Did the speed hack... put it all back together and when I pushed the throttle... nothing!!!! I was sooo mad! I thought this was a trick to brick all our Z1s... But this is crucial for everyone... there is a wrong way to plug in the motor to control cable near the back wheel! Make sure you align the arrows when you plug it back! The hack worked perfectly and now the power doesn’t cut off when I go over 20mph! Down hill and power would cut... this was my biggest frustration until this hack! Thanks for the video! Love my Z so much more now!
I have tried this on my Super73 ZG but it did not work for me and my controller shuts down after I reach the highest speed. I can’t ride my bike anymore unfortunately 😔. So do I have to get a new controller or something? I don’t know what to do.

I'd love to, but here in the us the come with a throttle already, in other places they are pedal assist only, they also have a different controller than the US bikes.
I do not believe so, you would need a different controller, a us one. There are many guys that have swapped motors and controller in the use to bigger ones, you may be able to find one

@@David-1-2-7 that's hard to say because we all ride different and have different landscape we ride , hills, flat ect and different rider weight, different tire pressure and a difference in riding style, where I may loose 30% you my only loose 10% . My advice is get a second battery and not worry as much about range. I personally like to worry about the fun and not the range that's why all my bikes have dual batteries. Hope that helps a little

That isn't something I would have ever used, I know others that have done that but for us it would have never been switched back, if we want to get a little slower we just use less throttle. Thanks for the comment, and checking out my video
@@briandhoward6137 If this thing had a little more power (mening that it was much faster without the limiter): - It would be nice to turn it down if you ever were to be checked by police/DMV. We have had a terrible accident here where somebody on a DIY Electric bike at motorbike speeds almost killed a pedestrian in an accident. Our Police and DMV is very active in checking these vehicle here. -If lending it to "Kids" or others it would be kind of like safety limiter. But i do agree. In this case it almost makes no difference at all.
Ive done this but with a switch. From my experience it’s necessary because when you snip the wire it has a lag before the power kicks in. It works best it you use the regular mode to accelerate then hit the switch once it get close to 20mph. It works as a hi and low gear.
Its interesting and that hack does work but I don't know if doing all that is worth gaining only 2 to 3 mph, plus I am sure that voids the warranty and puts more load on the batteries.
My warranty is long gone, it is only 30 days long when I purchased this, I am not worrying about battery life, I wanted to up the fun factor.. to get ach there own. Thanks for watching and the comment
@@briandhoward6137 U should had done the shunt mod while you was at it. That might have got it closer to 30. Or better still run them 2 battery packs in series, 72v baby ! And you'd be surprised how 72v does work but 37mph is really pushing to the limit for that motor

Worked for me. It’s a simple hack. If you follow along - and you own VERSION 1 Super73 Z - you not gonna go wrong just follow every step. Worked for me. Top speed went from 20mph to roughly 25 mph /Bklyn👑
