Outstanding review. Nate gets it. Most folks want to hear the same pattern played over and over while knobs are turned and switches are pressed. Tinkering is what many do. This is the way. Nate… you’re awesome in so many ways. It comes through in your videos. Just an all around good human. 🙏
Their best two drives, in the best pedal format they've designed. 🤘 Perfect. Having presets is a great direction for DG as well, we spend a lot of time copying settings from vids like this to get in the ballpark when we first get these complicated pedals.
I bought this pedal… it had a little bit of a learning curve to it but once I got it down I can’t get enough of it! It sounds so good. The options are limitless.
Sounds amazing! I am currently using a Darkglass X Ultra + Darkglass Hyperluminal Compressor + Joyo Double Thruster (to add more distortion when the guitarist is soloing as my band only has 1 guitar) but this looks like a good option to replace my current setup in the future.
Darkglass, guys, we all love you. You've revolutionized modern bass tones and you've made sounds that used to take a full afternoon in the studio available in a single box... but come on. The same thing repackaged over and over again and updated before you even properly use the old one is getting kinda old
Hey Nate! Thanks for your awesome work and absolutely amazing book of bass - It has helped me tremendously! I was wondering if you could make a video or post about your Kiesel Zeus bass? I am thinking about making and buying one (through the builder tool). I was wondering what the specifications are on your bass? It sounds massive! I know you got it in 2019 or so, and I'd love to hear all about it
This is the equivalent of somebody releasing a gain stage pedal, a treble EQ pedal, an upper midrange EQ pedal, a lower mid EQ pedal, a bass EQ pedal, a distortion send auxiliary pedal, a compression circuit pedal.... then finally - VOILA, a channel strip in an "all in one" pedal
Indeed it does. :) Here's some info from the Infinity's Manual... To enter the tuner, press 0 and +∞ simultaneously. To exit the tuner, press 0 and +∞ simultaneously or one of the footswitch presets. The Microtubes Infinity will always return to the last active preset. The Microtubes Infinity will not output any audio when tuning. The Microtubes Infinity features a five-octave chromatic tuner, which can tune any note between A0 and A#5, allowing you to dial in any guitar or bass tuning that you desire. The tuning is derived from A4 = 440 Hz. Only one note can be tuned at a time. When the tuner mode is entered and there is no input signal, two red LEDs on the two rightmost sliders are shown by default. When an input signal is received, the left section of sliders will update to show the note that you are tuning. A small indicator is displayed to the top right of the note if it is a sharp note. When tuning, the two rightmost sliders will update to show how close your tuning is from the note’s perfect pitch. Distance below the center line indicates that the note is tuned flat, and distance above the center line indicates that the note is tuned sharp. The red LEDs will transition to green as you approach the perfect pitch, and the slider and preset LEDs will fully illuminate in green when you are on perfect pitch.
So the same as the ADAM and Photon, just other voices...AO still my fav DG tone. Now if those who have a ADAM or Photon, can he download those samples???
@@eyeofbass after tax I paid $666 😂 I got it on zzounds. It’s such a bad ass pedal. Took me a little while to figure it out. Definitely have to look at videos. There’s a fucking app for this pedal dude! Syncs to your phone that’s just crazy to me😂😂😂
The X circuit is basically a B3K with multiband compression. You can dial practically the same tone of the X pedal if u split the signal of a B3K and thats why this is featured with a classic B3K and a B3K with multiband compression.
@@nckSEVEN794 yeah but if it is not the extact same thing you can't say it is in the unit xD. I dont know why they call that "multi" bands compression, because they just put compression on the low. It is not like different compression on different frequencies. This brand start to fall off their place imo
@@nckSEVEN794 idk, I had both pedals and their drive didn't sound similar. The X had a more compressed and clean low end with unpleasant and shrill highs that I could not tame, unlike they B3K which saturates more evenly
why does overly compressed sound sounds so disturbing? like it almost gives me dizziness and sickness, is it because it sounds like your skull pressure is too high lol
I'm a big fan of nate and darkglass, and I've owned multiple darkglass pedals....but I just kinda feel like at this point they're just recycling pedals to some degree...like what's the real difference between this and the Adam. There's only so many ways you can skin the same cat.
