If your blood pressure cup is too small for your arm, it can give you a falsely high blood pressure reading and if the blood pressure cup is too large for your arm, it can give you a falsely low blood pressure reading.
If you look at your blood pressure cuff at home or the blood pressure cuff at your doctor’s office, it will actually give you the size. It will have a range, and that will tell you what size your arm needs to be to properly fit inside the cuff.
In order to measure the circumference of your arm or how long your arm is, you want to take a measuring tape or even just a piece of string and then measure it up against a ruler.
Make sure that the cuff size matches your arm's circumference. If it’s too small or too big, it won’t give an accurate reading and may lead to improper numbers. It is also important to ensure that the blood pressure cuff is positioned correctly on your arm.
The bottom edge of the cuff should be about an inch above your elbow. This will ensure that the cuff is placed over the brachial artery, which is the main artery in your arm where blood pressure is measured.
Remember to sit comfortably with your feet flat on the floor and keep your arm at heart level when taking a blood pressure reading. These factors can also affect the accuracy of your reading. In addition to proper cuff size, it is important to have your blood pressure checked regularly by a healthcare professional. This will ensure accurate and consistent readings over time.
High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, is a common condition that affects many people worldwide. It is often referred to as the "silent killer" because it typically has no symptoms and can lead to serious health complications if left untreated.

This is why people don't like going to the doctor. They can be on medication and not even need it and damaging other points of their body. This is ridiculous

Is it true your arm must be held out perpendicular to your torso during the test for a correct reading?
