A charming new hack by TygerbugGarrett and Brooklyn Williams that removes the foul clown Ronald McDonald and his filthy McDonald's lackeys from Donald Land (Famicom, 1988) and replaces them with Raggedy Ann and her friends. Nice job on the rom-hack, Garret. I've had thoughts of a Raggedy Ann & Andy video game as well a while back.
you know... seeing this makes me think this WAS going to be a rageddy ann game at one point but the license was expired and was replaced with the mcdonalds one.
that's how good this hack looks.
This has to be one of the last Raggedy Anne products they made because it has all the references.

Who designed the cartoony versions of the characters from the musical? They're really well done.
The character graphics were a 50/50 collaboration between Garrett Gilchrist and Brooklyn Williams. Brooklyn designed General D, mostly designed Wolf, and half-designed Bat (along with designing King Koo Koo, Grampa, the Ghost Rats, the Shooting Star, and many others). We've gone into more detail about this on Tumblr.
Thanks! I was pushing to make all three of them more animal than their onstage costumes, which took some finagling given space restrictions. The clown doctors made it in there too, I had based mine off the replaced sprites and Garrett later made them taller.
