Yes, I am too. Only discovered these videos a couple of days ago. I love this couple, so natural, warm, intelligent and interesting. Think I'm becoming addicted to them!
Watching these older videos, I can see how Eric has matured and is more respectful of Kyde. That is a very strong testament to your bond with each other.
Didn't expect to watch the whole thing, you guys have a good thing going with these videos. Very entertaining, great way to pass some time before knocking off for bed after a long day. Thanks!
Thoroughly enjoyed the massive video on your eating habits. I think most of us viewing this wonder what day to day eating would be like in another country. Thanks for taking the time and effort to produce this.
I love your videos. You and Kyde are so down to earth. I am unable to travel to Japan and live there for awhile so I enjoy watching your videos and enjoying Japan through them!
I like the music at the end. It reminded me of Christmas music a bit. Great video and now I want to eat Japanese food more than ever wanted too before...Thanks again for sharing :)
Love watching your videos, this particular one has given me some ideas of what to stuff in my suitcase to take back home when I finally visit Japan later this year. Any other snack foods (easy to transport!) you guys love and would suggest trying? :)
About your oolong tea, you need to first soak it in a bit of hot water for a few seconds than dump this "first brew" off, it washes away the dust and other not so good things off, than start brewing your full cup of tea. Next don't soak the tea leaves too long, as too much theophylline starts to come out and that ruin the taste a bit. You can keep your brew of tea in refrigerator over night, but never with the tea leaves still in it. You'll get stomach ache if you do.
the travel vids are great but we really do enjoy the "living in japan"... and the "whats going on with us" vids! when does Kyde do her week of eats???? oh and a tour of the new apartment!
Hi Yifei, hope things are good for you guys. We will be making a video of the new apartment once we have a chance to get everything placed and cleaned up! Next weekend, hopefully! -Eric
Thanks Eric & Kyde, realy enjoyed watching... I noticed a large difference how Japan has changed since I lived there years ago, the food still looks realy realy good & there's so many more varieties
Bear toast. Anyways I just wanted to say that I really like your guys videos. I don't what it is, and it's not a bad thing, but every time I watch a video, it makes me smile. Keep it up. BEAR TOAST!!
you should put at the end of all your videos in the future the train station music. other youtube showed me, every train station has his own music. this so cool.
This is one of the first times to watch your videos for me, and this was weirdly interesting. I'd like to see more of these or others to do with food you can find in Japan :)
Wow, I watched the entire thing and enjoyed every minuets of it! I wonder what this fascination is. I guess we are curious about what other people eating. I wish 7eleven of my neighborhood could carry foods like those.
nice vid eric kyde. i was a bit shocked when i bought bread there too lol 8 pcs?? you have to admit they do have a ton of stuff you'd never see anyplace else. i can say i miss the cc lemon drink. i was drinking that instead of water due to getting sick from water at one point while there the second time. keep em coming you two and thanks for sharing....steve
Watching your vlog makes me remind of my trip to Tokyo two years ago. Although food in Taipei, Taiwan (my hometown) is great, I still can't seem to forget the taste of that in Japan. Authenticity I guess, cause ramen in Taipei still tastes different than ramen in Japan. All the best, can't wait for the next video!
Hey guys! :) First off, you guys seem very cool and your videos are very openhearted. Eric I just wanted to say, that I learned in IB Sports Science and Nutrition that eating the same foods everyday sort of trains your body to not absorb as much of its nutrients after a while! Scary stuff :o Please be aware of this, both of you guys!! Thank you for reading it!!
This has become one of my fave videos since I've eaten at several of the places you guys did and it was great to see them again. The Coco Curry place is always a must hit for me and I discovered Yayoiken last year as they had one just outside my hotel in Asakusa. Totally agree with Kyde on the merits of tonkatsu as that's what I had there. One thing I wanted to ask you guys about is your food budget as you made frequent mentions of what you consider cheap or expensive. If you haven't made a video on this topic yet, can you do one where you talk about it. I'm assuming you guys combine your incomes from your jobs so I'm trying to compare it to how a single person like me would do a budget for Japan. Hope this doesn't sound like I'm trying to get to personal. Thanks again for the great video.
We have no idea what our food budget is. We try not to spend a lot of money, that's basically our budget for everything. Sometimes we fail miserably. -Eric
lol wtf.. if you look at greek food, italian, indian... you would know Japan is pretty far down there.. just a lot of raw fish and rice... Don't get me wrong I love rice but it's pretty bland compared to most countries in terms of food. I would rank Japan as the #1 country to visit... but don't kid yourself it's not for the food. - My opinion
All of those foods made me salivate quite a lot ! I do miss those dishes, so It was nice watching the video, on a nostalgic side. And I usually describe Calpis as a very thin and watery natural yogurt with sugar soft-drink. I really love it but it's quite high on calories. Thanks for sharing the video !
I love your new video I was so hungry just to see you guys eat. I really admired you working so hard and also got sometime for make this informative videos. I am also so proud of you for better your self with the Japanese classes the you're taking. You guys are amazing. God bless you.
I think Japanese people only eat bread as an alternative to Japanese staple foods like Miso soup and onigiri, that's why its so expensive. Also the chicken with the hat is part of the Rilakuma range, it is called Kiiroitori.
Im glad you guys are back in Japan. I miss it so much! Do you ever have the fried chicken bento at 711? I lived in Hamamatsu Shi in Shizuoka for a year but also Tokyo in Ropongi at first for a while and Hiroshima. I traveled in all directions there so if you need reports on places to go that you have not been to yet please let me know and I will be glad to help. Im a big fan! Dale
Thanks Dale! We have less time than we wish we had for traveling around Japan right now, it's a bummer! We already have a extensive list of places we want to go, the last time I need to do is make it longer! Thanks though! -Eric
Very interesting video. If possible, even if every once in a while, it would be cool if new things you try (food, snacks, etc) could be uploaded with your your little opinions/thoughts on them :p
ALOE YOGURT? I didn't even know you can eat aloe! Isn't that the stuff you put on burns? I'm with Kyde. I hate bits too. Mmm, stir fry! I'm just happy to see Eric eating and doing well again!
In Brazil we have 6 types of banana: Little-bit-Banana (that one you had on Monday) a little one Apple-Banana (small but chubby banana, really weird, almost totally round XD and really smooth pulp) Silver-Banana ('normal size' ones) Earth-Banana (a really DAMN BIG and hard, kinda "flowery" pulp, used for making desserts) Gold-Banana (almost the same as the "Apple-Banana" but mlre flavoured.)
Really interesting, so glad your stomach issues are over! Aloe water is really popular in the US now, sometimes called chunky water,I'm sure you'd love it!
You guys ever go to Sukiya? I went there so often for breakfast or lunch during my month in Japan. It was in February, so a hot gyuudon was amazing for waking up. Tried Yoshinoya too but didnt find it as good.
I like watching your videos because it makes me feel like I have friends.
Hahahaa. : )
🤣🤣🤣 Comment of the year back then in 2015🤣🤣🤣

