I don't think I've subscribed to a channel in years, and usually find person-centric channels to be annoying....but you're breaking the mould! Subbed. I think I've watched like 40 of these in the last couple weeks. Very entertaining and even informative videos! Man Japan looks cozy. Please never stop making these! It's very rare to have a personal UA-cam channel hosted by legitimately likable and enthusiastic people like you guys. Also...Canadian: never seen one of those condiment packages before, but now I wish we had them.
That cheese container contraption (3:35) looks like an amazingly brilliant design! They should use it here for places that use honey in those dumb plastic cubes. You can't easily get it all out. Yours looks like it would be able to squeeze all the content out cleanly with no waste!
So glad your better Eric and Kyde! I say that above any of the videos you made! This has made my day. You travel so much it's one of the things I worry about. Your being safe in all ways. God Bless you both
It's great to see you guys are still kicking. Glad your getting better. I'm not having such a good start to 2014 either. All I tell my self is things will be back to normal soon grin and bare it.
You guys ARE fun, especially at McDonald's. I've missed you. Hey Eric... Is that you playing bass ??? If so...awsome!!! Bangin mustard!!!? Yeah mon, !!! Good Fun, thank you guys for being u.
Awesome guys, So great to see you're still in the world of the living. ^_^ Mmmmm, I went through the same thing in Mexico city. McDonalds was the first thing I ate in days there. Unfortunately, my Mc Chickeny thingy had some suspicious bone/beak in the first bite.. but I had to keep eating!!
I remember the container for the cheese being used in a smaller form in the original Lunchables when they used to come with a dijon mustard packet. I miss when they used to give those.
Glad to hear you guys are feeling better! Poor Eric looks like he's wasted away to nothing! Go on a restaurant hopping spree, recording it all of course :P. Can't wait to see your Myanmar videos, completely understandable why they are not up yet. Your health is much more important, hope you are taking it easy!
I know the first thing I think of when I think 50's diners is peppery egg burgers - yum ! :P How does one get in the postcard club? Sounds like fun. Great to see you guys back and better.
I just had to tell you how much I enjoy your videos. They are so entertaining . I live in the U. S. and I was wondering if you still had the postcard club going on? I would love to join in if you are.
+Michele Baker Hi, happy to hear you enjoy the videos! We do still have the postcard club, it is a part of our Patreon campaign. www.patreon.com/kydeanderic -E
Ok Thank You so much for letting me know where to find your Patreon Page. I will take a look at it. I just wanted to let you know how I came to find your videos on You Tube. On January 1, 2015. I decided to try to learn something new everyday. Well my starting point was Japan. To learn something new about Japan. Well needless to say It has been over a year now and Japan has so much to offer that I am still learning about Japan everyday. So one day I happened upon your videos. Thank You so much and keep up with the great videos. Maybe someday I will be able to visit Japan.. Take Care Kyde and Eric.
Very cool idea to actively learn something new every day! I have been in Japan for almost 5 years and I think I learn something new about it everyday too! -E
We do have cheddar-dip to dip your fries in, at McDonald's in sweden. We also got our own burger-chain in sweden, called Max, and there you can get a dip called melt cheese, that is exactly like that was puted on the fries in the video, but here you dip the fries in it.
03:12 Just letting you know that we have those packets in Australia. I have seen them with tomato and tartar sauce inside. No mess while putting sauce on a sausage roll...great idea :)
welcome back to japan:)) i wanted to watch the movie in Myanmer, though... i understand situation of you guys'... i hope i would see you guys in musashiurawa..haha
that kind of container was developed in the US 20 something years ago or so but it is more expensive to make that the condiment packets that it replaces so fast food companies in the US never adopted it. I remember watching news program about a food products research company and the one handed condiment package was one of the things they were touting as the future of fast food.
