I'm crying. I never imagined people with disabilities being able to play console video games. This is amazing and touched my heart instantly.
Nintendo had a cool head controller for the snes which worked for kids in wheelchairs but his is much more functional lol

This is beautiful. Nintendo and Sony should also think about giving game access to everybody. They are humans like us and deserve to have fun times playing video games. And also it's a potential market, everyone win.
I think this adaptive controller can work into other consoles i saw a video that a guy made a special controller to play zelda botw using the adaptive controller
@@ojeejjaaj2112 It's not really impressive now that I think about it, I also saw a video of a person using a DualShock 4 with it's Switch. Though an adaptative controller might be similar if Sony release it (because well, the two consoles are already really similar in their control layout and their overall way to play games), but Nintendo should make their own with the Switch, Nintendo is all about different experiences.
@@ThibautMahringer if it has Bluetooth you only need an usb Bluetooth stick that imitates the accepted controller. There is one for like 30 bucks for switch that lets you play with practically any controller and also has a usb slot so you can also play with a cable. So its pretty easy to make an addapter so you can use this on switch and playstation

As a big PlayStation fan, I'm actually glad that Microsoft made something good for the disabled gamers, because everyone should be able to play and without the Xbox Adaptive Controller, it would be rather unfair for a disabled person. It is truly heart warming to see the video.

Why can’t all boxes be this easy to open
Because society is so used to "normal" people. They never think about how overly complicated a simple task can seem to disabled individuals. Most objects aren't intended to be used by them, therefore they assume everyone is able to open any box (which isn't always completely true, I have a perfectly working body yet some boxes give me a tough time).
it can take me 5 minutes to get into a blister pack, i can't imagine how hard something like that is to someone with limited mobility, i'm really happy that we seem to be moving in the right direction though, i couldn't see a product like this coming out even 15 years ago

Technology is amazing, if everyone in the world would help each other probably it would be another story.
When they revealed this, it made me cry. It makes me so happy to see that it works as well as it does. The people that need this controller are the people that NEED video games the most. You could use this to play a game like Skyrim and live a life that limited mobility would never allow.

People may trash Xbox for this or that reason, but we CAN'T deny how much work they put into accessibility for everyone, including disabled people.
The Xbox adaptive controller is so well thought and entirely customizable, every button can be mapped every possible way and it gives the player the possibility to finally experience a huge library of games.
This video was in my recommended, and even though I do not need this controller, I had been following it’s development for quite awhile. So I thought i’d click on the video to see the review of it, thinking this was a regular old review. I was not disappointed but excited to see that it was 10x better than that. I didn’t get so far as halfway through the video before clicking on the channel and subscribing. What you two do is by far one of the best things i’ve seen on this website. I wish you the best of luck in gaining subscribers and informing the public. I’ll be watching every video over and over again!

If I were to be killed by someone who is wheel chair bound, or even in the condition he is in, I would just completely rethink life and just wonder how someone can be so good at a game that I play "normally". Reminds me of the one guy who uses only his mouth to play video games, people may be disabled, but they will always excell in areas where the " Average" Person possibly doesn't.

I find it amazing that people with disabilities can still enjoy a hobby as complex and fast paced as gaming. It's really a testament to how far we've come, from treating people with disabilities like trash, to treating them with the love and respect they deserve, Even going out of our way to make special products just for them.
Finally a company creates a premium controller for virtually everyone. I hope other companies catch on to this mostly untapped market, because people that can’t do things by normal means would probably give the world for more products out there like this.

This just made me shed a tear of happiness, people can say whatever they want about the Xbox One having a lack of exclusives or being a less powerful machine, if it gives people the opportunity to be able to do something they can't do or have never done before, that alone makes it worth it. Here's to hoping they continue to support the products and release more add ons and make it even better :)

When I was a kid I had a friend with cerebral palsy and could only use one hand on the original Nintendo controller, I would help him with parts of games he couldn't play, although he did get very good with one hand,this is awesome,and brings a smile to my face

Inside the Nurse's office. The one in the wheel chair actually had a really nice gamecube collection. And this was at a nurse's office at a Disabled company. I dont know a better term. My son has Down syndrome. After my girlfriend gave birth to him we tried aborting him but the doctors wouldn’t let us. We then sold him on the dark web for a decent but of money. Props to this guy for keeps his son. Also my wife found out which fucking sucked
I actually know someone with Cerebral Palsy due to several seizures. The sad thing is his medication that he’s allowed to have means he can’t speak but he can communicate without them but this is fantastic to see and I’m going to recommend this for sure. Thanks for bringing light to this for everyone to see

Erj14 They created the trend of making people pay for online. They don't give there players good exclusives, Microsoft made a 500$ console when you can buy a pc with that kind of money.

Erj14 Spend a couple 50-100$ more and you have a pc better than the X and you get more games than Xbox can offer.

I have Xbox one, but i'm going to say this like consumer.
Xbox maked a great innovation and product for other people, something that Sony or Nintendo didn't do yet, actually Microsoft take care of his gamers, more than Nintendo and Sony, no one have something similar at the moment; and i don't think Xbox one is dying. Let me know what do you think😁👇✌️.

You just touched my heart about they have got the controller and who you were working with because that showcased a lot of what Microsoft didn't show the controller and that you actually used somebody friend relative however you used it in a way that showed it to his full potential and I really liked it and it touched my heart so much.
