She got 3 Oscar nominations (totally deserved). She's not so underrated by any means. She also rejected the role of Scarlet Witch in the Marvel MCU. So...she's actually big.
I feel like despite her two oscar nominations (prior to this year) she's only starting to get some of her deserved recognition now. She wasn't very popular before Lady Bird. Eventually her time will come and she will star in a big movie that will get everyone talking about her, and get her that damn oscar already

Saoirse is simply the finest, most gifted actress of her generation. The 1st film I saw her in was actually "The Lovely Bones' which isn't mentioned here.
ellengeary 3 yeah lmao that’s why I get so confused when people say that it’s a rare and hard to spell name haha because it’s SO common here (I’m irish and live in Ireland too)
I'm happy that she's getting the recognition that she deserves. She's been in the industry for a long time already, so I'm surprised that she's only getting recognized now. She was in Lovely bones, The host, Hanna, How I live now, and Atonement. The host was by far my favorite, though I'm not quite sure if they made a sequel to the other books Stephanie Meyer made (The seeker and The soul)

Her name is prounced SEAR (as in what you do to a steak) sha. I'm from Ireland and should know. Her name is the Irish word for freedom and it is NOT pronounced SUR sha.
Seems to be changing since Ladybird...but it's taking a long time. She is one of the supreme acting talents of her generation and seems to combine a real work ethic with a down to earth charm and easy wit.
saoirse is a such a beautiful person in hollywood andd it's such an honour to watch her be so brilliant in the movies she's in, like brooklyn, ladybird, little women. can't wait for the upcoming french dispute and whatever art she's gonna be a part of. it's inspiring to watch her portray characters in movies and come back here on youtube to watch her talk about them people and hear her experience. can you tell i've been sort of in a spree on saoirse ronan for the most of lockdown now?
I don't understand your point.I am fluent in Gaeilge (the Irish language). I learnt it because i went to an all irish primary school. I have loved her in everything she has done but the movie that first turned me on to her was her title roll in a movie that no one ever talks about - Hanna.
Cindy Kimberly She's so much more wholesome and talented than the Kardashians. At 23, she's a 3-time Oscar nominee and I bet she'll soon win one as well.
I could listen to *Saoirse* talk for the rest of my life , she has the coolest personality ever.
Kung-Fu Kenny Family that and her accent! It is so cool
LivenItUp especially her accent!👏😉
Do you have a crush on her ???

I think you think that because she didnt do much acting as much as she did when she was little
@ryn mcray wtf are you talking about?
How did Lovely bones not make her a household name? That was a great performance.
I KNOWWWWWWWWW
Just saw that one again a couple of minutes ago....still tears me up
She should have got an oscar for that
The Lovely Bones isn't a very well known movie or book for that matter.

She's so smart,skilled and brilliant

They did, it was called Atonement.
How can y'all sleep on Lovely Bones 😭😭😭 it still gives me chills

Niall T true
She says SUR sha herself
YES finally someone who gets it!
Niall T It can be pronounced two different ways depending on where you're from some people pronounce it SARE-SHA others pronounce it SuR-SHA.
aishwarya rawat no she doesn't. She pronounces her name as SEAR sha. She has to say sur sha like annersha because morons can't get it right.
Other facts: She's friends with Brie Larson and Margot Robbie.
And she is OBSESSED with Kristen Wiig.
she seem like nice person
I’m totally vibing w/ her about the dating thing 😂😂😂😂
I saw Little Women a couple days ago and I'm obsessed with her 😩 such a huge crush of mine
Why she isn´t dating Thimothee!? they look great together and they have chemistry on the screen!

She teetered the masculine and feminine line really well as Jo March. I had such a crush on her watching Little Women!
The Lovely bones was Amazing Still cannot get enough of that movie. Im in love💕🥺
She is stunningly beautiful and I love her accent.
The lovely bones was an amazing film and my introduction to Saoirse!
She wins the Oscar next for Mary of Scots! Brilliant acting! Brilliant young talent! I'm her #1 fan! Indeed!
Seems to be a down to earth young lady, best of luck to her in Hollywood. Hope it doesn't screw up to much if at all.
Yeah but what about Hanna? One of the best films ever tbh 😭😂
Molly Pennington I scrolled the comments for ages thinking “why is nobody talking about hanna?!” One of my fave films and class soundtrack

You're making a "12 things you didn't know about ...future Oscar winners " aka Timmy and saoirse
I don't understand why she hates looking at herself in films. Se is soo beautiful. Beautiful bone structure, lovely eyes and hair.
I hated her in Atonement but Lovely Bones was the first time I grieved for a character on screen. It broke me for quite a few days.
Atonement made her a household name in MY household.

lol its pronounced sera sha
Think of the word inertia, then just put an 's' in front ertia
Andrea Lugo sear-sha not sur-sha
She pronounces it sur-sha, the given name is generally sear-sha.
Good thing the world does not know there are like 2 ways people pronounce it in Ireland that are correct 😂
She makes me proud to be Irish ☘️🇮🇪
I'm Irish and my dream is to be an actor because of saoirse Ronan she's my hero
Her hating Halloween was the most shocking thing imo.
Definitely conserding its originally Irish anyway
My favorite film of hers Lovely Bones. She absolutely nailed that part. She is awesome!
I didn’t know I can crush on a girl this hard until Saoirse shows up
Hanna is such an underrated movie.

It's an absurdity, like a German correcting you for saying Cologne rather than Koln. Just silly, thoughtless stuff.
It’s really not a big deal- another person born in Ireland.