The only time I remember seeing a white sauce with such texture and color was in some kebab shops in Switzerland, on a kebab it is unbelievably good. It has a garlicy flavor and if not in excess its really really good. I dont know if it is the same kind of sauce but it looks very similar. I dont remember its name, can or cannot be the same sauce :/
Ya know what I'd do to counteract your guys's japanese rubber bacon fiasco ?!?!?.. when ordering a sandwich at mcdonalds in japan . . . ask them to over cook your bacon! I bet it'll come out great.. Eric I'm still shocked at the look of some of the bacon on your alls sandwiches.. its like it gets shipped to them and they think that thats it and its done and ready to add to sandwiches, from one fellow bass player to another.. cheers brother!. I say brother because I know u always respond to youtube comments :), cheers!!!
Firstly, let me say this is an absolutely great video, start to finish .. I loved it. I am watching it over again this evening as I adore the commentary and banter .. I'm smiling. Now, I want to tell the Mc Donald's Japan that they "over" worked, over engineered .. in other words went "above and beyond" what would have really represented the fifties in a diner somewhere along Route 66 .. let's say the year 1959 with a flashing neon sign in the window saying "good food" along with the necessary gingham diner curtains.. The fries at that diner would have had salt .. period. The burger possibly some cheese, maybe a chip pickle or two and the bun likely plain. There would probably not be lettuce or any kind of honey condiment. No additional dressings or sauces. No instructions or forks or chicken. I'm just saying, less in the Japanese nutritionist's Mc Donald's 50's plan ... a more stripped down entree and fries .. would have represented the bare bones burger, fries and Cola somewhere on the Arizona border next to the "Rest Well Motel .. and Cafe" .. I loved this video. Five Stars. thx.
I wanna see Japanized Mexican food! I think that would be a hoot! I'm also debating on sending you money to eat at Jiro's... It would be a hoot to see the old guy deal with ya two. You guys are good kids! I'm glad I found ya! :)
You know, we know a reasonably legit texmex burrito place in Tokyo. It's a bit like Moe's if you've ever been there. Mexican food exists here, but it's really not common. It's a shame because I love that stuff. I want to open a burrito stand here, I think with a decent location it'd make bank. Hah, I'd be worried going to Jiros. I have my doubts they'd be OK with us making a video there, and to be honest I'm not sure my pallet is refined enough to appreciate his cooking. -Eric
Kyde and Eric You may have something there. A burrito truck, with authentic Cal-mex burritos would, I assume, become popular and quick! COME ON..Who doesn't like a burrito? You could use the small flour tortillas (Japanese size) and sell them for 350 Yen! Dude, could you imagine a Tonkatsu burrito!!!!!??? Nice to meet ya Eric! :)
Kyde and Eric -I did not eat it but a co-worker of mine visited Tokyo about 6 months ago and ate it. I bet that it was a "limited" menu item. He said that he really enjoyed it! :)
I freaking love you guys so much. So glad you're not sick anymore, Eric. Love your McD's videos too. I think real classic 50's American would be just straight up Coca-cola and not that fancy flavor stuff that got invented way later. They got the visual style right on the cups. The cheese fries looked disappointing and again, that's not real classic 50's diner fare. Probably the best thing they could've done would be a classic Big Mac, fries, and coke or ice-cream soda/float or milkshake to go with that. Also, to make it truly authentic like in the 50's in the USA, there would be a separate entrance for black people. (That's not a racist joke, just reminding people that we used to not have civil rights here for everyone.... )
Oh ya, I've heard there are still a few bath houses around that have "no gaijins allowed" signs because some people don't want to bathe with foreigners that aren't fully down with the way you're supposed to use the baths.
Mcdonalds just got Poutine here in Canada... it was pretty good actually. Most fast food places have it, Wendys got it maybe... just over a year ago... and now Mcdonalds finally got it. When i first saw the fries i was like OH! maybe its like our poutine.. .. ... its not
Eric looks like he has lost so much weight! I'm very glad to hear that you guys are feeling better. Kyde, kick that bug in the butt and feel better-er! I can't wait to see more of you guys! Signed, Your humble fan girl/follower. PS, Eric, you're awesome but kyde, I wuv you. You're my lady crush.
heated Easy Cheese on fries, hrmm. They recently brought real cheese fries to the states as an option to the ever growing menu, and they're 50/50 subjective to whom made the fries. Seems they're always soggy and mildly warm, or cold and brick-like.
