The day Matt decides to supercharge his Bullitt is the day Hell actually freezes over
Mad Hatter 😂😂 the day when he breaks the speed limit🤣
How about pigs flying? Frozen Hell, with pigs flying in there. Could be possible.... :)
Nah, he won't modify his Bullitt. He would worry too much about his warranty.
Lynda Hammel lol! I thought the very same thing.
2amd lives he’s a bitch, he won’t modify shit
The fact that the dealer can put in a warranty covered supercharger makes this decision a no brainer!
Except the clutch, how does that work...or end up NOT working. A dealership who does this and wants to be taken serious should upgrade the clutch as well but remember, this is the same dealership that offers this kit on a 5.0 with STANDARD brakes, not too smart and/or safe IMO.
@@klasseact6663 it's a calculated risk. I don't think if taken care of properly that it would mess up the car
@@AS-oo4gv listen, components need to match up to work properly, not to mention the safety standpoint. They offer this blower on a stock GT with stock brakes and skinnier tires, pretty illegit company IMO, but hey, it's their name💩

You are a true MVP
Joef Magat thanks man hate watching the whole vids here.
Not all hero’s wear capes haha
I saw a Bullitt for the first time yesterday, pretty nice car
You should be the spokesperson for rice crispies.
bsizzle Hill ayo 😂😂😂😂😭😭
That shit is funny .....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
A positive displacement blower replaces your intake manifold. So at 3:26 you did alittle but if a fib there. It does not still have the unique intake manifold because it’s all whipple stuff
Yeah I thought so, but the dealer told me it was retained so I guess I was just misinformed.
Matt Maran Motoring maybe whipple has a special bullit lower 🤷🏼♂️, sorry if my comment came off rude. Love your channel.
2:02 is what you’re looking for
(But I recommend you watch the whole video, it’s a good one)
cheers bro
I agree, from your face reaction, it doesn't look like it pulls as hard as you think an 800 horsepower supercharged car should. Also, the sounds are fantastic like you're driving an F-Type R/SVR.
I bet if he raised those rpms to 4,500 to 4,700 then punch it he would feel all the torque. Peak torque starts at those rpms.
Its the gearing of the manual its too tall. If it were a 10R80 and he punches that in 3rd he'd feel the torque thats for sure!
Great hearing you keeping your car original, smart as it will last a long time & hold it's value Matt!
Cars shouldn't be an investment. Plus he's stated he wants to keep it forever.
*hold some value
Matt the supercharged Bullitt will not have the same intake manifold as a stock bullitt as the supercharger replaces the factory intake manifold.
Came here to find this comment, thanks lol
Me too
After you own a Mustang with forced induction there is no going back. The horsepower is literally addictive
I totally agree with the approach of keeping everything factory original. My view is that if you love a particular manufacturer or brand, originality is critical.
I am very happy, that you are keeping your mustang STOCK.
hey matt just wanted to say that this was a really fun video to watch. thanks for the upload
I think the bulitt its about the driving experience not about power. If it was my choice i will never mod it
stefan koles I would get eBay power chip, headers and 5in cannon mufflers
and some 20in chrome asanti rims
Well, I am not going to tell you what to do your Bullit but 650 horsepower seems pretty compelling to me!
I'll tell you this matt, it really doesn't matter whether you will supercharge it or not, as long as you are happy with what it offers then I'm happy for you my guy 👍
My Dealership just received 3 bullits and a GT350. The bullits in an amazing car from looks to the amazing technology. I was surprised no markup on the bullit, but $10,000 on the GT350. The bullit your driving sounds like a race car. Sounds great, but maybe a little to much for daily use. I'm considering the bullit, but it will remain stock. I have never considered purchasing an extended warranty, but I am considering it only because of the type of car and technology the car has. I should mention. The stock 480 Horsepower works for me. Thanks for the fantastic video.
“Hey guys Subaru double you are ex fan here”
it be like that sometimes
The crackles and pops!!!! How? Just from the boost, or a tune?
The problem I have with these aftermarket modifications are reliably with the car. The dealer should offer as factory options like dodge has
Great seeing you leaning into it, can't beat that kind of super-charged power!
Thanks for a fun video. 800 hp sounds crazy fast! But I agree that you should keep your Bullitt stock.
