A friend did CPR on her horse, saving its life. It can be done!
Yes I did it when I didn't even think I knew how, it was instinct!

Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!
You're a hero.
God bless you

I’ve done CPR on a dog. I used to work for a vet 40 years ago. Amazingly, we rarely saw cancer in pets back then in the practice I worked in.
Yes, like people, vaccines is the answer because we never had needles shoved in like that. I have stopped it since 2019, but I thought I was doing what was right. I hate Vets just like the Doctors these days.
@@vivrowe2763 You and me both. I manage to see an independent homeopathic vet. But they are all being bought out by big companies - now when these employed vets prescribe, they look at a computer screen to make sure they upsell everything. Hate them with a passion. Not just the vaccines - but all the wormers and the organophosphate flea treatments which they push monthly. These are so toxic and with chemicals that persist. And of course the food is ultraprocessed with hydrogenated oils. When I was a kid animals were fed table scraps - and you would hear friends at school saying that they knew their old dog was going to die as they would take themselves down to the bottom of the garden - that was when the vet was called. how many pets have natural signs of death in old age now? And of course the dogs are so inbred - not the Heinz varieties that were around. Anyway all the best to you and yours, and of course any furry friends! :)
Tula is such a good patient!
She is so patient ❣️
Hahahha true! ❤
Tula is such a good helper. ❤
As serious as this topic is, I still crack up at how patient Tula is as she's manhandled.
What a good pupper she is.
I had to do mouth to snout resuscitation on a baby goat that wasn't breathing. It worked and he was up and around shortly there after.
That’s awesome! 👏
@@chrstinedivinagracia7259 It was pretty awesome. We had cleaned him off and suctioned him out and were rubbing him down, but he just wasn't breathing, so I thought well it can't hurt so I just picked the little guy up and started giving him some breaths and viola he came around and was fine. I was very proud of myself I must say. LOL!!!
Amazing ❤ 🙏
So cool!❤
Tula, time to renegotiate your contract for an upgrade of treats lol. You work hard and do a great job. That looked like our sweet late Pippa.
😂😂😂
Thank you Doctor. 👵
Tula is doing GREAT !! she is a star!!!!
Tula is the best co-host ever. 🥰 She is such a good sport. Thanks for sharing this valuable information. ❤
Glad to see this
My dog was choking the other day i thought i was gonna have to figure out quickly how to do the hymlick and he is a heavy boy
So a video on helping a dog choking would be useful ❤
There is a video about choking.. will link once I get to find it
Tula is a saint… what a fantastic helper. 🎉
I am so excited about this. I love my baby girl
Great video Dr. Jones. Tula is a star❤🇬🇧
Thank You Dr Jones!!! Can You do one on choking on food Please???❤❤❤
Are we becoming vets? Maybe !
Vital skill! My service dof’s school taught us CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver - they even taught us how to adapt it for our disabilities. Well, knowing that helped me save my service dog’s life when he choked on a big piece of dental treat by accident. It was lodged too low to clear his airway. It took nearly two minutes, but I calmly said, “don’t worry, I’ll fix it!” If I got excited, he would have too. So I just very calmly did what I had to do. Just before I thought he might stop breathing, I dislodged it enough for him to FINALLY cough it out. He then wanted to eat the piece of treat he just choked on. Leave it to a Lab, lol. I was like, “Sorry, I think we are done with this piece tonight!” After it was done, I was shaking. In the moment, you need to be present and confident so you can do the job and not get your dog all riled and scared.
@MashaT22 Great job! So glad you had the skills to save him.
This was great thank you Dr. Jones! ..And Tula for being such a sweet participant! ❤😊 I feel bad that I’ve been a pet mom for almost my entire life & I never thought about cardiac arrest in animals. So now I’m going to find my cat’s heart 💞 Thanks again!
Thank you. Tula is such a great dog!! Never the least bit fazed by anything you do to her. Lovely dog!!
I am willing to learn more about the cpr concept I don’t know even how to do it on human anatomy but an animal intersring computer spells the words wrong oh well.
I want thank you for all your advice. All of us are so beholden to you. My little girl, a 10 yo mixed breed, had an ear infection that would not go away. Consulted vet, tried medications, but she still suffered. Your video about tea and honey worked perfectly. She was better in a couple days, cured in less than 14 days. I get green tea leaves from a friend in Guangzhou, boil these to make 6 liters of tea. I take i cup, heat it up and add 1/2 teaspoon of Buckwheat honey and mix with their filtered water (4 liters) for them to drink. All of my dogs actually look forward to their water this way.. you can visibly see they don't want plain water.
All of your models are super stars!
Thank you Dr.
Thank you! Always wanted to know how to do this. We had two puppies that died and unfortunately it looks like I was doing the compressions wrong but the breaths correct. They didn’t make it but now I know for next time should there be emergency. I can’t thank you enough thank you for your compassion and for educating us how to keep our pets safe and healthy.
Always good to know😊
Thank you Doc and special thanks to sweet Tula!
THANKS DR JONES! SHARED THIS OUT.

I wonder what she does when you have to go out of the house for a considerable length of time without her?
This is a vital video everyone should watch!! Lifesaving thank you so much and BTW you're still brilliant!!!!
Tula asks, "Did Teddy make it????" Thanks for this - have forwarded this to fellow pet owners! Brilliant clear, and really helpful. Thank you

Poor Tula 🤣
Looking forward to the webinar, thank you for all you & Tula do!
🤎🐾🐾
Good video. My dog is a nibbler and doesn't eat anything too big so I'm not super worried about him choking, but CPR is good to know just in case a freak thing happens.
Thank you and to Tula for being the demo dog.
Love your channel!
Poor Tulla...❤
A video on the hymlick would be great too please
Good job. Thank you

How do you know if your dog needs a transfusion
😻
Your dog said, are done yet 🤗 Thank you for this info. Unfortunately, my city requires the rabies vac. every year. 😐
Excuse me but has a recent video gone missing? (dmso)
This is just like human CPR lol. I once did CPR on the kids hamster and it worked! Lol who knew as an Surgical RN I would use it on our pets.
Andrew. At 4:58, you say 120 compressions per minute is one every 2 seconds. At 5:29, you say 2 compressions per second. I believe the second statement is correct. Am I right, or confused?
Comment down if you registered for the webinar! 🙌
all vaccines linked to cancer in dogs? which ones? does the frequency of dose matter? I can't join the webinar.

Is there anything for cat mouth cancer? My Lily has it under her tongue. Are you or anyone here familiar with this? Poor baby has difficulty eating and keeps drooling. Thing that kills me is all her other testing is in range!
Check this for helpful tips: veterinarysecrets.com/?s=cat+mouth+cancer
Doc, you made a serious mistake at 4:55 when first describing the number of compressions, you say 120 compressions is one per 2 secs. You correctly say 2 per second thereafter.
I caught this too. Love math!
I caught this mistake too. (Fellow math lover).