We actually tried those cheesy fries when we were there, i also got the shrimp burger lol I'm so sad i wasn't able to meet you guys :( but it's also great to know that you guys are healthy. I'm actually doing a vacay vlog, once I upload the part where we ate the stew ice cream, i'll let you know in case you wanna see it :)
Eric, I already uploaded 2 vlogs. Those were when we were in the Philippines, no Japan stuff yet lol but if you want to see a bit of philippines, please do watch :)
What does McDonald means to you? What does McDonald mean to American culture? It seems you two visit McDonald quite a lot, perhaps because it is one of the more familiar American connection in a foreign land.
Hah, we actually never eat McDonald's in the states. We don't really eat it much here either, maybe a couple times a month and mostly because it's interesting to try the all the odd burgers they make. Plus we don't have many restaurants near our house and our work schedules are too crazy for us to go anywhere else for dinner. It's not that McDonald's "means" something to us, we just find it fun. -Eric
To be fair it was for the entire set. It's so funny how some people tell is that $8 is super cheap but others think it's expensive. It really depends on where you live, I guess. -Eric
Hi:) I'm a vegetarian, and i wonder if its okay to eat meat when i travel to Japan (2 weeks). It looks like its very much meat there, of am I wrong? I allso want to eat EVERYTHING that you ate. Sorry for bad english.
Bomseboms It's not impossible to be a vegetarian in Japan, but it's tricky. Most things have a little bit of meat in them. If you are willing to eat fish that can help as there is tons of seafood. People have entire blogs dedicated to being vegetarian in Japan, have a google search to see some! -Eric
The fries look like bootleg chili cheese fries lol Like if you explained it to someone but never showed it to them then this abomination would be born lol
So I just saw this Jimmy Fallon clip about a review of the McRib sandwich: ua-cam.com/video/ocuL96syBJ8/v-deo.html ... and of course I immediately thought of the two of you. It would be a metric ton of awesome if you could get him to fly to Japan and do a cameo with you in a review! :8)
In my humble opinion, McDonald's Japan is just trying a tad too hard with Japan-only fast-food items in order to compete against MOS Burger and Lotteria. The results have been a bit mixed, to say the least.
Im so sorry, i didn't mean to sound snotty if i did? I saw this new one and i thought i missed something. I swear my UA-cam gets screw up big time! Some times one some one post a video it goes in double? I get to of the same one? Weird, or the video plays and stops , plays and stop! Ugh.. thank's for the video's and sorry you were sick : (
Haha, no problem! I didn't mean to come off harsh, sorry. It can be a pain to follow things on youtube, that's a real issue we are worried about to be honest. Oh well, not much we can do. -Eric
you guy seem really cool but how the hell are you guys not having health problems yet lol. i know you said at the beginning you get colds and stomach bugs or whatever but damn i'd be road kill if i ate that way. i haven't eaten mcdonald's in 2 years and GOD I MISS IT BUT…. if i went back to eatin it i think i'd feel just as shitty as i used to :/
Hah, I think our videos make it seem like we eat at McDonald's a lot more than we actually do. I might eat there once a month, perhaps a bit more if they have a few special burger I want to make a video of, but it's nowhere near a daily (or even weekly) thing. Kyde eats there even less than I do.-Eric
Kyde and Eric thanks for the answer!! lol What do you guys normally eat on a daily basis? just curious. i also can't believe they have 7/11 there. who knew.
I actually shot a video of everything I ate for an entire week recently, it'll be live on our youtube channel in a couple of weeks. 7/11 is owned by a Japanese company these days, btw. Haha. -Eric
Check out "Eat your Kimchi" channel if you haven't yet! They are my Korean, UA-cam liaisons for culture I can't yet experience first-hand. I'm dubbing y'all (Texan here) my Japanese liaisons. Cheers!