Sure don't forget larger breaking systems that means larger wheels for clearance. As well as the roll cage and and strut tower bracket to maintain straight unibody frame structure
The Whipple sits on top of the engine and replaces the intake manifold. With a Vortech or Paxton you'd still have the intake manifold.
make sure any kit you get you must have an intercooler. For the design from the coyote motor I would go with a centrifugal style kit. The screw style kits are for lower compression low rev engines. take full advantage with a vortech/procharger kit with the rev range the sbfs can do.
Hi Matt. Nice vid. Liked before watching since I knew it was going to be good
Look up vmp blowers too.
If you do add that much power, you also need to upgrade your wheels, tires, brakes, and suspension.
True! I purchased a Bullitt and out of curiosity I spoke to the Steeda sales rep. Steeda does a Steve McQueen special edition using the Bullitt as a platform. The total additional cost for the 800 hp upgrade with all the extra stuff is $40k. So then you have close to a $100k Mustang. Like the GT500!
Of course there is a base upgrade for only $20. That boosts you up to about $70k. Personally I’m with Matt on this issue. The Bullitt is perfect as is for a daily.
Only point of upgrade is the bragging rights. For racing buy a GT350.
Hey I too have a 2019 Bullitt. Around 1400 rpm the exhaust rattles and also the rear seat area squeekes over bumps. Does yours have the same noises? Oh and thanks for this video. Good content.
My Bullitt rattles also at low rpm.
With all the 5.0 engine issues the last thing I would do is modify it.
? Ford builds the Coyote to take boost from the factory. If you were a serious autox or drag racer then a billit oil pump gear would be wise
Agreed. Look at the issues Ford had with supercharging it’s GT500. Huge open front end and hood clamps to hold hood down. Needed leather radiator and other cooling equipment to avoid extreme heating!
Typo re leather radiator! Lol larger radiator needed...
I wouldn't supercharge it, but maybe an X Pipe, maybe a different cold air, a tune. Maybe E85 🤔
I don't know much about cars but I like this bulliit and was wondering can u put xpipe and supercharger on it? Will anything go wrong? Will sound be louder?
@@trahayes9802 X pipe would make it louder and raspier. A supercharger kit, any one made for a 18-19 mustang GT would work fine but I'd recommend having a shop do it, or with the case of the video, the dealer installed it already. Nothing will go wrong if you don't do hard launches, the car would need wider tires, upgraded drivetrain if you do want to launch it hard and take it to a drag strip.
I did a ECU tune on my Ecoboost F150. It hasn't been the same since and now its not under warranty. Most of us know the risks vs rewards, but in hindsight I should have left it alone, it was plenty fast stock. My goal was to add more HP, which it did, but with that much torque on a big ass truck it made it undrivable at times.
Wow
Only possible in the us
So much hp for such a small amount of money
krezo but you can get a gtr for only $130,000 (everyone against Americans cars)
I want to know why it crackles and pops more than the stock set up....is it added to the Whipple tune maybe?
Ford just put out some information on the gt500 which explain the urgent need for lots cooling due to supercharged engine. The GT350 has major cooling issues at first due to overheating and GT 500 has more vents and cooling components. Steeda has also done a major upgrade to 800hp for about $40k added on to the Base Bullitt. It includes a lot of stuff as part of a “Steve McQueen Edition”. Much more expensive then this from Lebanon but has all kinds of cosmetic things too like badges and different wheels. I like you feel that the basic Mustang Bullitt is really great. I bought mine in April. Have you researched Steeda’s edition?
Man you gotta get on it some more
Thumbnail sold me lol
I like what lebenon Ford is doing but I wonder if any of these supercharged mustangs have ran a stock hellcat yet. Curious if they do compete.
Awesome video Matt and that's a great car and supercharger! That's why I love the Eaton TVS superchargers they have all the power from the start, Hints Fords 2020 GT500 2650 will be a monster! But still Lebanon Ford does awesome stuff with these cars!!!
I came here for 3:09 and it did not disappoint! Hooray that we live in an era of Coyote power!
yea I bet the Getrag really handles the power well
You need a tvs if it’s available.
Why don’t you test drive the Steeda Edition? I’d be interested in your honest opinion. IMO it’s too much money for what you end up with in view of the basic Bullitt. I prefer it stock too.
Is it just me or Matt has that distinctive sadistic sicko serial killer reaction when he gets too excited?
2:09 lookin just like Beavis and Butthead characters I swear
Lmaoo😂😂😂💀
@mattmaran I love boosted cars! You can have the tune custom so it hits harder but some do it like this car to keep the feeling of a NA car.
