I think the late, great Maureen O’Hara’s younger brother, who had a small part as a priest in “The Quiet Man,” really laid on an all-too-obvious and affected brogue in that classic film.
@@kensellers4082 yeah why do they do that? I have friends from America and we visited family and in NJ they came to see us and were all "diddly-doo-diddly-dy"... I'm from Donegal, so if all the counties we don't sound like that 🤣🤣🤣...l get they were liking to stereotype but man if you heard us talking you'd know it was a north county, albeit still in the Republic, but still, hilarious .

I love how Ellen normally has control and knows how to make people uncomfortable, but Saoirse has this Irish immunity against her humour and seems to outdo her everytime.

I think it's more that Saoirse's Irishness makes her invulnerable to Ellen's trickery, which immediately flatlines the humor and turns the focus to Saoirse as she dances circles around Ellen.

I didn't mean to watch the entire video but she is so entertaining and charming. So beautiful, too. "When Irish eyes are smiling..." I can see glimpses of my beautiful mother in her.
It was kind of a shock to here her real accent. I first saw her in "Hanna" and there was no sign of that at all. I looked her up to find out about her. She was born in NY. Perfect. But later on I here her on the talk shows and she sounds like she got off the boat from Ireland yesterday! Even more of a fan now. Got all the movies on DVD.
She's beautiful, funny, smart and charismatic. Whoever wins her hand will be one lucky guy.
Saoirse is so much fun and interesting to listen to. I'm still trying to plug this Saoirse into my head after first seeing her in "Hanna." No Irish accent then, 15 years old and tougher than nails, much of the film made inside the Arctic Circle, then Germany, and maybe Morocco's hot desert. I bought the film on line as soon as I saw it. Had to have it and still pull it out once in a while to watch again. I'm looking forward to many more movies in the future. But above all else, ya gotta love all that Irish in her!!!