+Kyde and Eric My world was just rocked, & of all people to tell me too! Well I suppose this opens the door for y'all possibly running into each other at the very least! Love the channel at this point, keep it up guys ^_^-b
I don't think I've subscribed to a channel in years, and usually find person-centric channels to be annoying....but you're breaking the mould! Subbed. that cheese dispenser contraption is cool...
Specialty burgers, figuring out what sauces are, and floppy bacon. Classic Kyde & Eric fast food review 👌 Love it
That cheese container contraption (3:35) looks like an amazingly brilliant design! They should use it here for places that use honey in those dumb plastic cubes. You can't easily get it all out. Yours looks like it would be able to squeeze all the content out cleanly with no waste!
That cheese dispenser looks flippin awesome. The Japanese are so innovative with these things. Pity about the "cheese" inside though
Great update! So glad you guys are feeling better.
The long necked and muscle llamas made me laugh.
Thanks for taking that shot Eric.
i started watching your blogs recently, and i'm so addicted! both of you have a very casual and friendly air about you
Awesome, thank you! -Eric
So glad your better Eric and Kyde! I say that above any of the videos you made! This has made my day. You travel so much it's one of the things I worry about. Your being safe in all ways. God Bless you both
Don't worry, it always works out! -Eric
It's great to see you guys are still kicking. Glad your getting better. I'm not having such a good start to 2014 either. All I tell my self is things will be back to normal soon grin and bare it.
Keep on making video I love them
Glad to see you're both feeling better! Thanks for the video!

6:13 Kyde skilfully avoiding the floppy Bacon. :D
I remember the container for the cheese being used in a smaller form in the original Lunchables when they used to come with a dijon mustard packet. I miss when they used to give those.
We have a similar sauce dispenser in Australia. Usually get tomato sauce in them.
Gambatte guys!! Can't wait to see the new vids!!!
I know the first thing I think of when I think 50's diners is peppery egg burgers - yum ! :P How does one get in the postcard club? Sounds like fun. Great to see you guys back and better.
The postcard club was something we did when we went to Myanmar, we might do something like it again in the future, we're not sure when though! -Eric
I just had to tell you how much I enjoy your videos. They are so entertaining . I live in the U. S. and I was wondering if you still had the postcard club going on? I would love to join in if you are.

The UK only got the 1955 burger I think, and they don't do them anymore. Need it back in my life.
03:12 Just letting you know that we have those packets in Australia. I have seen them with tomato and tartar sauce inside. No mess while putting sauce on a sausage roll...great idea :)

Yes Kyde I was going to say that chicken burger looks smashing !!!
Oishiiiiii
that kind of container was developed in the US 20 something years ago or so but it is more expensive to make that the condiment packets that it replaces so fast food companies in the US never adopted it. I remember watching news program about a food products research company and the one handed condiment package was one of the things they were touting as the future of fast food.
Kyde and Eric the sauce on the diner double beef looks like sauce from bo luc lac in vietnam
It may seem odd, but I totally love the "Raven" gachapon(s), if I was living there and had the money, I would definitely try to collect them all.
The only time I remember seeing a white sauce with such texture and color was in some kebab shops in Switzerland, on a kebab it is unbelievably good. Digging the subscribe and social media buttons at the end. Way to go!!
Thanks! -Eric
i love y'all's food vlogs haha!
Briana Nguyen Awesome, thanks! -Eric
We have those cheese dispenser things in Australia but only for like ketchup and bbq sauce 😊
CouldntDecideAName1 Nice!
glad you are feeling better, that burger looks hella-nasty! And Ahhhhh run from the dreaded cheese in a plastic! Can't wait for the myanmar videos!
lol i saw the bacon and right away i'm like "say it...say floppy bacon" i wasn't let down. :D
So floppy. -Eric

strocat25 What about sisters? Come on! haha! -Kyde
Kyde and Eric Cheers Sister! good to hear from ya :)
Best free advertisement McD's ever got
They need to put us on the payroll! -Eric
Hopefully you guys didn't get sick again from the "Mystery White Sauce". LOL. I'm sure several of the guys here are making bukakke jokes already.
