Vanessa, when i was younger, i would pack it all up and take my nieces camping every weekend. Those days are gone for me, but the girls still love the out doors so much. I live those days by watching you enjoy life

Hi Vanessa, I really enjoy coming with you on your camping trips. The wood are so beautiful and so quiet, with no one in sight. Your great love of the outdoors, is such a lovely thing to experience, and learning how you keep safe and find your ideal camping site. It's a shame you have no eggs today, too cold for the chickens! Some very good advice when using an axe to prevent an injury. It's nice to know you can make tea from the needles and they are rich in vitamin C. That's a lovely protective wall you've built, you have good skills, and so much knowledge and respect the area, back as you found it. Hello Vanessa... You speak about the tools make your hands tired. May I offer a little advise. When you use the axe or the saw, hold the tool very loosely and let the tool do the work. If you grip it too tight, your hand will become tired and sore. Believe me, this is true.
Good tip. 👍 I noticed that too. Yep, letting the 'momentum' of the swing of the axe and stroke of the saw blade don't be work by also relaxing the wrist.
'Faster' is not always quicker 😊.

@@thomasmusso1147 I would even say: slower is quicker! About the good move with the axe, it is a combination between the vertical move and the swing of the axe. If the axe hits the wood at the perfect momentum of these two moves, it takes almost no energy to do the work.
Work cutting tools that are starting to blunt will take 2 or 3 times as long to do your job and will make you tired extremely fast , so always check your work cutting edge stay very sharp..
Adrien Barbier ... for sure. Good to remember the adage, ‘Haste makes waste’. A misdirected axe could slow you down significantly.

Our chickens are the same, turned winter and cold and boom, no eggs! You sure get used to fresh eggs, even in summer, no refrigeration needed. Great video, stay beautiful!

As always, great video! Something to consider.......a pair of leather work gloves will protect your hands when you are working with the saw and axe. They also save your hands when working with wood for bushcraft projects or hot objects at meal prep. You hands will thank you as you get older. It's enjoyable to see you appreciate your time in the bush, and you always have something to share that enlightens us watchers. Thank you