I would go for it! I'm tuning my ATS-V when I get it. My Golf R has stage 2 UNITRONIC and I love the crackles too.
I keep my cars forever and imo my stock Mustang is perfect for me.
Agreed, stock is best!
Adding a bit of power is nice too
Keep yours stock!!!
Patrick Schorre stock is too slow
Art Vandelay 4.2 second 0-60 MPH is plenty fast!!!
@@patrickschorre2143 with full bolt ons it will make almost 500 to the wheels!! ur boring
ricer boi you don’t need 500 whp!!!
Traction limited fun!!! 😎
What's up Matt what's your opinion on the 6.1 srt8? Should one get a 6.1 or a 5.7?
6.1, 5.7s are ok but they just don't have enough kick to them, I had a 13 charger 5.7 with tune and exhaust and cold air intake, and test drove the scat pack challenger I have now with the 6.4, the bigger the motor the fun you'll have
Wonder if it has boost by gear, causing the linear feel
The Coyote engine breathes on top and like other modular Ford engines do not make maximum torque down low, which is why the positive displacement blower brings in a bit more torque to the mid range. This I found out when adding a VMP Gen 2R to my 2014 GT. It is a blast to drive now and just builds on the Coyote performance with its excellent breathing. Assuming you want to keep the looks of the Bullitt Underwood vibe, a centrifugal blowers like the Procharger, Paxton, or Vortech is another way to bring on boost while retaining more of the under hood factory appearance. That’s the reason I opted for the PP1 rather than the Bullitt....modifying a special edition car to me takes away from the original factory intention. With a GT, have at it and customize to your vision is how the Mustang has become all things to its owner. I’m of the all Ford Performance stuff so I’m leaning to the Roush blower system, plus I’ve installed one already and the basics are pretty much the same. Plus if installing yourself, the blower assembly is separate from the intake/heat assembly so you don’t need two people to lift it into the car if you’re working alone.
Just some thoughts anyway. Great video as always...let’s get the subscriber count to 500k. Take care!
Man, I want that power but the crackles kill it for me. It would become absurd to drive without quiet mode haha
You don't seem like the kind of guy that would be obsessed with more power. I think the reliability of keeping your dream car the way it is is more your thing.
Can't seem to find a dealer that will do it for my bullitt
That exhaust note!
I dont know about supercharging your bullitt BUT, maybe an X-pipe for more of those "pops" because it does sound good!
Just full send, Matt.
What did you say Sunny I can't hear you put a microphone on your shirt
Add some speedo views when you do wot pulls be cool to see how fast it climbs
Hey matt I live in Michigan , I want to get one ? Do o go up ford dealer ship to get a supercharged one
I’m building a TWIN SUPERCHARGED foxbody! #shiftwrenchrepeat
How does a twin supercharger even work? Unless your talking "twin-charging" using a super charger and a turbo charger.
Very few examples of twin supercharging anything.
Matt...always keeping it positive 👍🏼
Matt, I totally agree 100% about keeping the originality! Here in Australia I know 2 brothers who import mostly classic Mustangs from the US. They're about to do a Bullitt with supercharger for a client but wholeheartedly agree with me to keep mine at least original. Not that I would contemplate messing with it!!! How many guys would give their left arm, ok maybe not being a manual, to have a Bullitt?... But geez that sounded bloody awesome especially with the windows down!!!😈😍
You should take yours to STEEDA & have them transform & badge it to one of the Steve McQueen Edition specs, it comes badged, signed By Steve McQueen’s Son & get a whole lot of cool design / performance Q’s...
If you supercharge the Bullitt, please jump it over a hill like how Steve McQueen did
Awesome!!
If I could afford the kit itd be on my S550. If you can 100% go for it!
Parasitic hp reduction by supercharger.would reduce the hp to probably 650-700 hp. Stangmode discovered that with the GT500 which he thought really was 850 which is true but only 760 because the supercharger drains about 90 hp so it’s 760hp.
I came for Matt’s reactions
Do nothing because it’s great just as it is. Why? 480 hp is sufficient unless your a track addict. For regular use it’s fine.
I see a bullitt every morning on the way to work, follow a hell cat and see a sky blue Porsche every morning.. when I'm feeling down in the morning, it's not for long.
What's the point? Rear Wheel Drive. Same small 16 gallon fuel tank. What does it get? 12 mpg?
