This time of year is so beautiful when snow is on the ground. Wild camping is so much harder but catching fish and foraging is well worth being out for a couple of nights. I love being near the ocean this time of year, Waiting for the tide to go out then going to the rocks for Mussel,s . and Cockles and other shell fish. Taking them back to the camp-site and starting a fire to cook what i have found. A silent breeze blowing and the gentle swaying of the trees make it worth while. To cook the Shell fish i always use a deep pan and layer the bottom with seaweeds and a little water to steam cook them. I always make sure i have plenty to drink as this is never good not to. Alone i sit with the Owls and creatures of the night. Rest well my friends and stay safe where ever you go or where ever you maybe. I enjoy seeing the unusual looking trees and the rock formations. Looks like Tennessee. The fossils in the campfire rocks remind us that the earth was once covered in water from the great flood in the days of Noah ! This is the best video yet. Great job!
Hi Vanessa .. good to see you with Pauli again 👍😊. A nice little basic equipment overnighter (even with rain .. no fear, the skin is waterproof 😉). Those Sandstone Cliffs are very impressive. The smooth rock shapes look man-made. Yes, the first time also that I have seen a Bumble Bee Nest (their nests are quite small .. up to 400 bees as opposed to Honey Bees Hives of 50 000 bees). Our old equipment .. our faithful old friends. They were with us when we started Bushcrafting .. we must not forget them 😊.

Always a pleasure to watch your videos Vanessa, there are three things I will not compromise concerning weight and pack size, my sleeping bag, a Snugpak Elite 3, my sleep mat, a Thermarest Trail Pro and a 3x3 DD Tarp, having a dry place and a warm comfortable sleep is a must when outside, remember to always have a small sheet/tarp under your sleep mat, a new Tattoo I see Vanessa. What a great wooded adventure Vannessa, that cactus fruit you had to eat , I think we call it a prickly pear fruit in England , it's always worth looking back at old equipment to save money , careful not to use worn things because it's a accident waiting to happen.

I'm amazed at both the size and number of beech trees. Nothing like it where I live. Definitely the biggest ant nest I have ever seen - all pine needles too! Your dachshund is very well behaved and calm - a testament to you. Thanks for a most entertaining

My dad adores your accent because he grew up in germany while his dad was trying to fix things after that thing happened. Bavaria is so beautiful. We love seeing you explore it. Noticed you have a tattoo, but couldn't make out what it was.