Watching these older videos, I can see how Eric has matured and is more respectful of Kyde. That is a very strong testament to your bond with each other.
Didn't expect to watch the whole thing, you guys have a good thing going with these videos. Very entertaining, great way to pass some time before knocking off for bed after a long day. Thanks!

Moral of the video: Eric needs his bits.
Real talk right here.
"I like stuff in my stuff"
Eeee awesome to see another video so soon!!
Not sure why I'm watching this in 2021! 😂 But do miss that intro song!
I don't know why, but l love it when Eric says the word "bits" throughout this video
+Kyde and Eric Dat bear toast tho!!!
Bear Toast deserves a meme! Can't help smiling every time I see it. Nice videos!
Thoroughly enjoyed the massive video on your eating habits. I think most of us viewing this wonder what day to day eating would be like in another country. Thanks for taking the time and effort to produce this.
You're welcome! -Eric
"Son of a bitch" lol
Seeing the out-to-eat shots really puts into perspective how gigantic American meals are! I am totally hungry now!
Yea, American portion sizes are out of control for sure! -Eric
I eat my curry/soup like Katie. I love the "blob" and then the rice gets SO FLAVORFUL
So cool video about your daily life. Watching this gave me the perfect start for the day. :) thank you!
You're welcome! -Eric
Thanks for the video. Enjoyed it alot!
Just have fun! We love you guys!
You guys have the funniest thumbnails!
I love your videos. You and Kyde are so down to earth. I am unable to travel to Japan and live there for awhile so I enjoy watching your videos and enjoying Japan through them!
+Icy Twilight Thanks so much! Happy to hear you get to enjoy little parts of Japan with us! -E
I like the music at the end. It reminded me of Christmas music a bit. Great video and now I want to eat Japanese food more than ever wanted too before...Thanks again for sharing :)
That's the Kumagaya train station music! -Eric
THIS VIDEO IS AWESOME
Haha I like the thumbnail to this video, fits perfectly!
Love watching your videos, this particular one has given me some ideas of what to stuff in my suitcase to take back home when I finally visit Japan later this year. Any other snack foods (easy to transport!) you guys love and would suggest trying? :)
Cool vid! I second or third the motion for a Kyde 'eats for a week' video!
Eric you should make another one of these! Or have Kyde do one, so interesting
Great vid! Makes me miss Japan so much!
Very interesting video! Glad to see Eric not on deaths bed. Next is Kyde going to a "Everything Kyde Eats?"
Everything Kyde Eats for a Week next please.
Love the long videos guys :) keep them up! Would rather watch them then a movie
+Matts Reptiles Awesome to hear! -Eric
Happy Birthday Kyde!!
Thanks! -Kyde
I loved this. And any time food is in your videos, it reminds me to eat smaller portions.
Hah, yea, eat less! -Eric
great videos.
Everytime I hear Eric say "It tastes like chemicals" 😂 I feel like he is tasting bleach
About your oolong tea, you need to first soak it in a bit of hot water for a few seconds than dump this "first brew" off, it washes away the dust and other not so good things off, than start brewing your full cup of tea. You can keep your brew of tea in refrigerator over night, but never with the tea leaves still in it. You'll get stomach ache if you do.
Ahh, cool! We had no idea how to make it for real. -Eric
the travel vids are great but we really do enjoy the "living in japan"... and the "whats going on with us" vids! when does Kyde do her week of eats???? oh and a tour of the new apartment!
Glad you enjoyed it! -Eric
Kyde needs to make a week of meals video now. I wish there was the variety of food near where I live like you have Eric.
Yea, we are lucky...but I still miss mexican food.
Bear toast. Anyways I just wanted to say that I really like your guys videos. I don't what it is, and it's not a bad thing, but every time I watch a video, it makes me smile. Keep it up. BEAR TOAST!!
Awesome, we are spreading smiles! We love hearing that! -Eric
Would love to see another video like this or a day in a life video!
You are in luck! ua-cam.com/video/JHI0GWD4JM4/v-deo.html
Oh wait, I'm not clear if you had already seen that or not. haha. -E
This is my favorite video from you guys. Can you make one every year lol
Haha, maybe I'll make another one sometime. Things don't change that much, to be honest. Haha. -E
That Minneola Tangelo(4383) was *tiny*. Clemetine-sized. Most US ones are tennis-ball-sized and have "outies."
you should put at the end of all your videos in the future the train station music. other youtube showed me, every train station has his own music. this so cool.
This was great! You and Kyde got along so good!
Ronald Brasher Thanks! -Eric
Awesome video guys.