Say what a sexy shot?? Hilarious 😂 that's what I heard unless I am wrong

haha, quite a review of our burger review! -E
I wanna see Japanized Mexican food! I think that would be a hoot! I'm also debating on sending you money to eat at Jiro's... It would be a hoot to see the old guy deal with ya two.

Awesome video-thanks for sharing! Have you guys tried the Shrimp Thousand-Island Wrap at McDonald's?
Lisa Jones I just looked at the Japanese Mcdonald's website and it doesn't show that wrap. Did you eat it in Japan? -Kyde
Kyde and Eric -I did not eat it but a co-worker of mine visited Tokyo about 6 months ago and ate it. I bet that it was a "limited" menu item. He said that he really enjoyed it! :)
Lisa Jones
Man, that's a bummer! We did miss it! -Kyde
we now have poutine at mcdonalds here in Canada !
French fries with just salt &pepper is good
Agree! Last one is soooooo Japan.
I was impressed that when Eric ate the "make it or break it fry" he got no cheese or anything in his beard. Skill.
Antonio Villasenor-Marchal Hahaha. -eric
Antonio Villasenor-Marchal I always impressed with that beard! -Kyde
(That's not a racist joke, just reminding people that we used to not have civil rights here for everyone.... )
The separate entrance here would be for me. -Eric
Oh ya, I've heard there are still a few bath houses around that have "no gaijins allowed" signs because some people don't want to bathe with foreigners that aren't fully down with the way you're supposed to use the baths.
Where is Kyde's oozing burger slow-mo ?? lol
Mcdonalds just got Poutine here in Canada... it was pretty good actually. Most fast food places have it, Wendys got it maybe... just over a year ago... and now Mcdonalds finally got it. When i first saw the fries i was like OH! maybe its like our poutine.. .. ... its not
The spicy buffalo chicken poutine in the Quebec side is great!!!! But the normal poutine that's offered in Ontario is gross :( lucky Frenchies
Eric looks like he has lost so much weight! I'm very glad to hear that you guys are feeling better. Kyde, kick that bug in the butt and feel better-er!
I can't wait to see more of you guys!
Signed,
Your humble fan girl/follower.
PS, Eric, you're awesome but kyde, I wuv you. You're my lady crush.
Get off my kool-aid! -Eric
If I were sick I be not at Mc D's eating. food. The cheese pkg is cool, could have kept swooshing it for warmer cheese. Lol
We weren't eating it when we were sick! We waited until we felt better! -Eric
With a stomach flu my friends, you don't eat like that, till at least a week later, Stand clear offast food, all I can say, eat healthier please
heated Easy Cheese on fries, hrmm.
Cool, message us when it's up! -Eric
Eric, I already uploaded 2 vlogs. Those were when we were in the Philippines, no Japan stuff yet lol but if you want to see a bit of philippines, please do watch :)
Hype!!!!!!!!
Omg that thumb nail! Haha nice!
hahahah. -Eric
Not sure what part of America they are getting these ideas from ...
I miss Mos Burger.
I want all of it.
We use those sauce packets in Australia. Not for cheese though, haha! We like real cheese here ;) Oh, who am I kidding... I buy McDonalds :P
that white sauce looks like sausage gravy
we have those sauce packets in new zealand to have with fish and chips
Lauryn Bertie Nice!
11:18 that lama is from a game pewdiepie played lol
Is there actually a specific name for that cheese container? The stuff inside is pretty suspicious-looking but the dispenser's awesome.
lbonini1gaming Not sure if there is a technical name for the dispenser, but we can call them squeeze boxes! -Kyde
Yes. Someone should find the patent for that.
we have them in Australia for tomato sauce for putting on meat pies but I haven't see them used on pies before.
