Any company that fires 900 people one day, then 4000 the next, is in serious trouble. Not a good sign of a healthy and secure company. Any remaining employees need to get a new job asap.

Josh is such a valuable service to society, raising awareness and calling these places out. I tried and get out of this mess called making a living to survive, while maintaining your sanity. Neither is really possible. The lies and manipulation and just overall dysfunctionality are too much. I only calmed it down a bit when I realized I've been so miserable experiencing all those hardships as well as voicing them around me constantly for years, which made my environment miserable as well. I still voice it to raise awareness but I am so beat and it's all just getting worse. I wish I had been able to find a way to make an income while speaking this truth so I truly admire this guy.

Anytime a company hires a consultant to evaluate one’s company, expect cuts everywhere! These consultants are mostly looking for bloat or what they consider unnecessary employees or finding ways to cut costs by limiting the required staff but increasing their work load because some metric tells them you should be able to complete said units or complete job functions in said time..

Workers who aren't preparing themselves for a possible layoff or firing are kidding themselves. Before I left the company I was working for over twenty years I was preparing. I had a Plan A (stay long enough to retire) Plan B looking for another job (sending out application, resumes, and doing interviews), Plan C looking for another Job (sending out application, resumes, and doing interviews). I turned down a couple of jobs during this processing hanging on to the current gig. Luckily for me I was able to hang on to my job and make it to retirement and got a small pension when I left (yes, I actually had a pension). I was lucky but I was preparing all the time. I was not afraid to make a jump if need be. I was a cheerleader for the company but I was secretly anti corp. I nearly torpedoed myself once when I told a fellow employee my philosophy and he narced on me to a supervisor, Because I was a member of a union they just warned me not to discuss things with my fellow employee while on the clock. Once, they had my retirement notice in hand they just left me alone until the clock ran out. Again I was very lucky but I was still prepared if my luck ran out.

I left a previous permanent job over 8 years ago and pretty much worked as an agency worker for for 7 years, until I took a permanent job a year ago. I initially said I would never go back to permanent work because I have little faith in job security. But I kind of took this one reluctantly because of work shortages due to the pandemic, but I often said to my colleague that I'm unable to view any 'permanent' job as actually permanent. I just don't trust the idea of a secure job anymore.
Anyway, just last month we found out the company was really suffering and has been taken over by another giant; and all of us 70+ workers are being made redundant (that's our entire warehouse). And most other warehouses around the country will be having a percentage of staff cut: Worldwide the cuts go into the thousands.
Thankfully, because of my mentality, I had been saving money like a Mo Fo this whole year because, well, you just never know. When we found out the bad news of the company's struggles, supervisors and managers were telling us " don't worry, your particular jobs will not be affected ", and I was thinking, 'say what you want, I don't believe promises'; and here we are now, out on the road. If I was skeptical before, I'm much worse now and will never ever view ANY future job as 'permanent'.

I still voice it to raise awareness but I am so beat and it's all just getting worse. I wish I had been able to find a way to make an income while speaking this truth so I truly admire this guy. is processing hanging on to the current gig. Luckily for me I was able to hang on to my job and make it to retirement and got a small pension when I left (yes, I actually had a pension). I was lucky but I was preparing all the time. I was not afraid to make a jump if need be. Every remaining employee should start looking for another job and jump ship ASAP. Let the company fail simply by having no employees left.
