- We just received some Massive News that Dunk & Egg is officially coming to HBO Max with George RR Martin attached as writer & executive producer, along with House of the Dragon Showrunner Ryan Condal.

Only 100 yrs before GOT, we get to see what it was like shortly before the GOT era. If they do it right it could be their best work and their most popular series so far. Everyone loves this story.
I can't wait, we have some truly epic ASOIAF days ahead of us!!
Cant wait to see Bloodraven on screen if this series makes it to book 3.
Yea that'd be awesome! Part of me is even hoping it goes all the way to the tragedy at Summerhall, though i doubt they will go that far unfortunately.
@@JeremyIceAndFire33 From what i understand the dunk and egg series isnt finished and should end with summerhall so who knows maybe GRRM will find some inspiration here and knock out 1 or 2 more novellas

I think they should make "Dunk and Egg " a comedy. A dark comedy, perhaps. I think they can do something special and different with this beloved universe. I just think they have a great opportunity to create a new spin on this universe. I'm sure it'll b great regardless. I love GoT, and I think it's a probability that HOTD is gonna b even better, because of the amount of action they're bringing to life n such a small amount of time. From the moment Luke and Arrax got the chomp, til the infamous "Hour of the Wolf", the rest of the story only lasts a just under 3 years. It's gonna b great, and I can hardly wait. Great video, as always, Jeremy. UA-cam needs to get your content out to more people. If they see your work, I have no doubt your subs will start going way up, very quickly. It's great content, with absolutely no flaggable content, which is also impressive. Good narration, great editing. Keep up the good work, kid. Keep the faith. U will know greater levels of success. Im with you there, Dunk & Egg is a cool self contained story & all. But I want the full Blackfyre Rebellion experience, Daemon Blackfyre, a young Bloodraven, Aegor Rivers, gimme all of it lol

Yea same, this is going to be great! A nice Lone Wolf & Cub Westerosi style show with some very loveable characters!
I’m very concerned about them possibly over saturating or that there won’t be enough writing talent to go around due to time constraints and juggling multiple series. I kinda wish they would just do one at a time as exciting as it would be to have something every year. As a Marvel and Star Wars fan, I’ve now seen what too many shows or movies can do to a franchise. Rushing these series would be necessary which is kinda scary to me. I would much rather have excellent TV that only comes once every two years than for them to juggle 4 shows and f*ck it up. You can really tell they put time into House of the Dragon and that’s why it’s so good, not because it is a Game of Thrones series. I just start getting nervous for writers and VFX artists when the execs start talking about multiple shows. Quality is better than quantity and I just hope the writing in House of the Dragon doesn’t start lacking due to writers being pulled in different directions. Having said that, I’m still extremely excited for this show. I just hope they can manage it.
Over saturation could potentially be a problem down the road, but Im not too worried yet personally, especially with George being heavily involved in all of the adaptations. I imagine he'll want to keep up that same quality we got on HOTD. I agree on Star Wars & the MCU, they're just throwing stuff at the wall these days hoping something sticks. Which speaks to a big lack of creativity & talent in the writers room. I dont see that happening here, at least not any time soon. Even if the Snow series does get the greenlight too, that will still only be 3 active shows now that Aegon's Conquest isn't happening. Dunk & Egg will be a much smaller show too in terms of scale & production, it's very self contained. I'll give anything based on ASOIAF a chance at least. But hopefully they don't go too overboard tho.

Good question. Still no confirmation that Snow is getting ordered to series, although I have a feeling that'll be the next one that gets announced. If so, we could potentially get more than one series per year. Especially with Dunk & Egg being a much smaller show in terms of budget & scale. It's pretty self contained & will prob be much easier & quicker to film compared to the others.

Where are they going to find someone to play Dunk? most actors are short going to be hard to find someone almost 7 foot tall.
Luckily there's plenty of camera tricks they can use to make characters appear much taller than they are, but I personally would love to see Tom Hopper in the role
