Love from Australia...native home of the Galah...saw a flock in the wild on the way to the supermarket this morning! They squawked to say hello to Bogie!
Totally agree, quality of time is more important than quantity of time. I’m gone for 12 hours out of the day M-F but my goffins gets 100% attention when I’m home. I’ve had her for 12 years and we’re best pals 😄
Dude, when he screms, I can hear the audio max out; your voice gets lower for a few seconds. Crazy. Anyway, congrats on the baby! I am so happy for you guys! Taking care of a baby and a Galah is surely no easy feat. I admire your spirit and determination raising these lads. Given how small your place is, I'm worried that you wont have enough space for the little guy and the new family. It seems like you need a dedicated room for Bogie. I honestly have no idea how you will handle this new challenge and I wish you the best. I've been watching your channel and BirdTricks for a while now, and I have a new level of respect for parrots and the it takes caring for them. Anyway, good luck! I look forward to what you will do in the future. Cheers!
Thanks so much for the support and for watching our videos!! Definitely won't be easy, but I definitely believe that great things in life usually don't come easy.... I'll keep updating everyone on our progress! Definitely keep wishing us luck 😅😂
I have found that through volunteering, it is definitely the male cockatoo that has a more aggressive nature. Females are definitely aggressive but reserved about it, until you come into their space. The predictability is much higher for females :D
So, because of Bogie's seemingly random dive at your face, this video ~ with all respect to you and your family Emily ~ answers nothing of the questions of how your baby will be safe? how Bogie will be able to handle the "competition" for your time. It sounds as if there's some idea that you'll be actually able to actually schedule in after breakfast time with Bogie, once baby is born? All wishes for well being of you and your whole flock
Hey emily...I loved your video sooo much...I hope you and your family stay happy forever❤ Lots of love from India And congrats to you guys for your baby😍.
Love this video ❤️❤️ I’m so curious on how everything will go with Bogie and the baby 🥰🥰 We went through this with Echo, our Galah, nine months ago when our daughter was born. Honestly, my husband had to be Echo’s primary caretaker for at least a week, because I was exhausted. Also here in the Netherlands you have a LOT of people over every day in the first week for all sorts of exams and stuff for you and the baby (midwife, nurse, maternity help etc.). It would be safe to say that Echo did not like that at all 🙈🙈 But fortunately, Echo got used to the baby really quickly, they love looking at each other and be around each other, on a safe distance of course. They would love to touch each other as well, but we decided that we are not going to do that until the baby is old enough so that we can teach her how to safely handle Echo. To be honest, that might be a few more years… Galahs are unpredictable, but so are babies and toddlers 😂😂
My birds are not in our bedroom and the only one I have left from when my kids were born is my nanday conure who we got to start whispering instead of screeching but my kids never cared so I guess it was kind of a waisted effort . I’d definitely start carrying a baby doll or something around so that he is used to it before the baby comes and you can nip any jealousy issues in the bum.
You are going to be an amazing mom of both your kids ❤

Ahh love this. Definitely on my bucket list to visit the wild galahs! I have only been to Cairns!
We all just witnessed your life flash before your eyes with that swift wing to the head.😂😂😂😅
