subbed..... i have GREAT ADMIREATION for all the work you all do around the world to preserve artifacts of any kind,,, without you we wouldnt have anything left to show our history.....THANK YOU!!!!!
I really enjoyed this video and the spectacular work you did. Hoping you have several more WWI & WWII artifacts to restore. Those historic items seem to be very popular.
@@ReXtorer hey, I like doing the same stuff as you do for restoring old knives and stuff like that I'm an amateur. Do you have any advice for an amateur to be better at this? I'm OK but I think learning from some thing like you who has more experience doing it if you could messaged me that would be great. Also, I need to know what products to get. Thanks.
I happen tomorrow have your video pop up on my sites and I must say I throughly enjoy seeing your work. As one who loves antiques and both bought and sold it’s always interesting to see them restored to their original beauty!
You did a fantastic job. BUT, have you thought about using JB Weld to fill in the pits after using the rust converter? I know that may not be what you want for some items but just a thought.
Hello @ReXtorer love watching your videos I always try to keep an eye out for similar items. Can you tell me what is the bit that you use to grind out all the rust in the pits and where can I get the bit from please? Many thanks Mark
The dogtag does not match up with the bayonet. Its a Pionier (Engineer/Sapper) dogtag, the Bayoned is Jäger/Infantry. The Pionier Bayonet had a saw back.
Interesting, thank you. One question if I may? The flange of the bayonet that fits on the rifle barrel seems to be missing part of the loop, I hope that is the right term for it? Is that gap in the loop how it was designed? Or did it just rust away? Thank you again.
I wonder, what'd happen if you were to leave something in the electrolysis tank for over three hours? Every video of yours I've seen has had it there for three hours, no more, no less.
WW 1. When bayonets were real bayonets. Very nice video.
I love how you restore historic objects with a full respect and a beautiful result.
Thanks!
Love all the restoration

Perfect...respected the action of time! This to me is restoration.
Well done My Friend, from, Bayamo, Cuba
Restorers are very glovey folk, aren’t they? Great vid.
You relax me bro a little more and see me slepping 😴😴😴😴😴😌😌😌
I’ve got one that my dad had. It’s still in working order and it’s still sharp.
Love the close up of the rust detail relaxing to watch 🤙
Cool. I would haved loved to see you put a mirror polished edge on it.
Am I the only one who finds this really satisfying

Super like!
The scraping off the top rust is the best part for me at least. 😊. I wish more restoration videos would indulge that scraping.
Nice job . This is a real restoration
Look up the word restoration 😅 He just knocked the rust off and put oil on it
Well Done! You preserved it well!
Its so gooooooooodddddd
What a piece of history right there! Much respect and great craftsmanship 👍👏🙏
I can’t imagine the time taken to dremel the rust out of all those pits. Beautiful work!
3 hours... Thank you!

Another beatiful restoration, Friend,👏👍 Friendship from Belgium 😉🇧🇪😉
Legends say the sword is still rusty to this day
Amazing ❤

Wooooow 😮😮😮😮
Nice restoration! It is good to Use a lot of chemicals for restoring such an old weapon
This guy is a maniac if he opens up the aluminium foil of a new bottle with a precision knife 😎😀
Its not perfect but fine 👍
I find watching your videos soothing and satisfying. But I'm curious what you do with your restored artifacts.
You did a fantastic job. BUT, have you thought about using JB Weld to fill in the pits after using the rust converter? I know that may not be what you want for some items but just a thought.
..good job..
In questo caso un “ottimo”lavoro.Complimenti
very rare, only millions made.
Looks tasty..
WOW! 💪
nice

Hi! It is diamond engraving bits. a.co/d/aS8yU1a
The dogtag does not match up with the bayonet.
Its a Pionier (Engineer/Sapper) dogtag, the Bayoned is Jäger/Infantry.
The Pionier Bayonet had a saw back.
Bravo!!!
Where do you get these items to restore them? I would love to get my hands on some of these items. Just awesome
I find them. Here I created a channel where I show the search process www.youtube.com/@ArtifactDigger
As usual fantastic job sir
Very very cool. I wonder if you could make the descriptive font a little more visible and bold. I missed them sometimes.
Hi. I will make it more visible
To anyone who sees this just know god loves you
Bro so asmr
Good job mister well done
Question, why you don’t (plug weld) then (grind smooth) to remove all these scars on the sword? Thank you.
Waw what an amazing job how much for a fully restored piece like that?
Nice work and a lot of work, respect.
Another great restoration!
nice work!
The right sand blasting would take the dark spots out of without losing much steel.
I use to use diesel to soak best yet and after using guide a few times I strained it through a old t shirt and used in my car
Magnifique restauration... Greetings from 🇧🇪
thanks!
I own a number of WWI and WWII bayonets, I have never seen an all metal one. They have wooden handles and metal blades
strange to think that if this is real, that knife was probably used to kill someone.
Interesting, thank you.
One question if I may? The flange of the bayonet that fits on the rifle barrel seems to be missing part of the loop, I hope that is the right term for it? Is that gap in the loop how it was designed? Or did it just rust away? Thank you again.
@Gareth T Thank you very much for the information, and for getting back to me. Have a great day.
⭕ Watch it in 2x Speed ⭕
the fact that this could have ran someone threw in wwi just like paul from aqotwf is just heartbreaking
obviously a bad comparison because this is a german bayonet but you get the idea
Would spray welding be a bad thing for these types of restorations? This ones an older setup you may be interested in minus the lathe
I have seen many gunsmiths boil pieces in water to convert the existing rust layer after the initial cleaning. What made you choose cold blue instead?
You sure your watching boiling in water the old technique includes severely burnt coffee grounds
You saved a dead
Thats is a fantastic job,congratulations and a Nice video..note 10
Still look old 😢 it needed to be shine I mean it's an antique from the WW1
I wonder, what'd happen if you were to leave something in the electrolysis tank for over three hours? Every video of yours I've seen has had it there for three hours, no more, no less.
Nothing will happen. The current decreases, the reaction is not so active. The time of electrolysis depends on the size of the object.
It kinda look like a sword, but a very short sword
how do you find the crunchiest rust ever? I really like your stuff - ima subbin.
I love crunchy rust😊
keren banget
Everybody else: cool restoration!
Me: would i get like, super-infection if i got stabbed by that thing before the restoration
That one looked like it was buried in concrete or something!
Rust up a fake knife then restore it. Absolutely genius.
Exactooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo xdddddddddddddddddddddd
I would have used a media blaster and acorn shells on this bayonet
Why does the thumbnail look like a burger king ad tho?
Sand blasting is much better than all of this process
No it really isnt
It was pretty gone. Guy did a great job with what he had.
it looks like cold bluing is not needed. because the viewer wants stuff that looks shiny.
Looks more like a sword to me.
Buy a sandblaster or a laser cleaner... please.
Anyone have any idea why it was covered in sand and cement?
Soldier Probably Left It Near Cement In Ww1
a welders slag hammer saves all that prep and electrolysis
That knife is older than the Eiffel tower