How did I not notice this till now?!
Another cool video. Thanks for sharing.
No problem! -Eric
New apartment, new video of What Eric Eats for a Week Now?
It'd be pretty boring at this point, I think. All I really eat is curry rice, hahaha. -E
@@kydeanderic I rewatch your older vlogs sometimes. It's fun to see what has changed. Or not.
This is one of the first times to watch your videos for me, and this was weirdly interesting. I'd like to see more of these or others to do with food you can find in Japan :)
Thanks! We have a playlist of Japanese food on our UA-cam channel if you are still interested. -Eric
"An Apple" so Artsy and minimal video.
Wow, I watched the entire thing and enjoyed every minuets of it! I wonder what this fascination is. I guess we are curious about what other people eating. I wish 7eleven of my neighborhood could carry foods like those.
Thanks, glad you liked it. We love 7-11s here, obviously. -Eric
If I can't experience Japanese food culture, watching it is the next best thing.
Try to make some at home! Check out Cooking with Dog on UA-cam! -Eric
The banana juice packaging is identical to baby food packaging here in Canada!! Lol
I thought this was posted 6 days ago (curse you algorithms!) and got excited bc I thought the old opening sequence song is back 🤣

You missed probably the best opportunity you will ever have to say "That is a tasty burger!"
HAhaha
Best vid cap ever, let's have eric try the chubby bunny challenge!
Hey guys! :) First off, you guys seem very cool and your videos are very openhearted. The Food ;)
Yes.

Tyrone Biggums If you think it's just "raw fish and rice" it's possible you don't know much about Japanese food.
Kyde and Eric
Couldn't have said it better^^
Another awesome video !!
Thanks!
I am so glad you're eating again lol
Me too. -Eric
All of those foods made me salivate quite a lot ! I do miss those dishes, so It was nice watching the video, on a nostalgic side. No prob! Can you get Calpis at home? -Eric
I wish. I drank a lot of them when I was in Japan. Then i switched to Pocari Sweat and Boss :P
I LOVE pickled stuffs too
Bits!
Great video. Thanks for sharing and taking the time to edit it together. Very interesting.
Thanks so much! Glad you found us! -E
8 slices! When I lived there, six was the maximum (though I did see them slice those in half and make 12 once)

I'm just happy to see Eric eating and doing well again!
Aloe is so good! I don't think I'd eat it out of the tube for burns though....-Eric
Eric, I'm so glad to see that you listen to against me! Freaking sweeeet
meyer saari Yea, actually....Kyde turned me onto them years ago! -Eric
I think you could run a food tour outfit. So many awesome eats. "What did you see in Japan?" "Ummm, the food was amazing!"
oneroarmouse haha! I will think about setting that up! -Kyde

how much did you spend on your typical week? for such a big guy, you caloric intake should probably be double everything.
This video made me hungry...
Kyde's turn next!
Really interesting, so glad your stomach issues are over! Aloe water is really popular in the US now, sometimes called chunky water,I'm sure you'd love it!
Oh wow, I'd try that! -Eric
16:57 it sounds like you're describing Fresca?
26:02 is there a strategy behind rolling the ham? I've seen ham folded and stuff but never rolled.
I love Kyde. I feel like if I lived in Japan Kyde and I would be homies !
Yea, she's awesome! -Eric
You guys ever go to Sukiya? I went there so often for breakfast or lunch during my month in Japan. It was in February, so a hot gyuudon was amazing for waking up. Tried Yoshinoya too but didnt find it as good.
+aiklund Haha, yea! Their cheese gyudon is on point!! -Eric
Have you guys done a video on your new apartment? It looks like a leopalace with the loft and all.
Not yet, but the apartment in this video is our old apartment, we moved a week ago today. -Eric
I thought that's what I thought that was
"Katsu Don baby!" yeah :)
