Great tips & advice !!! My galah just turned 6 months old so I completely understand about the bird zoomies !! I’ve started target training with him & he took to it immediately !!! Thanks again to you & your video about that … I believe his wings were clipped prior to my bringing him home … I hope I could train him to fly around my apartment too ! Baby steps literally 😂 he’s still a baby & we are getting to know each other as I’ve had him just about almost a month ! Thanks so much for your videos & info ! I want my galah Coco to be healthy & happy too ❤🎉😅🫶🏼🥰

Love hearing about Coco! That sounds amazing and you can use the Target training to assist you in recall training next. I find that putting up perches around the house for Bogie to fly onto has also helped him be more active! Love hearing about how target training has helped you. Thank you so much for sharing

Great tips! My goffins Molly does zoomies every day when I get home 😄 I hadn’t heard of permission based flying…that is so important. Training is a collaboration for sure. Best wishes as you welcome a new member to your family!

My 2yo female Galah definitely does zoomies, often while screeching. She will often fly very close to my head. Sometimes I actually feel her wings. I assume this is a form of aggression, is that correct?

I let my galah fly before breakfast to get some exercise sometimes he is reluctant then i don't force him to fly just let him eat. He's getting more lazy now.

when I got my amazon parrot he wouldn't fly only when he's spooked but he was fully flighted. I got him to recall to me at one point but now he doesn't come anymore idk why :(

Could be so many different reasons! Do you have any idea what your Amazons history was before you got him? He may have not been accustomed to flying from a young age and physically it could be very difficult for him!

@@flocklife I don't know about his history but he has a cataract in one eye but I don't think it affects his flight that much because when he knew recall he came just fine. But if he did recall again I would just do simple small flights. Hopefully one day he will learn again!
