- Japanese New Year's food or Osechi carries both the meaning of an offering to the deities of New Year's, as well as a dish eaten to wish for a family's prosperity. Over time, osechi has grown to include many delicious modern dishes. In today's video, I'll share with you a grand feast of over 50 items. Get Some!

On one hand you see people serving you bowing you you feel the service there, on the other hand at the same time you have to bow to your bosses, to your business partners to anyone you encounter that has a high social rank, what do you think about that?
@@_cherly5097 I don’t quite understand what you’re trying to say, but I have never bowed to my boss, business partner or anyone else for that matter. Here in the UK we only really bow/curtsy for Royalty.
@@georgia19801 I’m talking in Japan. You get the premium service as a customer, but you are a slave in the society if you work in any capacity in Japan.

Japan hasn't changed much..loved the formal opening of the department store! My mothers first job was an elevator girl at Saikaya in Yokosuka.
The kimono, food, and entertainment is great! I love how orderly everything is from the shopping to the food presentation to the preciseness of the kimono. I wish you a Happy New Year, Eric!

The Lunar New Year's celebration for the Year of the Rabbit takes place on January 22, 2023.
Japanese have osechi, I have 12 hour slow cooked pork loin in sauerkraut with mashed potatoes.

Love both the class and variety of where you are. Can you imagine any store in the US where someone comes out and pays respect to customers by bowing before opening? And 50 items? Hey Eric, got a spare bed? Happy New Year to you!

Excellent video Eric happy new year to you and your family. Loved the fast juggling with the Orange's. I don't think I would enjoy those Bento boxes. Too much fish for me. If you want to know what a pine tree taste like drink a bottle of Alpine lager.

🐇Happy New Year Eric & family! I'll watch this later when I've more time. If I hadn't been cleaning my filthy oven, I'd have caught this.
Edit: I've now finished cleaning my oven; I bought myself a duck and prepared duck l'orange last evening, something I haven't cooked since I was in my twenties; that's 40 years ago & I forgot about the duck fat splatter 🤦♀️😅
I've decided that when I visit Japan, I'm going to aim for spending New Years there so I can enjoy Osechi with whomever I go with.
The presentation and the variety of food really appeal to me, it's been my dream to visit for over 40 years, maybe even longer.
I'll stop here. I often write too much, like now lol

The 👘 look nice with the new years gift 🍱 the only other color i have seen it is red. first time seeing edible gold in a🍶 bottle you must have been saving up for several months for the special occasion 😁👍you could never have enough wasabi on something that is very fishy some people put a little red chili in the dipping sauce on the side 😀✌️❤️