I just wanted to note that the squeeze boxes actually come with sweet options. You can white/milk chocolate mix, butter/jam mix and other ones! -Kyde
WHAAAAT.
Need.
Pretty cool way to despence the cheese but the chesse... haha
When you posting your trip videos?
We explain in this video that they are behind a bit on being edited due to us being quite ill. Sorry, they will be up soonish! -Eric
Definitely don't have anything like that in Miami............
i really enjoy these videos even though im vegetarian haha
Hahaha, nice. -Eric
I want in on the postcard club lol really
Haha, it's something we did as a part of our trip to Myanmar. We might do it again sometime in the future...we're not sure right now! -Eric
Raven on a trashcan hell yeah!
that cheese packet is genius tho
I know, right! -Eric

I've been to American a lot of time's and don't remember ever egg being on they burgers or that weird looking sauce!
Yea, egg should be on burgers though, it's awesome. -Eric
Have you ever been to Australia? Try a roo burger mate they are fantastic!!
I have not, but eating a kangaroo is high on my to-do list. -Eric
Tiger Lil's in Perth has the best roo steak's around!!
Damn. Nearly 8 bucks for a burger. I'd go to MOS for that price range.
To be fair it was for the entire set. It's so funny how some people tell is that $8 is super cheap but others think it's expensive. It really depends on where you live, I guess. -Eric
Take your time with the Myanmar footage, just focus on feeling 100%. :)
You need sound effects xD Just slow motion eating a cheesy fry shot with some cheesy porn music or something.

Haha, I think he's out of our league. -Eric
Eat more vegetables!
Psh. -Eric
When is new video coming out
francisco aguirre I dunno, sometime this month we should have a new long video up. -Eric
Thanks Eric u guys are the best.
Was the sauce horseradish? sounds horseradishy.
Hah, I totoally have no idea. I know what horseradish sauce is, but I could never ID it. -Eric
''i want alot of that white sauce''... she says ... nobody??
In my humble opinion, McDonald's Japan is just trying a tad too hard with Japan-only fast-food items in order to compete against MOS Burger and Lotteria. The results have been a bit mixed, to say the least.
They hit a good burger sometimes. Either way, it's fun to see what they come up with.. -Eric
i think those frenchfries would have been ok if the cheese was more like nacho cheese
5:22-5:30 ...ooooohhhhhh yyyyyaaaaaa
Haha. -Eric
are you going to be living in japan for the rest of your life?
I don't think so, but I could die today so it's possible. -Eric
Anyone notice the girl behind them put a mask on?!
Hahaha, people here wear masks a lot in the winter, it's very common. -Eric
don't mess with mcdonalds
Check out "Eat your Kimchi" channel if you haven't yet! They are my Korean, UA-cam liaisons for culture I can't yet experience first-hand. I'm dubbing y'all (Texan here) my Japanese liaisons. Cheers!
+Boozamn Haha, but they just moved here! Now you are going to have a hole in your cultural exposure! -E
+Kyde and Eric My world was just rocked, & of all people to tell me too! Well I suppose this opens the door for y'all possibly running into each other at the very least! Love the channel at this point, keep it up guys ^_^-b
+Boozamn Greetings from Texas! I hope they meetup with all my other favorite Japanese vloggers and do some games or something.
again of topic but that cheese container is clever has shit.
Real talk! -E
We have them in Australia. Can basically find them at any takeaway
I hope the Japanese McDonald's are healthier than the American one, because i get sick everytime.
It seems a bit cleaner here, actually. We don't really eat at McDonalds in the states though, so maybe I'm crazy. -Eric
haha, well the food does look good and neater from what I see, and the burger condom keeps the ingredients nice and tidy XD. Love the videos.

「しつこい」って声をよく見ますね。日本のマックは現在日本人から不評です(´・ω・`)
