I've bought some great lockers this year, in fact 2021 has been my best year yet. But wait until you see this latest locker we picked up... and it only cost us a buck! This one is huge and it's packed with treasures. We are just beginning to dig in, and we're wondering how much we can possibly make on this one. $100,000? $500,000? A million dollars? If there ever was an episode of Locker Nuts you must see, this is it.

No, absolutely do not unwrap the trains. Take the pictures as is and of the seal. Every collector will know. Those aren't items everyday people buy. Those are items collectors are looking for. What a dream unit. This reminds me why I actually stopped watching Unit videos lol
train collectors RARELY care about seals. Back in the day it was standard practice to open the boxes as hobby store owners to check for damage and VERY few guys care about seals in trains suprisingly
@@Shadow0fd3ath24 exactly, no point having a sealed box where the train inside is potentially damaged. I'm no collector, but I'm pretty sure a collector would be able to tell by looking at the pieces whether they're new, well kept or old.
Marklin is a very expensive brand here in Europe. When I collected trains from Marklin, I could only have a power supply, I could never buy a new train. Old computers and parts are also a great find. Lately, the price has jumped a lot, definitely check the value of everything.
P.S. Mavic bags are for bicycle wheels.
The cheaper Marklin lokomotives are like 400-500$ and cheap wagons are 50-150$ and then prices go all the way to the moon.

Congrats! People throw the word luck around when it comes to resale but it really comes down to consistency and ambition. Two qualities you and your wife have.
Märklin is a famous German toy maker best known for model railways. I'm from Germany and the brand is somewhat of a household name. Lots of collectible and valuable train models.

In this storage community there are few as blessed as the two of you and Jebus and Amber and what I appreciate is the humility you all show and the incredible deals you bring us in your auctions. I am so in love with my Judith Ripka chain I bought from you and there will be more I will buy of this I am sure. As a viewer I truly respect what you do, how you manage your channel and how genuine you are. This is what brings you the riches.

My dad is a HUGE train buff with his own layout being built in our backyard. This train stuff was sooooo fun to watch. I cant wait to see what other treasures you find!

I'd definitely get an auction house involved in this once you've gone through it all. There's some real specialist collectables in there.

@@gblargg i don't really believe that. i think that's how the auction house would try to sell you on it. i think you can lose money on items in an auction, you have to pay bigger fees, you won't necessarily get a premium, you are just saving yourself time. the rest isn't guaranteed. i also think it is very interesting that jack hasnt mentioned them since this video. pretty sure he isn't using them and definitely sure he isn't using them to the degree original discussed. i wonder why.......... oh wait no i dont its because of all the things i said earlier
I would not unless i wanted to lose 30% of it on top of not getting top dollar on everything and taxes.

The red diesel locomotive is what they have in Europe. I would find a reputable train collector and ask about unwrapping those $800 trains and the G Bush licomotive. Locomotives, rail cars are big in Europe, that's where all the big loco manufacturers are.
This is going to be so much fun! I hope the rain doesn't delay the progress.

I think Jenna's estimate is going to win here if the rest of this unit is anywhere close to what we've seen so far. This unit is incredible.

Jenna, slow down. Look at what you're pulling out. Many times there are smaller items on top. It would be horrible to find a box of expensive items crashed on the floor. I know it is really exciting but take a deep breath. You'll be glad you did.

You won't need to take things like the trains out of the packaging to photograph and sell them. Just show the markings on the box, the train nuts will know exactly what is under the plastic wrap.
Yeah but my worry is that we'll sell it, and someone with a used train will claim that we sold them a used train, keep our brand new one and return it. This has been an issue for me in the past, with a vintage video game I sold.

@@LockerNuts, then only sell on your auctions or contact a train hobby shop and see about putting an ad up in their store! I would not put the brand new items up on ebay as that is a common and troubling issue with some buyers on there! 😔

@@miltonkuter1836 I wish eBay worked that way, but if you sell on their platform then you must accept returns. And if for some reason you were able to deny a return, and the customer paid via PayPal, they would simply get a refund through PayPal, they have six months to do so.