Yippie wtf are you talking about?
Only if you drive 120mph everywhere
@@Bajaheat Why don't you read my comment again a little slower? Maybe you will comprehend it better.
I'd say get Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires if you do get the package
the bullit and other mustang GTs with the performance package comes standard with the pilot 4s tires
Sounds good, would definitely be fun to see you supercharge yours
The only time Matt is really having fun is when his foot is down to the floor I always notice it first
3:12 to 3:25 Seen why every body watches
Answer yes...
Imagine if they had this available for the GT350.
What’s it like in the corners with the extra weight under the hood? Do they upgrade the front suspension to cope?
Suspension is left stock unless you want to pay for them to upgrade it. The car felt pretty similar to stock in the corners.
WTF Tried to do this on a new Bullitt from local Ford delaer a few weeks ago and they said it will void the Ford warranty on a Bullitt but not a 2019 GT
If you want to upgrade contact Steeda. They make mods called “Steve McQueen Edition.”
Only thing is it’s extensive list ends up costing total of $40,000. Added to basic Bullitt costs almost $100k!
Of course they’ll sell you a warranty for the upgrades. I think ford will still allow their warranty because of an agreement with Steeda.
What do they do to the clutch🤔
Please leave. Thank you
@@cali2468 legit question
Come drive my 2007 mustang. Very fun mods
I bet this can keep up or even beat a gt350
I wonder if it’s setup somehow to only give you boost at the higher rpms with the boost bypass or something, should hit you right away. Also since nobody else has mentioned it, I’m confused as to why you were saying it still retained the Bullitt intake manifold, as the supercharger replaces the manifold, but anyhow good video and I would agree with keeping your’s stock
It looks like the Bullitt has an upper and lower intake manifold; it's likely the blower only replaces the upper manifold.
Kevin Davis no it doesn’t work that way, the whipple kit has it’s own manifold with the intercooler integrated like any positive displacement supercharger kit, which the supercharger lid in this case bolts to as it’s an inverted design. Also the stock intake manifold is one piece, as are all the other versions. Hasn’t been a 2 piece since the 2 valve days
Matt wouldn’t compromise any reliability.
stock exhaust?
Can you make a pov video of you driving the bullitt?
Yeah I think I'll make one eventually, but I won't be able to go fast since my speed will be clearly displayed the whole time.
@@MattMaranMotoring I'll be looking forward to watching it.
Awesome! What a car!
What is that rattling noise????
U should make ur Bullitt a supercharged 800hp Bullitt
Not many talk about the impart on the fuel gauge after supercharging and then driving it like you stole it (otherwise what's the point). It's not just about the initial cost and extra HP. Perhaps gas is not relatively expensive in the USA.
If you want 800hp, you've implicitly agreed to stop caring about gas mileage.
Also, yeah, fuel is fairly cheap in the US. Not SUPER cheap, but cheaper than Europe for sure. ~75-90 cents / liter? Maybe 1.00? Depends on where in the US you live, too, different states have different road taxes on fuel.
@@MrSlowestD16 . Still good to know the impact on fuel. USA gas prices are reasonable compared to most of the rest of the world.
Dude gaining some weight I see. keep it up man #hitthatgym
Matt hope you enjoyed your ride...I have put about 1200 miles on the car so far...I enjoy driving it, the exhaust options are great normal, sport, race and drag same as suspension. Car handles great better than my 2013 GT 500 OH YES better. . OH Yes it is faster than my 2013 GT 500. What I love the best is the confidence in control of the car at high speeds and highway driving comfortable smooth predictable handling. Best high performance car I have owned. Let me know when you want to go for another ride LtCol Klaus USMC Ret!
No you're not going to s/c the bullitt. Remember the last time you tried to modify your Mustang
Go ahead and supercharge that bad boy. If you're concerned about warranty, go with the Roush to maintain it.
Keep it stock man, once you start modifying it all goes down hill. Trust me.
I think that you made the right decision in keeping the Bullitt stock. HOWEVER, for the channels sake, I definitely think you should get a project car that you mod the @#$* out of. :) Great vid Matt as always.
That’s a darn good question Matt, it sounds like you’re going to hold onto your car for several several years reliability is the issue here, if you have the money to rebuild the engine in the future then I think you’re OK. Then there’s the fact of modifying something that might be worth something one day🤷🏼♂️
