Thank you! Mine has been dead for two years. I recently saw these batteries on amazon and now have the confidence to just fix it finally. Thanks a lot.
I’ve been trying to figure this out for months. I always thought it was the controller… I guess it’s the battery. Yeah same problem, turn it on, kill switch light on, handle doesn’t turn on, and doesn’t seem to charge. Now off to find a battery and put everything back. Thanks!
Thank you so much for posting! I changed to a bigger battery and throttle control lit up but no luck. Going to replace the controller next and upgrade some stuff while I’m at it. Hopefully it’s not the motor
Let me know if you have questions along the way. I just cut the wire inside that came from the power button on the seat. Now the only on/off button is on the handle bar and you don't need that turned on to charge anymore. Basically bypassed the seat switch with the new battery. I have noticed a little less range, but that is expected being a 12ah battery. But it's kind of the only option for size unless you do a big external battery on the frame. I wanted to keep the stock look.
thanks..That on/off kill switch is junk. The button would get stuck when the weather is too cold. The button was accidently left on for days till the battery was completely drained and it never recharged again.
Does the bike still run since u made this video i might do the same with my super73 z1 but Amazon reviews on this battery say it dies down 3 to 4 months of use
Does the battery still work after a year? I purchased another brand and it doesn’t last 30 seconds so I want to make sure this battery is a good battery still?
My situation is similar but a little different. The battery bar on the handle lights up but it doesn’t go anywhere. On the charger, shows battery is full (green light). Has to be the motion controller in that situation, right?
I'm having this exact same issue. Everything works great except when it seems when Im going down hill fast the bike has a faint clicking sound coming from the battery and then will not turn back on until I pedal back home and reconnect the charger but all lights on throttle will show all green and will not decrease. But any other reddit post I read who also has the same issue they recommendee using the reset button to power cycle, which is not being used due to the wiring to the throttle. I read it might be a safety fault for to much power being used
Thanks. I never knew the button was fake. And I only just discovered the ZG is also the Z1. #facepalm. My bike has been sitting in my office for 18 months wondering how to fix this issue!!

Before you did this did your side button below the seat light up? My button lights up but the handle button will not light up.
Yes mine did the exact same thing. This should be the fix for you.

The button isn't a dummy button from the factory - but I bypassed it with the new battery
And link to charger
