover. However, no matter who owns the brand, the operation team still the original team. Don't judge the owner of the company, you should talk from the driving experience and functions you got.

I have a 2021 Launch Edition PS2 and I love it also. It is actually the best driving car I've driven and I've had MB and BMWs in the past. I love the power, the cockpit makes you feel like you're driving a sports car. When my two year maintenance was due, Polestar Princeton sent a truck to pick up my car and drop off the loaner. The next day the truck bought my car back, parked it in my driveway and took the loaner. I didn't have to lift a finger. How's that for customer service? People sleep on Polestar cause they have this notion that it's a Chinese brand. The Swedes know how to design a great car! I love it so much I have an order in for a 2025 PS4. I know that'll be a blast to drive. BTW, do you get a lot of looks in your PS2? People constantly are looking at me as I drive by. It's nice to know that even though the car was first released in 2020, it still looks as modern as any other EV on the road. I test drove a BMW i4, Audi Q8 etron and Mercedes EQE and in my opinion, I think the Polestar was easier to use, more nimble, faster and more comfortable. Hopefully they'll survive these tariffs cause I think this is the brand for me. BTW, good luck with your PS3. I hope you enjoy it as much as your PS2!!

@@nickscott447 Yes. You are absolutely right. It turns so many heads and also service are great. I live in New York, more than 10 times when I stopped my car, some one stopped by and asked me about my polestar 2 and asked me how to buy one. When I drive my polestar on the way, so many drivers pass me and lower their window and give me a thumbs up. I totally agree with you that even though the car was already out for about four years, it is still one of the best looking EVs on the road. I think you may experience system lag on the information screen of PS2 and storage shortage some time, because four years ago polestar first launched their first EV, they were using gas car platform SPA and used relatively outdated chips. However, it will not be an issue anymore moving forward, polestar 3 and 4 designed with brand new pure EV platform and using Qualcomm 8155 chips, it is one of the best chips for now. I think you may have tried the 3 or 4 information system in the polestar space, very smooth. I love 4 as well, but my polestar 2 lease will end soon and the earliest polestar 4 only comes to New York in Feb 2025, I will choose 3 this time. There are a lot of great functions on polestar 4, I hope you enjoy it. The terrifies will not hurt polestar too much since they will produce polestar 3 in the US soon and will produce polestar 4 for the US market from their South Korean factory to avoid terrifies. I wish you the best for your new polestar.

@@nickscott447 The notion that Polestar is Chinese, that some love to state in the comment sections, is ignorance of the brand. This is as much a Swedish brand as they come. They are fiercely a Swedish company and are very much an offshoot of Volvo. Geely happens to be the parent company but that doesn't mean they are involved in the creation, tuning and other aspects of the Polestar car products. Of course Volvo and Polestar both will take advantage of shared components but there is a lot about both brands that make them uniquely Swedish. And despite where they are built, the build quality, not reliability but build quality in terms of solidity and finish, is superb.

We learned our lesson with our Polestar 2. Can Roman go 1 episode without saying Tesla? 5 years ago Tesla was a forward looking company. Now however, Tesla is still milking the same stagnant design language they've over utilized for a decade. Buying a Tesla then was supporting engineering and innovation. After Musk's recent controversies, buying a new Tesla projects a very different image about the driver. Tesla may have been the gold standard in EVs 5 years ago but those days are done! Now Teslas are as tacky as driving an Escalade. I bet the person showing you the controls on the car was genuinely offended you compared a Polestar to a Tesla.

    • @genesishep
      @genesishep 21 день тому +2

No, Roman is incapable of not mentioning Tesla OR restraining himself from showing any other type of bias he might have. He is the absolute worst Ambassador that TFL has and honestly he's an embarrassment at this point. Just because you own something does not mean that you should be front and center or that you are good at hosting. My guess is nobody at TFL has the balls to tell him he's no good. If he's incapable of making certain changes or is at least able to show some manners then he needs to take a lesser role in the company.
Just in this instance he's been flown out by a company, likely pampered and fed. While that should not guarantee that company gets a great review, it should at least guarantee that he doesn't bring up another brand every 2 minutes and then basically say "oh so you're copying them." And that wasn't the end...
Worse is the whole "Obnoxious American Tourist" act he seems to enjoy putting on. I mean, WTH was that "you Europeans" comment? I hope they charged him for the flight and accommodations afterwards. As as well traveled as he is at this stage he should know how to present himself.
TOMMY, make the old man retire already.