Jack, That is a Bernina Sewing Machine. I’m guessing 830 or 801. Swiss made. Major collectors of this brand even for parts of you cannot test it. Shoot high even on FB Marketplace $200-$500+.

The quality of the collectibles in this locker mean they have a bigger selling price with the original box included. Please save them until you find the missing items.

I think that this person had a "Hobby/Specialty Store" perhaps. That the items were merchandise for the store.
That might explain the multiples and why there are boxes of catalogs and books.

not just a collector, but a reseller. assuming he knew what he was doing, I bet a lot of this stuff has increased significantly in value over the original prices on the invoices.
Some of it has appreciated, and some has depreciated surprisingly. I'm learning a lot, researching it all, and it's fun. Some of it is quite rare and seems to have gone up in value quite a bit.
I'm laughing because when she was brushing dust off I actually blowed on my screen to help haha

You should put all the collectables in a specialist auction. There will be more people interested in it therefore more bids. We have them in UK not sure what vintage auctions over there but you want to get it all catalogued and to as many people as you can 😁😁😁 GREAT HAUL ❤️❤️❤️🏴🏴🏴
This was so cool, I predict you’re going to make six figures on the trains alone. My grandfather collected trains he build an addition on his garage so he could build his city he also had a train track hanging from the ceiling with a functional training on it. It was a blast when I was a little girl. Keep us posted on what you get for the trains❤️

If you have seen the Nationwide Commercial with Peyton Manning where he has the huge scale model of Peytonville, I think this gentleman had the same dream. He was just going to build it around the railroads. This would have been a one of a kind Museum quality build. Kind of ashamed he never got to see his dream. Great find!!!

There is an Apple I computer up for auction, estimated to be about $400-600k. This is the 45th anniversary of Apple. Hopefully you can sell the one there and get some big bucks! After reading about that auction, I had to come back and rewatch this video.

I know people that are collectors that buy multiples of one item. Usually one to play with or use and the other to keep.

I may be behind with this but, those Bosun Heads are very collectable. You will find the full description on the bottom of the bust with its date of manufacture. I have some from 1964, right up till 1987.

Your "We might have to hire somebody!" Isn't a bad idea. Get a storage unit with power and make that your eBay central. In my opinion, these items should be sold on eBay and promoted heavily towards your target buyers. You may want to contact a pro auction house as well

I dont know if anyone has already said it, but keep thr electronic components in those grey bags. They are anti static and keep the parts safe. What as awesome find! Fun to watch

34:34 those London plaster head busts were very popular when I was in the Air Force in the 80s. I bought a bunch of them and still have them on my wall. They are unfired so they are extremely delicate. They range from $15 to $30 buck each depending on condition of course.
I find it so sad that his family didn’t even care to look at the stuff…..I have a basement full of my Dad’s things……I cry when I go through it….it means so much to me. I guess I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum….
Maybe that is why they didn't want it because it would be too sad to look through it. I would think that would be very emotional and overwhelming. Everyone grieves differently. Sorry for your loss :(

Hey Locker Nuts; I reside in Canada, and I will tell you something items in original virgin package intact is worth more than if you unwrap it which by the way proves to the purchaser that it has not been handled or tampered with seals unbroken!
It almost looks like he had a store, I have seen at least 3 different scales of trains and a variety of European to American styles, it would be unusual for a personal collector to be that random. Great Locker, train guys dream.
He either had a store or was a fanatic, this is way beyond collecting, this is bordering the obsesive. We lived near a guy that had over 15.000 pieces of Disney Merchandise in his home, when i was a kid, guy moved due to safety concerns after his name and addres became known, to bad. But he gave me a nice Mickey Mouse gumball machine for X-mas once.

My dad used to collect the heads that you found. They have an actual name, but we just called them Dad’s little men. Christmas and birthday presents were easy for us, except trying to remember which ones he didn’t have. I recall spending $35 for one in 1977 or 1978. When he died each of the four kids got at least one, and I think the step-kids did too. Such memories!