No they are not. Polestar uses one platform, the SEA, that is the Geely Group platform. The Polestar 3 uses a Volvo platform. The Polestar 2 uses a Volvo platform. And the Polestar 5 and 6 will use their own Polestar platforms. Volvo selling shares is a pure business move as Volvo and Polestar work hand in hand on developing their cars. The materials you see in the Polestar 3 and 4 are the same as Volvo's materials because Volvo supplies them. Then there is a mix of some Geely and Volvo parts in the 4 and mostly Volvo parts in the 3.

So either Polestar US told Polestar Global to get stuffed on the date or it was always going to be different. Do you think the Polestar 4 will get sold in the US though being as it's almost a sedan styling in some ways and could have very low sales due to everyone(what seems like it but isn't reality of course) wanting their monster SUV for getting their quart of milk in? I can see the P4 selling everywhere but the US but not sure they'll sell it or for how long in the US especially if sales are poor due to it not being that monster SUV.

There are huge differences between the two cars as one is the sister car to the Volvo EX90, the Polestar 3 and the other is built on the Zeekr001 framework (a car also designed in Sweden but by a different team of designers). That's why their interior layouts are different. The 3 is based on Volvo's SPA2 platform while the 4 uses the Geely corporate platform SEA platform (whose chief engineer was an ex-Saab engineer). From a distance these look remarkably like a new Tesla. Or did I see a previous Pulsar? Beautiful I love the design.

8.8 seconds...my 1988 Fiero was faster to 60. Just because you can make them slow doesn't mean people want them that slow.

Polestar 2 are not selling here in Germany because the interior is terrible and they have a bad reputation for poor reliability. The new Tesla Model 3 is outselling it 100 to 1. My cousin who used to own a Polestar 2 launch says his new Model 3 is simply a decade ahead of the ancient Polestar 2. No wonder why the CEO said it no longer fits within the Polestar product range and will be discontinued in favour of a much better and modern replacement likely called Polestar 7.

Here in Finland it much more even.
      2023
      Model 3 1041 units and
      Polestar 947 units...
Not sure if early version of Polestar we worse, but nowadays they are pretty solid cars. And based on Facebook Tesla and Polestar groups Teslas seem to have way more issues...
And both have their good and bad sides.

So you flew all the way to Europe to NOT drive the car…what a complete waste of time. EV car companies scream about the environment and pull a marketing stunt like this.

In a sane world, leather is much more green than plastic (PET or vinyl or ...) being biologically manufactured from single season plant crops and by nature being much more biodegradeable. I generally like what I see of Polestar vehicles, but they come with too much greenwashing and an overbearing and oppressive corporate Nanny. Also I'd rather avoid everything and anything to do with Geely.

Sure Volvo and Polestar are owned by Geely. Until recently Volvo has sold off Polestar to Geely. Geely a Chinese company had tried to make cars for decades with no success. They saw the opportunity to save a legendary company (Volvo) and learn how to build cars. Geely saved Volvo, and Volvo made Geely and actual automaker. Geely invest billions into Volvo on a bet that they’d develop the technology to build world class cars Ona massive scale. That’s what they’re doing.

This is Geely group which is not Geely Auto. It's like saying VW cars are the same as VW group. The actual company that bought Volvo is ZGH, not Geely Auto.

The “T” word will always be synonymous with electric vehicles. They pioneered it and still have a leg up with their tech, albeit not as much as say 10 years ago.

What a big big improvement over that overpriced and ugly Polestar 2. I hope they can sell many of these. The Polestar 2 has no much inventory here because no one wants them and Polestar wont offer substantial discounts to move them.

Volvo was so much better when it was owned by Ford, right? Same for Land Rover, now owned by an Indian company, Tata, choke. You’ve no problem with Chinese-made phones or computers. You want luxury goods, but whine when they cost too much. Maybe you’d prefer going back to the days when only rich people could afford nice things and you’d buy their leftovers used, if at all.
